Corey Stewart Makes Mexican Congress Back Down
By Greg L | 26 October 2007 | National Politics, Prince William County | 90 Comments
Earlier today Prince William County Chairman Corey Stewart learned that a human rights organization set up by the Mexican Congress would come to investigate the conditions of the expatriate community here in the county. There were a couple of options here — one was to whine about it and play victim, and the second was to tell these knuckleheads intent of violating American sovereignty to bring it on, and he would make sure it turned into the most explosive political issue imaginable, right before the election. Corey Stewart, as usual, decided to fight.
Corey contacted me, prompting my post earlier tonight. He also contacted a local newspaper, giving them a helpful head’s up which would allow them to research the story. I understand that a reporter got in touch with Mexicans Without Borders to see if he knew about this and to get his reaction. From there, the word spread like wildfire within the illegal alien lobby that days before an election, representatives of the Mexican Congress would be crawling around Prince William County working on behalf of illegal aliens. This transcended the typical political tone-deafness of Mexicans Without Borders, and apparently the international phone lines started burning up.
Within hours, the trip of this international delegation was abruptly canceled, and undoubtedly the spin here is going to be that Corey Stewart “politicized” this. Damn right he did. Had he gone to the State Department to lodge an official complaint, and have this work through tedious diplomatic channels, this delegation would have come and violated our national sovereignty and left long before the diplomats would have been able to shut this atrocity down. Instead, Corey decided to play hardball here, goad this delegation into coming here, and set a stage that would ensure that this would result in a level of righteous public outrage that would hammer diplomatic relations between the United States and Mexico for years. About the only thing that didn’t go completely right is that Mexico blinked before he thought they would. We really could have used a few more news cycles on this in order to make the biggest crater possible here.
Even if this didn’t go perfectly, it’s pretty stunning that while President Bush can’t get a damn thing accomplished with the Mexican government, Corey Stewart can get these clowns to back down in hours. It reminds me of when American hostages who had suffered 444 days in captivity were suddenly released within an hour of Ronald Reagan taking the oath of office.
Way to go, Corey Stewart. Not only does he have the illegal aliens running scared, but he’s gotten the Mexican government running scared also. Maybe that will be enough to get them to change those signs we’ve been hearing about in Mexico that say “come to Manassas” into signs that warn them to stay away. Pretty good performance for a County Supervisor, don’t you think?
UPDATE: The Washington Post story is out. Apparently Mexicans Without Borders had coordinated this visit of Mexico’s Commission on Human Rights, which is lead by Mauricio Farah, the same guy who has been providing maps to illegal aliens that would help them evade the Border Patrol. As I predicted, they’re complaining that this has turned into ‘a political weapon’. My belief is that this from the very start was intended to be just that. Check, Ricardo Juarez.
Of course they’re still coming, it’s just that they’re going to be low-key. I say that our federal government should kick these “investigators” out. This is an outrage.

Oh snap, I was hoping that they would appear so we could ask about those signs and finally put up or shut up those rumors at last.
“Had he gone to the State Department to lodge an official complaint, and have this work through tedious diplomatic channels, this delegation would have come and violated our national sovereignty and left long before the diplomats would have been able to shut this atrocity down.”
That would be true, Greg, if Corey went to them as one person, even if he is Chairman of the BOS. But, if he had called an emergency meeting of the Board and they had acted as a body representing a large local government…believe me, they would have gotten action.
If I were him, I’d bring this to the Board anyway…and have them tell the State Department that, given the Mexican government’s intentions in this matter, that any Mexican consular offices present in Prince William County are no longer welcome and that they should pass that on to the Ambassador and take THAT through the appropriate closure channels. Those offices have no inherent right to be in our County.
Chances are Corey Stewart is making this up for political gain.
Way to go Corey. Give those Mexicans He–!
We are behind you 100%
How dare the Mexican government come and intimidate us.
That’s what they like to do. Mexican Without Borders had one of their members drive around in my neighborhood with RACIST written on his Hum Vee - trying to intimidate us the day before the October 16th BOCS meeting.
And if OTHER “consular” offices in our county who are supporting their illegal alien nationals don’t like it…they can go too!
Anonymous,
Why don’t you come live here and see for yourself what goes on. You are just one sorry person. I pity you. I wonder if you would ever recognize truth. I’ve seen Mexicans Without Borders intimidation tactics up close. You should get a copy of the Oct 16th BOCS meeting. But you will not do that because the truth doesn’t interest you.

Time will tell, another song playing in my head” It’s all about the he said she said BS! I was on the fence about Corey, will see.

Oh come on you must be kidding– Corey Stewart is showing leadership by not backing down to these outsiders. No one can come into Prince William County and push us around or try a political stunt in an attempt to embarrass us. Lesson here–Don’t violate our sovereignty and don’t try to push our chairman around. He doesn’t frighten easily and neither do we!!! You should try being a leader instead of casting aspersions against our Chairman and county.
Just my Thoughts-
Trent A Barton
Yes. yes… Corey was showing leadership… as he always will… but for us political hacks… we wanted the Mexican Government to show up in force… big ralley on November the 5th (cinco de November), wave the flags, scream in Spanish, and make the voters bullet-biting-mad.
Darn… by thier word ye shall know them.
Oh, well… we know them any way.
Redawn,
I wouldn’t surprise me that a delegation from the Mexican Congress would come here. Intimidation is the game they like to play. A Hispanic male was driving his Hum Vee decorated with RACIST in my neighborhood the day before the Oct. 16th BOCS meeting. I couldn’t believe that a group would resort to those type of tactics but after seeing that I can believe it.
Remember the lady at citizens time Oct. 16th who told the Board they could kiss her a–. How about the interpreter that told the Board they would burn in hell.
These people are out of control. Nothing surprises me about them and nothing surprises me about the country the come from, Mexico.
Trent, are you that easy? What was there to back down or stand up to? You call contacting a blog about some Mexican delegation coming here standing up to anything?
What could they have done? They have no power here and the group that Stewart clamped down on (illegal immigrants) can’t vote and so posed no threat. Even Greg insinuates that Corey was planning to use this to score political points but peaked the issue too early.
This is what is going to destroy our party in the long run. Phonies like you and Stewart think it shows toughness to beat up on people with no power. Real tough guys.
Part of me still thinks this must be a joke. What real leader would run to a blog to “stand up” to some Mexican Human Rights delegation? I mean, seriously, think about it. It’s something you’d expect out of a teenager, not the County Chair.
Anonymous 10:59
Come up with a name. Yes, it is wise to contact this blog. It is read by citizens who care and who will do something to come up with solutions. Most readers of this blog are becoming community activists and are setting the example for the rest of the country.
This is beyond belief! Hope to see some written comments from the Mexican embassy regarding all this. Stewart really knows how to play you folks. Hard to believe that the country of Mexico, or any country, would fold because of the “threat” from the top supervisor of PWC. I mean, Prince William county! Get real!
If the Mexican government gets involved here, do you really think this won’t have international diplomatic implications? It’s absolutely improper for a foreign government to inject itself into the political debate within a jurisdiction of a sovereign nation. Stuff like this causes wars, Krutis.
Just watch the mainstream media talk about this tomorrow.
First time I have been acused of being easy.
Just my Thoughts
Trent A Barton
They were not injecting themselves into the political debate. They were looking after their citizens, which is the duty of any country’s embassy and/or consulate.
Krutis is a total waste of keyboard time, in my experience and, of course, opinion. Leila and Lovisa offered far more to the debate than he has.
Post story
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/10/26/AR2007102602173.html?hpid=topnews
AWCheney - I’m glad you’re adding so much to the debate. What was it you said again?
Are you having difficulty reading Krutis?
By a commission formed by the Mexican Congress? You’ve GOT to be kidding here. One, they have a consulate that is perfectly capable of protecting the interests of their uninvited citizens. Second, if there are somehow human rights concerns, there are a host of non-governmental organizations that are fully capable of providing non-biased evaluations of humanitarian concerns.
But getting the Mexican government itself to come into Prince William County in order to weigh in on the actions of a county government is an outrage. These guys wanted to play a political game, and they lost before they even got started.
Mauricio Farah, head of the Mexican commission’s migrant rights division, said in a phone interview from Mexico City: “These kinds of ordinances are criminalizing people who are not criminals, who have only come here to work. We respect the right of every sovereign nation to make its immigration laws, but a person’s entitlement to basic human rights is not dependent on their immigration status. And these kinds of discriminatory, xenophobic and even racist laws are stripping people of their fundamental right to political, economic and social development.”
I love this guy, he thinks illegals are not criminals. No wonder Mexico is a cess pool. We should ask him how they treat immigrants who come to mexico illegally. Talk about human right issues.
Someone south of the border seems a tad bit confused as to the difference in civil rights and human rights.
Quote from the WaPo story:
“Mauricio Farah, head of the Mexican commission’s migrant rights division, said in a phone interview from Mexico City: “……We respect the right of every sovereign nation to make its immigration laws, but a person’s entitlement to basic human rights is not dependent on their immigration status.”
How is not allowing illegal aliens who have committed a crime to remain in this country a violation of human rights; how is allowing illegal aliens to partake of taxpayer-funded entitlement programs to which they have NO legal right a violation of human rights; how is demanding that illegal aliens be held accountable for violations of the law just as any legal resident or citizen would be a violation of human rights? This is no less, and perhaps more, intimidation than was attempted by our own so-called human rights committee right here in Prince William County, but at least those were OUR idiots, not imported!
Dolph,
Yup. The problem is Mexico thinks they can say and do as they please with regard to our immigration policy because President Bush has not told them to go to H***.
More on related issues.

From all indications, Bush appears to be cozying up to the new prez as much as he did the old one.

I may not agree with his immigration stance, but that of course is his right to have his opinion. What I do not understand is why he has just rolled over and allowed Mexico to take control of the issue without standing up to them and telling them to butt out of our internal affairs.
Of course the fact his sister in law is from Mexico has nothing to do with it…..
His sister in law is from Columbia not Mexico

Columba Bush (born August 17, 1953) is the wife of former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and the sister-in-law of President George W. Bush.
Bush was born as Columba Garnica Gallo in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, where she grew up and attended high school. Her parents were Jose Maria Garnica, a migrant worker, and Josefina (or Josephina) Gallo. She met Jeb Bush in 1971 in León, where he was teaching English as part of a foreign exchange program. They were married on February 23, 1974, in Austin, Texas.[1] The couple have three children: George P. Bush, Noelle Bush, and Jeb Bush, Jr.. She made headlines in June 1999 when she misled U.S. Customs officials about $19,000 (US) in new clothing and jewelry she brought into the country because she did not want her husband to know how much she had spent on a five-day Paris shopping trip.[2]
Bush’s relationship with her mother was the subject of a brief profile in the book Mamá: Latina Daughters Celebrate Their Mothers by Maria Perez-Brown (ISBN 0-06-008386-7). Her parents divorced in 1963.
Columba Bush is from Mexico.
Greg L,
I feel you scared!, I think If you come to a big fight, you don’t waite for the second fist.
Whoopty do! Columba Bush is from Mexico! Ole! That has a lot to do with Corey Stewart making the Mexican government backing down - I guess - Explanation please, or are you all getting slap happy this time of day; night rather?
Thinking of that. I’d just love to have one of your children fall in love with an illegal Latino/a! It could happen, you know.
Anonymous, if you are illegal you best find that map to Montgomery County, MD…it’s really YOUR best bet, other than heading home. Threats only strengthen our position.
I stand corrected–thanks for the quick research
Actually, Kru, the more my children see of the activities of MWB, the less they want to interact with any in la raza - their actions are backfiring, not endearing themselves.
Perhaps we should send rights groups to the southern border of Mexico and talk to the people who have been killed by the army and police.
I don’t think they will get many answers, but it may highlight Mexico’s treatment of their “illegal”s!”
Krustis,
That is not going to happen. I am raising my son to not associate with criminals.
You just can’t stand the fact your side is loosing. I’m sure that if the United States wanted to do the same, you would start to rail about imperialism and the like. And how America was just trying to be a bully.
If they come (and I don’t believe they should) they would find the type of place they can only dream about. A County where the crime rate is low, the traffic lights work and people go to work everyday. A place where the police do their job without corruption and shakedowns unlike where they live. Where the leaders are elected in a proper, well run manner.
My only fear is that some of them will want to stay.
Corey Stewart fights, and he is the answer to my prayers. I so look forward to his reelection. I by the way am someone who had no idea who he was or anything else about local politics 18 months ago.
I am really amazed that MWB and their ilk are so cowed at this point. They have no strategy and are walking dead, just waiting for what I assume with be a slaughetrhouse election for them in November.
Thank you Greg, thank you Corey.
Redawn,
It’s true read the Metro section of today’s (Saturday, October 27, 2997) Wash. Post. The article is titled: “Rights Officials From Mexico Cancel Visit” which is on page B2. Here is an interesting portion of that article:
“Mauricio Farah, head of the Mexican commission’s migrant rights division, said in a phone interview from Mexico City: “These kinds of ordinances are criminalizing people who are not criminals, who have only come here to work. We respect the right of every sovereign nation to make its immigration laws, but a person’s entitlement to basic human rights is not dependent on their immigration status. And these kinds of discriminatory, xenophobic and even racist laws are stripping people of their fundamental right to political, economic and social development”.
Let’s see,
Fundamental right to political development:
Protests, car caravans going down 234 with RACIST remarks, attempted economic boycotts, protesting at BOCS meetings and jeering at people who supported the resolution while telling the Board to kiss my a$$, inviting a wing of the Mexican government to come into the county to investigate, etc.
I suppose they think they are entitled to vote.
Fundamental right to economic developement:
Go to 7-11, get picked up for the day’s work, get paid in cash and pay no taxes, give fake social security numbers or better yet steal an identity, celebrate after work by buying case loads of beer and getting so drunk that they have to urinate in public in front of other people, driving without license and insurance, running boarding houses, etc.
I suppose they think they are entitled to take our money too.
Fundamental right to social development:
Free education, free health care, public assistance with mortgage and rents, houses open with screen doors inviting people off the street, SUR 13 and MS 13, thefts, rape and murder.
I suppose they think they are entitled to take over Prince William County.
Redawn,
Guess who invited them here? - Ricardo Jaurez, el presidente of Mexicans Sin Fronteras (Mexicans Without Borders). I suppose it is another bully tactic he wanted to throw at us before the elections.
Also, you are good at letting us know about the DREAM act. You may want to keep an eye on this organization because they plan on visiting with our U.S. Congress next week. I’m sure they will lobby them. So keep your eyes open the DREAM act may resurrect itself after next week.
All,
Corey went to bat for us. We need to support him 100%.
I just want to say thanks to all of you for alerting us to the Dream Act this week. Seems like the Dream Act doesn’t want to die.
I wonder if the PWC Human Rights Commission had a hand in this visit? Perhaps Corey ought to give the PWC HRC some “guidance” on contact with our Mexican visitors.
Old Soldier,
You have made a very good point. That group definitely needs some over-seeing.
Bunch of ignorant Know-Nothings…every last one of you is an embarassment to the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Yeah, why would Mr. Stewart follow the laws. Only certain folks have to.
Krutis, one of my children has fallen in love with an illegal Latino. It hasn’t changed anyone’s point of view on this issue, just has made life more complicated. My daughter worries about things now that citizens take for granted. I still oppose any form of amnesty even if it would make her life much easier.
Her boyfriend, who entered illegally, truly did not understand how bad it is to do that. (In Latin American countries they are obviously pushing illegal immigration to the USA and downplaying the criminality of it.) With the increase in enforcement of laws like in PWC and the numbers that are being deported, the message has to be getting back to the offending countries that illegal immigration is no longer like jaywalking. The culture of acceptance among Hispanics seems to be changing with more enforcement.
Enforcement may seem cruel and racist to anyone who doesn’t want to follow the rules, but that’s just false justification.
Hopefully Karma will not bite me in the butt for sticking to my guns on this, but if I have to get a passport to visit my daughter one day, that’s just what I’ll have to do.
Anon 10:45,
Cry me a river. What other types of criminals do you support?
Old Soldier,
Excellent question! The HRC, has no regard for what the BOS directs them to. Prime example, the Immigration Sub-Committee=TOTAL FARC. Not to mention the Chairman was sitting on the stage with MSF at a rally in “Sean C’s Plaza”, behind the Mc Coart Bldg back in August on a Sunday afternoon.
My guess if to venture one is they or at least one of the members had a hand in this invitation.
Triple A bond rating anyone…….???!!! Just because you don’t understand it doesn’t make it un-important.
One Voice,
Actually, most of us do understand it (AAA Bond Rating). I’m wondering if you do.
Corey Stewart is about small Government and fiscal conservatism. Illegal Immigrants are a risk to the county because we can’t measure just how many of them there are or how much they cost us. Reducing this risk while reducing the size of Government and cutting costs will protect our AAA Bond Rating. The members of the BOCS who voted against asking developers to cover their actual costs are the ones who put our AAA Bond Rating at risk.
It is important… and Corey will protect it while making this County a better place for all of us to live. If you’re a free spending liberal, never mind.
I hope he does run for Governor.
They say Obama is an 8th cousin of Dick Cheney. Maybe George W. is a cousin of Vincinte Fox? Wouldn’t that be something? At least we would have a reason for him selling this country out to Mexico. Right no there is no valid reason given for pushing amnesty as he is doing.
Lafayette,
The Washington Post article credits Ricardo Juarez for inviting the group here.
Lafayette,
By the way, XX19 on my street foreclosed. I talked with someone that was at the house taking out a refrigerator. Guess what? They had 3 refrigerators in that house. His wife is the agent that will handle the sale and possible auction. The orginal “owner’s” real estate agent refuses to hand over the keys. I get amazed everyday at the shenanigans.
It should be a crime to sell a house to an illegal alien or one who harbors them.
Old Soldier - Know more that you think or will ever give me credit for so I see no sense in continuing that conversation.
Corey Stewart is about Corey Stewart and short term gains that will propel him into the “limelight”, positive or negative.
Short term gains do not get us a AAA bond rating.
But, I guess you know that.
Get what you pay for.
Two ESOL students have moved and two new students from military families have moved in. Things seem to be turning. Prince William’s reputation is a plus!
If the USA did this to Mexico they would take action, but we are so PC & Corrupt we let Mexico use a bunch of illiterate Peons with a average 6 grade education take this Nation & make the tax payers pay them for turning this country into another Third World Cesspool!
1. Did the United States violate the sovereignty and borders of Mexico by encouraging, aiding, & assisting 20 million of their most undesirable illiterate American peasants to cross the border illegally?
2. Did American send 128 Billions worth of drugs each year across the Mexican Borders to Destroy Millions of Mexican lives?
3. Did illegal American Citizens in Mexico, kill nearly 10 thousands Mexicans each year & Rob, Rape & Assault 10,s of thousands more?
4. Did American illegal aliens engage in wholesale forgery of vital public documents and commit identity theft in order to secure employment, education, credit, and access to public services?
5. Did American illegal aliens feed at the public trough for health care, education, food, housing and other vital services to which they were not entitled, and which cost Mexican taxpayers hundreds of billions of pesos each year?
6. Did the impact of serving American illegal aliens force scores of medical facilities into bankruptcy, resulting in the loss of vital medical services for Mexican citizens?
7. Did American illegal aliens who refused to pay for medical services manage to send $30 billion a year back to the United States?
8. Did American illegal aliens refuse to learn Spanish, and demand that Mexico provide services in English at considerable cost to Mexican citizens & to their Culture?
9. Did the children of American illegal aliens slow down and otherwise impede the education of Mexican children because of language and cultural issues & add Billions to the Education cost & Dummy down the Mexicans Children Education?
10. Did American illegal aliens demand driver’s licenses despite being in Mexico illegally? Did they demand that driver instruction and testing materials be in English?
11. Did American illegal aliens demand the same reduced tuition rates offered to Mexican students there legally?
12. Did American illegal aliens vote in Mexican elections and alter election results?
13. Did American illegal aliens overwhelm Mexico’s penal system, making it impossible to deal with the citizen inmate population?
14. Did the largest state in Mexico contract with another Mexican state for the housing and care of 15,000 inmates because of the impact of American illegal aliens?
15. Did American illegal aliens overwhelm Mexican hospitals, medical clinics, and emergency rooms and refuse to pay for medical services received?
16. Did American illegal aliens in Mexico in 1986 receive amnesty in an attempt by the Mexican government to end illegal migrations once and for all?
17. Did the Mexican government refuse to enforce the provisions of the amnesty, thereby causing the American illegal alien problem to grow seven times greater in the span of 20 years?
18. Did millions of American illegal aliens take to the streets to protest pending legislation in the Mexican congress that would tighten border security and enforce the nation’s immigration laws?
19. Did American illegal aliens wave Old Glory and scream “Yes we can!” and “We are Mexico” & “everything for the “White race & nothing for the rest” in English as they marched to protest the rule of law in Mexico?
20. Did American illegal aliens cry “Racism” every time they were criticized for being in Mexico illegally or challenged to learn Spanish and assimilate into Mexican society?
21. Did Americans Politicians state Often & Openly they were going to take Mexico over? They way Mexican officials have in Mexico & La Raza the Mexican racist, hate Org in the USA has?
22. Did Mexico pay for over 300.000 American Anchor Babies born to Illegal Americans Citizens each year in Mexico & give the Babies Mexican Citizenship?
23. Did American drive millions of cars & trucks each day without driver Licenses or Insurance, clogging the roads, polluting the air & trashing the environment?
24. Did illegal Americans take Mexicans jobs & drive Mexico’s standard living down by 250 billions per year?
25. Did Americans Illegally in Mexico bred like Fruit Flies on a Viagra diet & make the Mexican Taxpayers paid for their medical bills & the 10,000.00 Average per year to send them to School at the expense of Mexican Children Education?
26. Did American Citizens Carry third diseases across the Border to Mexico and infect 10,s of thousands of Mexicans Citizens with disease resistance stains of TB & type A & B liver diseases from feces on food?
No American did not, Mexico did that & much more to American, and they dare to complain!
American is on the down hill race to Destruction! When you ignore the Constitution & Laws of the land to add Millions of Law Breaking, Fast breeding, Uneducated, Criminally Inclined, Welfare loving, Education hating citizens with hated of American & Loyally to a Foreign Nation then you are asking to be destroyed!
If Americans Politicians were not so Corrupt & Willing to sell this Nation & Americans Citizens out for Money & Votes the US Military would be on the Border with Guns Protecting this Nation from the Largest Invasion in History!
This is precisely why immigration, traditionally, has been restricted to the Federal realm. The United States can not have individual states or localities entering into the ring of foreign policy.
I often hear people claim that immigration is in the Federal realm. To those people, I ask where in the Constitution of the United States is immigration an enumerated power of the Federal Government.
In fact, the constitution does not mention anywhere immigrants or immigration. I have a copy in front of me and double checked before writing this post (it isn’t that long of a document).
My favorite amendment is the 10th… The Powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited to it by the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
It does belong to the feds becuase of internationl relations and laws. Things like decendant of all Phillipino WWII vets have automatic citizenship if they wish.
The problem is that the feds have not done their jobs with regard to security period. Homeland, International, Border - you name it it’s awful. Each enforcement agency has their own jurisdiction, regulations and won’t share intelligence. We’d rather pretend we’re fighting a war on drugs for pete’s sake and give the money to Mexico. Who elected this idiot??? You’re all to blame!!!
I spent two hours on the Key Bridge once while these folks figured out who should handle the death that ocurred as a result of a car accident. Turns out it was US Park Police as they were over the GW Parkway. Give me a break.
If the feds and congress did their jobs, PWC would not have to do it for them. These people wouldn’t be here.
The Federal Government is generally responsible for Borders, Treaties, etc. Some incorrectly attempt to expand that responsibility to the illigal immigration issue. That would be incorrect. They have no responsibility for how individual States and Counties handle people who entered this country illegally. The Federal Government, in general, is a mess… too big, too expensive, and too engaged in making War.
Thomas Jefferson added the 10th Amendment to protect States rights and prevent the Federal Government from over-reaching (as liberals would like it to do). We are well within our rights to address the illegal immigration issue from the standpoint of those things not specifically enumerated as the obligation of the Federal Government. Note that Prince William County identified benefits that we are obligated to provide to illegal immigrants and made no attempt to deny them. For those things we are not obligated to do, let’s have at it.
We often give the Federal Government far too much credit (and authority over our lives). That’s a mistake. I’m glad Corey Stewart is attempting to rectify that mistake.
Talking in my best Don Pardo voice–
“Corey Stewart… fighting illegal immigration!!!!!!!”
Oh, pulease.

Have you noticed that it is the Latino “realtors” that are perpetuating this fiasco. None of these houses, once they are Latino “controlled” passes out of Latino system. That should tell you something!

This is a good one for Lou Dobbs. Anyone informed him of the now-defunct Mexician commission. He could get a couple of miles out of that one.

The should be taking care of their own people in their own country. The only interest they have with their people in this country is to make sure the money continues to flow back to Mexico. If that flow of money was stopped, Mexico would be lower than Dafur in the world standings.
Krutis,
I agree with Peace. I like your style, too.
How do we stop our Prez from giving him $500M?
An article in today’s MJM, page A5 - (10/27/07)
“Feds start campaign for volunteers to teach immigrants American way.”
So now they want us to volunteer to teach English to immigrants. Who are they talking about? Illegals?
Legals? Here’s another quote:
“Roughly 3 million people have become U.S. citizens, and another 5 million have become U.S. residents in the last 5 years, according to Homeland Security statistics.
What does that mean?
And they hope to use $100 million allocated in last spring’s failed immigration bill to fund new English and other civic classes……
My head is gonna explode…..
I’m off to warn my neighbors that there’s a predator in the hood. Can’t even call it a “neighbor” hood anymore.
Wow, if you believe the other side of the story, the Mexican human rights group believes that Corey Stewart was the one using their planned trip to Prince William County for his political gain.
Let me see… Stewart gets wind that the county’s about to be checked out by a human rights group. Not good, just before an election… check.
He decides he’ll twist this around and say the group is coming here to stir things up. Check.
The group then decides its not in their best interest to do this because Corey Stewart will try to use it for his political gain. Check.
Stewart thinks fast — what to do, what to do? Check.
“I know. I’ll call BVBL and tell him that I heard they were coming, and that I stood up to them and told them not to come! I’ll do this before I even contact a newspaper!Yeah, right. Then BVBL and his HSM crowd will yell from the mountaintops that I stood up for them once again in the fight against illegal immigration!”
BVBL, either he’s using you and your group for his political gain, or you’re on Corey Stewart’s payroll. Which is it?

Phil Graham did this stuff in Texas. They called it Gramstanding. He’d create a problem, have his aids publize the negative impacts then ride it on a white horse and save the day. Worked well until someone committed suicide because they though they would be ruined. Nice guy.
We have promises being made to the Career firefighters about reducing the volunteer’s control (Chapter 9), the he finds out that most of the career don’t live in PWC, so back to the volunteers and makes them a different promise.
Promises the PD that he will increase their retirement calculation (at a cost of $1.7million). He can’t even pay for the Immigration Enforcement.
He can’t afford to add police officers and fireman next year - he can’t afford to meet the county’s payroll for the remainder of this year.
He invites 400,000 to a board meeting and doesn’t even have the simple good manners to give his consituant the 3 minutes as are the norm and he can’t even stay in his seat not to mention pay attention.
The current 5 year plan is not balanced - first time since PWCBOS got their AAA bond rating.
Tell me something good. Not something bad about anyone else, just tell me something good about this guy. And it can’t be what Stirrup started and this guy glommed onto.

One too many Coronas.
of course, lost in all this is that Corey didn’t prevail. The Mexicans are still coming.
Why is it that no one wishes to address BL’s 26 points, above….??
Probably because we agree with BL.
After reading BL’s statistics the first time I ignored his posts because the statistics seemed exaggerated. What was posted today makes all the sense in the world. BL asks some very valid questions.
Freedom,
That is easy to answer. Those that support criminals do not want to fact the facts, otherwise they would have to admit their argument is stupid and easily defeated. We already know criminals are stupid…..
Regarding BL’s 26 “points.” They are his usual list, reformatted in reversal.
As usual, he never bothers with any citations for any figures. As one of his favorites, he suggests again that illegal aliens have killed nearly 10,000 Americans each year. He says this despite the fact that the data on the immigration and/or citizenship status of people who commit homicide AND their victims is not kept. This is not even to mention the fact that in the past several years, the total number of murders has hovered around 16,000-17,000 annually so he would be claiming that more than half of the murders in this country of more than 300 million people are committed by illegal aliens. And that all those murders, he says nearly 10,000, had American victims, not victims who are also illegal or legal immigrants.

Similar numerical and factual problems are present in several other of his points, along with the usual animalistic language of breeding etc. Unfortunately, none of you who apparently agree with his politics have any problem with his language, with his exaggeration, or with the fact that his numbers on crime and other matters have no basis in actual data.
If the stats are off here or there–so what? The fact remains that the illegal aliens should not be here and need to return home. They are detrimental to our society and what about their home countries–aren’t they needed there?
What is wrong with these countries that they are shifting their population here? Well, we know the answer. It’s for the remittances AND it gets rid of their social problems. I’m tired of being enablers for corrupt Mexico and other countries. The corruption will never end as long as the US functions as their safety valve.
Well said, Leila.
You’re right, some of the statistics are suspect, but the questions asked are valid. For example, #19, how arrogant and obnoxious would it be for US citizens to do that same thing in Mexico? Why should we be expected to put up with this lack of respect towards our laws?
The fact of the matter is that illegals have pushed too far and the American people finally have the will to uphold the rule of law. I used to be liberal on illegal immigration but not anymore. There is a limit. Since not even the Dream Act can be passed by itself, the illegal lobby might be better off educating their people on respecting the rule of law.
monticup - “stats being of here and there”. No big deal. Don’t confuse me with (true) facts!
What a pathetic shell game you play.
Leila and Krutis should refute the stats by providing Department of Justice and FBI numbers … But here is the double edged sword they fall on, the dirty little secret that unmasks the seemingly plausible con:
Crimes commited by aliens on our soil are not recorded, tracked or reported by the DOJ or FBI. Alien rapists, murderers, drunk drivers, arsonists, counterfeiters - no matter the type or severity of the crime - are simply listed in with the citizen criminal population stats. The distinguishing data just vanishes.
And Hispanics - well, there are magically no “Hispanic” or “Latino” criminals. they are classified as White, unless they are Hispanics of African ancestry, in which case they get lumped together with Black crime stats.
From “A Local Outrage Draws Attention”, poster Around the corner kindly provided a link to the Virginia sex offender data base.
After looking over the large number of registered offenders in my zip code, I was struck by how many had Hispanic names - and yet not one was listed as Hispanic. All but one classified as White. The lone exeption was classified as Black.
An illegal alien named Carlos De La Cruze Ramos just got a year in prison for raping a 13 year old girl in Chesapeake, Va.
As a crime statistic, he wll be counted as a White American male. Commit a crime, and your true identity gets erased, recreated and newly classified as an American White guy. Had this guy come up with a cure for cancer, nobody would be hiding his race, ethnicity or country of origin facts.
And I can’t help but wonder how much jail time Krutis would be facing if he got caught having a “relationship” with a 13 year old “girlfriend”.
