Driving liberals, dhimmis and illegal alien apologists absolutely insane since 2005...

79% Of Virginia Voters Agree With PWC

By Greg L | 30 October 2007 | Prince William County | 24 Comments

So how are things going to Democrats like Corey Riley, Manes Pierre and Sharon Pandak that don’t want to have local law enforcement get involved in protecting our community from illegal aliens?  Not so well, if what Riley is reporting will have an impact on November 6th:

Backing up those views, 79% believe that if a police officer pulls someone over for a traffic violation, the officer should automatically check to see if that person is in the country legally. Sixty-seven percent (67%) believe that illegal aliens discovered in this manner should be deported. Support for this approach is found across partisan and demographic lines. From an ideological perspective, 79% of conservatives believe illegal aliens discovered through a traffic violation should be deported. Forty-seven percent (47%) of liberal voters agree.

Gerry Connolly, Janet Oleszek and Rex Simmons, you’re next.

It does pay to read for comprehension: “The survey was conducted in partnership with Fox Television Stations, Inc.” No bias there…nope.

You prefer the left-leaning media for unbiased surveys?

tHE SURVEY COULD HAVE BEEN BACKED BY cnn, abc, nbc, msnbc, dnc…it wouldn’t matter to the extremely educated intellectuals. Who did they partner with?

Fox Television Stations, Inc. are the local FOX affiliates here in VA, NOT FOX News. Big difference as there are different corporate parents.

Read CNN or the Washington Post on the citizen blogs and you will find **overwhelmingly** that people want the laws enforced and these people given their comeuppance. I usually don’t agree with Faux News either but in this case their numbers are right in line with that I see every day on even the most liberal news sites. These people and their enablers are going bye-bye.

I agree with the sentiments of the poll. However, I wonder about the “cognitive dissonance” of voters who are frustrated by the issue of illegals (not to mention things like spiraling property taxes), yet still re-elect problem politicians like Gerry Connolly. Now don’t get me wrong, I like Gary Baise, but he doesn’t have this overwhelming lead in the polls as far as I know (which would be the case if the voters who agreed with checking immigration status also voted for Baise/against Connolly).

I agree Isophorone. This is because the wealthier folks in Fairfax have not YET been subjected to all the shenanigans that illegals bring with them when they take over an area. Fairfax’s illegal-free days are quickly coming to an end though and you can be 100% sure that all those liberals will be singing a different tune then when illegals start to destroy their pristine neighborhoods and live 15 to a 600k house. Your good old buddy park’d will be right there with a megaphone calling them all hypocrites and losers on that day when they finally understand what we have been dealing with for 5 years now as they stood by and called us racists and xenophobes. I can’t wait for that day. I pray for that day.

I posted this elsewhere in another thread so I’ll make it available here. I had been thinking about how to help the county defend against legal challenges. I found out via channels that the county will accept donations which can be earmarked for legal challenges etc. Thought I would make it available. I don’t mind paying but more importantly it shows everyone that we support the county and rally behind the board..even for just a few dollars.

Monetary contributions should be sent to:

    Prince William County
    Director of Finance
    1 County Complex Court
    Woodbridge VA 22192

Checks should be made payable to “Prince William County” and should
clearly state that the donation is for legal expenditures and/or
enforcement expenditures related to illegal immigration. Cash donations
can be accepted, but we will need to provide the donor a receipt, which
necessitates the donor coming into the McCoart Building. So checks are
preferred. To this point, we have not had a business need to accept
credit card donations, so at least in the short term a check is the most
expedient method for us to deal with donations.

The Finance Department will track all donations/contributions, including
the donor’s name and address, and segregate the contributions in the
accounting records. Donations must be formally accepted by the BOCS at a
regular meeting. Obviously the frequency of BOCS action to accept
donations depends on the number and dollar volume of contributions.

Contact Steve Ferlotti at ext 7459 if you have any
    questions.

The poll seems pretty common sense and the results would be expected.

One nitpick, though. Manes Pierre is not a candidate of the Democratic Party.

Don’t forget about Joan DuBois, Gerry Connolly’s hand maiden, a true RINO. In Fairfax County, Dranesville District, there is absolutely no difference between DuBois and Foust. Both Gerry and Joan are apologist for illegal aliens. I would advocate a vote for “none of the above” or “Mickey Mouse.” Either would serve Dranesville District equally well.

Sounds great! I will be more than happy to provide my legal status and documentation if a cop asks for it. Equal application for all. Then nobody can cry about being “profiled”.

    dmg,

Why should the taxpayers send more money to the authorities to do the job they were supposed to do in the first place? Doesn’t your proposal reward inaction? Your post, though, is an inspiration for a better idea — How about letting the taxpayers “earmark” (for lack of a better term) how ALL of their tax dollars are spent?

    citizen of manassas,

I note that the Post story quoted advocacy organizations for immigration more than advocates for control/enforcement. The poll itself is quite interesting — it is a poll of “adults.” Not registered voters or likely voters. So the question becomes, does the feeling about control of or responding to illegal immigration run more intensely among likely voters (particularly in a lower-turnout election)?

The poll shows Democrats will lower feelings of intensity on the control of illegal immigration than Republicans. However, the numbers of Demcrats is still a significant number. If anything close to that number switches sides and votes Republican, or even chooses not to vote for many of the Democratic candidates, the Republicans may come out ahead. I have a feeling that the Republican candidates in western Fairfax would benefit the most.

    Then don’t contribute.

The county is facing staewide funding cutbacks. If the holdup is money then those who have funds can give extra based on their desire. In the end, it’s not about money..it’s about showing support. Imagine the message it sends that in spite of cutbacks citizens still are willing to send what they can to help out. And yes, tax money should have done the job in the first place. It didn’t get done.

Not sure I understand your comment, but I do think left or right it all boils down to the money -everyone is an opportunist when it comes to lining their pockets.

As I’ve said before, when Bush runs into Kerry, do you you suppose they think Democrat/Republican left(ish)/right or do they say YALIE!!!!

Do you think when Bush and Kerry see each other they think Dem/Rep or left/right. Nope they think YALIE$$$$$$$

I agree we should not have to donate to enforce our laws but at this point I believe a small donation would make loud statement to our elected officials.

What a statement it would make to our government on all levels if checks started rolling in to Prince William County from all over the country.

Manes must be invisible then because I followed your link: No Manes. I looked through the candidates. No Manes.

I was assured by the Dem chair that Manes had not received an endorsement from the Prince William Democratic Committee when I emailed him about Manes’ status with them.

Manes Pierre may say he is anything he likes. He knows where he stands with Democrats and Republicans in this county.

    One Voice,

The left likes to say they are the champion of the little guy and reject “Big” Oil, business etc. You said because corporations control the media it implies the media cannot be liberal.

If money is at the root of both the left and the right, how can the left say they are for the little guy? You not trying to imply the left is full of it, are you?
