Things like this got me thinking on how to help PW with legal funds etc. I don't mind giving the government money if it helps them defend legal challenges to support the new resolution. I got in touch with one of the supervisors and got the location to send money which is earmarked to help out. Spread the word and I may post this in another relevant discussion.

Monetary contributions should be sent to:

Prince William County
Director of Finance
1 County Complex Court
Woodbridge VA 22192

Checks should be made payable to "Prince William County" and should
clearly state that the donation is for legal expenditures and/or
enforcement expenditures related to illegal immigration. Cash donations
can be accepted, but we will need to provide the donor a receipt, which
necessitates the donor coming into the McCoart Building. So checks are
preferred. To this point, we have not had a business need to accept
credit card donations, so at least in the short term a check is the most
expedient method for us to deal with donations.

The Finance Department will track all donations/contributions, including
the donor's name and address, and segregate the contributions in the
accounting records. Donations must be formally accepted by the BOCS at a
regular meeting. Obviously the frequency of BOCS action to accept
donations depends on the number and dollar volume of contributions.

Contact Steve Ferlotti at ext 7459 if you have any
questions.

I think the Mexican Human Rights commission should get together with PWC'S Human Rights commission. They would have a lot to share.

We really need to take a page from history.

Nothing less will do!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Wetback

The operation began in California and Arizona and coordinated 1,075 Border Patrol agents along with state and local police agencies to mount an aggressive crackdown, going as far as police sweeps of Mexican-American neighborhoods and random stops and ID checks of "Mexican-looking" people in a region with many Native Americans and native Hispanics.[2] In some cases, illegal immigrants were deported along with their American-born children, who were by law U.S. citizens. The agents used a wide brush in their criteria for interrogating potential aliens. They adopted the practice of stopping "Mexican-looking" citizens on the street and asking for identification. 750 agents targeted agricultural areas with a goal of 1000 apprehensions a day. By the end of July, over 50,000 aliens were caught in the two states. Around 488,000 people fled the country for fear of being apprehended. By September, 80,000 had been taken into custody in Texas, and the INS estimates that 500,000-700,000 people had left Texas voluntarily. To discourage re-entry, buses and trains took many people deep within Mexico before being set free. Tens of thousands more were put aboard two hired ships, the Emancipation and the Mercurio. The ships ferried them from Port Isabel, Texas, to Veracruz, Mexico, more than 500 miles (900 kilometers) south

I am truly amazed at the caliber of some of your politicians in PWC…is it something in your water there? If so, please ship some it here in Virginia Beach! I wish I were a resident there so I could vote
for Stewart and O’Brien. You stalwart PWC residents who are fighting the reconquista remind of of Leonidas at Thermopylae…keep up the good work, you are winning and the rest of the Nation is taking notice!

You head in the Sand people go ahead and vote for Pandak and her sorts.

Corey will win as he has felt and seen the will of the people of our County. Not these groups that come from outside and picked up a few head in the sand followers.

If you truly are not a die hard Democrat and take the time to look at the facts. Look at what took place while Pandak was Attorney for the BOS. Look at all the money that was wasted on the Parson's suit. It was one court after another and us citizens that kept tabs on the BOS knew they were throwing away our money in following Pandak's advice. SHE DID NOT WORK FOR THE CITIZENS AND SHE NEVER WILL.

Well I am glad to hear Corey is a RINO, now he can join the rest of us who have been labeled RINO's for 4/5 years. All we want is services and laws that are good for our communities and for those we elect to put the citizens first. After all Citizens are at the top of the Chart in Government.

Dolph,

Bush has not been let off the hook. He'll probably go down in history as one of the worst presidents. He has done a wonderful job of alienating both Democrats and Republicans. The two big issues he has fallen on his face are the Iraq war and illegal immigration.

I think we could get a consensus on that.

All,

Illegal immigration is a big big big problem in my county and that is why I'm going to support candidates that will actually do something about it. I'm voting for Corey Stewart, John Stirrup, Jackson Miller and Bob Fitzsimmonds. I went to all the debates and I listened to each candidate.

I've also listened to both Chris Royse and Jay O'Brien and I do believe they will do something about illegal aliens. I like Jay O'Brien's idea of not letting illegal aliens get out on bail. We've had too many illegal aliens getting loose and then committing more heinous crimes. I can't vote for them because I'm not in their districts but I do support them.

I think with all we are doing at the local and state level and we are not the only ones, that will shame the Federal government into action. There is a good article in the Washington Times, dated October 30, 2007, page 3, entitled: "Tancredo Won't Stay in House". It addresses some of what we've been talking about. Believe me, Tancredo never let Bush off the hook and he is a Republican.

Dolph--I have to agree with you on this one.
The fish rots from the head down. Bush wants open borders and the NAU. That's why Ramos and Compean are still in jail. That's why the floodgates really opened in the past 6 years and we are being invaded by illegal aliens from the south. Bush is a RINO but we voted for him hoping he would be conservative. He's not. He's just like his father--incompetent. At least Jorge W. didn't vomit on a Japanese PM. That's a point in his favor.

In yet another stunning demonstration of the fact that Mexico is inhabited and governed by third-world banditos incapable of reasoned thought, Mexican officials threatened to take the United States to the United Nations. In other words, this corrupt bunch of third-world idiots is under the misguided notion that America has no sovereign rights or borders, and that our great nation should be open to every Mexican peasant that decides unilaterally to squat in America.
* Did the United States violate the sovereignty and borders of Mexico by encouraging 20 million illiterate American peasants to cross the border illegally?
* Did American illegal aliens feed at the public trough for health care, education, food, housing and other vital services to which they were not entitled, and which cost Mexican taxpayers hundreds of billions of pesos each year?
* Did American illegal aliens overwhelm Mexican hospitals, medical clinics, and emergency rooms and refuse to pay for medical services received?
* Did the impact of serving American illegal aliens force scores of medical facilities into bankruptcy, resulting in the loss of vital medical services for Mexican citizens?
* Did American illegal aliens who refused to pay for medical services manage to send $30 billion a year back to the United States?
* Did American illegal aliens refuse to learn Spanish, and demand that Mexico provide services in English at considerable cost to Mexican citizens?
* Did the children of American illegal aliens slow down and otherwise impede the education of Mexican children because of language and cultural issues?
* Did American illegal aliens demand driver's licenses despite being in Mexico illegally? Did they demand that driver instruction and testing materials be in English?
* Did American illegal aliens demand the same reduced tuition rates offered to Mexican students there legally?
* Did American illegal aliens vote in Mexican elections and alter election results?
* Did American illegal aliens overwhelm Mexico's penal system, making it impossible to deal with the citizen inmate population?
* Did the largest state in Mexico contract with another Mexican state for the housing and care of 15,000 inmates because of the impact of American illegal aliens?
* Did American illegal aliens engage in wholesale forgery of vital public documents and commit identity theft in order to secure employment, education, credit, and access to public services?
* Did American illegal aliens in Mexico in 1986 receive amnesty in an attempt by the Mexican government to end illegal migrations once and for all?
* Did the Mexican government refuse to enforce the provisions of the amnesty, thereby causing the American illegal alien problem to grow seven times greater in the span of 20 years?
* Did millions of American illegal aliens take to the streets to protest pending legislation in the Mexican congress that would tighten border security and enforce the nation's immigration laws?
* Did American illegal aliens wave Old Glory and scream "Yes we can!" and "We are Mexico!" in English as they marched to protest the rule of law in Mexico?
* Did American illegal aliens cry "Racism" every time they were criticized for being in Mexico illegally or challenged to learn Spanish and assimilate into Mexican society?
None of the above is correct, although each and every one would provide more than adequate justification for diplomatic, and perhaps military, action by the offended nation against the offender nation.
In fact, however, Mexican officials threatened to take the United States to the UN over the border fence legislation that was signed into law by President Bush this week. Go here: http://theconservativevoice.com/article/19034.html

Advocator,

I cannot disagree with you on that one. And I am assuming that was a rhetorical question. We both know the answer.

I just do not like seeing Bush let off the hook. Republicans are falling all over themselves to distance themselves from him. Actually I don't blame them, but that isn't the way it works. There will always be people out there with no stake in either party to remind....

I cannot disagree with you on that one. And I am assuming that was a rhetorical question. We both know the answer.

Dolph:

The entire government is at fault. I guess the hard question is: Whose fault is that?

If anything, the Mexican representatives should come to investigate the influx of Mexican gangs in the area and the ensuing spree of violent crimes. Maybe they can bring a big bus with them (thank you Andy Parks) to take some of the worst offenders back with them.

The federal government is being paid to NOT do anything. Each year over 50 billion dollars a year in unclaimed tax dollars are paid is paid to our federal government in payroll taxes that will never be claimed. Reminds me of the NY Mafia extortion tactics in the 1950's.

Call it lack of law enforcement if you'd like but we all know illegal immigration was caused by corruption.

Many who read BVBL worked hard to get a House and Senate GOP majorities, and what did we get in return, drunken spending, lawlessness, deceit on the war on terror and a failing war on drugs.

Advocator,

A little of each actually. Is it not ultimately the responsibility of the executive branch to enforce the laws? I just don't like Bush escaping any responsibility for the sad state of immigration enforcement. I certainly never want to cut Congress any breaks either.

All I hear people say is no new laws. Enforce the laws we have. I am simply asking whose job it is to enforce the laws.

Peace......you are why we have Ideologues in Republican politics.

Barker is a 2 time loser, tree-hugging liberal with no track record or experience in elected leadership. Nice guy, wouldn't mind having him as my neighbor, not my Senator. I hope you will rethink this by Nov. 6th.

As for Stewart...Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me---my vote goes to Sharon Pandak.

Dolph:

Don't know if you really need help or are just being facetious.

Have you ever heard of Congressional hearings? They're a pain in the ass for administration officials to go to and answer hard questions from legislators. And when they can't give good answers, they get bad press. Have you heard of any hearings on why we have 5000 illegal crossings a day? Nope. Have you heard of hearings on why our "borders" can be crossed with impunity by anyone, from anywhere, at anytime? Nope. Have you heard of any hearings questioning why a fence authorized by Congress is not up yet? Nope.

But you have heard of hearings on such earth-shattering issues as steroids in major league baseball, haven't you? Or why some thugs down in Louisianna are being prosecuted for crimes they committed, haven't you? Our legislators, except for Tom Tancredo, are ducking this issue. Too many of their benefactors want illegals here, and want to keep them a permanent underclass for their cheap labor. Consequently, guys like our own Frank Let's Help the Poor Children of Darfur Wolf avoid the issue and try to divert our attention from it.

Anonymoustoo.....you are preaching to the choir. Unfortunately the Republican political process in Prince William has been hijacked by ideologues who have learned how to manipulate the people and the process.

Election reform is overdue in the Commonwealth. We have G-d fearing conservatives who have unknowingly become victims of lies and deceit. Corey is just another RINO.
