Janet Oleszek: Immigration Issue “A Red Herring”

By Greg L | 31 October 2007 | Fairfax County, Virginia Senate | 6 Comments

You can’t make stuff like this up.  In an interview with Channel 9’s Peggy Fox, Janet Oleszek dismissed voter’s concerns that illegal aliens have harmed the quality of life and public safety in the 37th Senate District, and characterized the issue as “a red herring” designed to distract voters from other important issues, such as how taxes can be raised.

Ken Cuccinelli has a dramatically superior grasp of this problem.

Earth to Janet…Earth to Janet. Where are you in the universe? You seem to be on a diferent planet.

Check out my September entries concerning Janet Oleszek on immigration. Her synagogue talk was fascinating in this regard (partly by what she said, and partly by how she avoided the issue for such a long time). Even giving the police 287(g) authority creates a “slippery slope” (according to Janet) that “as a Jew” she finds scary. I am not making this up.

Then again, look at it this way: Tim Kaine and Gerry Connolly are making fake lip service to the issue. At least Janet is being honestly (and consistently) clueless! A foolish consistency that is the hobgoblin of a little mind, no doubt.

And Peggy Fox is related to the Horan Family through marraige, so she probably would have helped Janet out if Janet just knew HOW to help herself out….haha….Cooch’s margin widens.

She’s right. It’s a red herring. Get people talking about this instead of the abusive motorist fees.

Really? One could make a reasonable argument that illegal immigration affects more people than the abuser fees.
