ANON @ 9:59,
I know exactly which house you speak of the are car buffs. I don't think it's a business there, but it does look like one at times. The numbers of there does seemed to have decreased though.
redawn,
This is infact the Sr. Chavez we speak of that goes to the wrong houses. He was most definately at the right house this afternoon. Dolph and I both saw him. I know Dolph dug his pony tail. I really thought those shades were cool myself.
Vigilant1,
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Stay vigilant. I sure know I will.

Dolph,

Had to talk to Lafayette off line about it.

Lafayette,

Glad we got connected. It will be interesting to see what Sr. Chavez will do. I don't expect much from him. He has told some whoppers in the past. I figure if he comes back and says to you he is not allowed to go in the back yard, then we can call the officer.

Dolph,

I don't know why it's being questioned either. I just read Layfayette's post and it sounds like maybe Patty didn't read her earlier post. I know you both saw the pony tailed inspector over there...Patty, Layfayette...what is going on..is THIS the guy you talk about that goes to the WRONG houses, etc?

Patty,
I know about the call you made. Did you not read what I wrote. Sr. Chavez called me, and said they had a 4:30 DEADLINE, and he didn't call back. He told me with his own forked tongue that it would be GONE by 4:30, and that he would call and confirm the status of the "CM". I'm calling you now.

Anonymous,

I have noticed that 'garage.' My guess is that there is no business license.

The county is supposedly very strict about issuing business licenses in residential neighborhoods. I obviously do not know the regs but this is an area that really seems to need to be tightened up.

Dolph said on 21 Nov 2007 at 7:26 pm:
These people are running a business out of their home. They need a business license to do that and I don’t think the county would grant them one for a painting company in a residential neighborhood.

Well they wouldn/t be the first. I got a notice on a hearing because a neighbor wanted to get a variance on her home beauty salon and add an electrolysis center. I called the zoning board and asked them how long this business had been running in the neighborhood and that I was not aware of it. It came to my attention when I recieved a notice for a variance. They said everyone was notified when the first permit was requested) and the permit was granted. The variance was also granted. There is another home owner who appears to be running a car repair business as the side and back yard are full of cars being worked on etc etc. Maybe he has a legitimate business license to repair cars or he just likes to work on them. Some day when you drive down Sudley Manor Dr. (particularly on the weekend) and stop at the 3 way stop and take the right turn onto Strasburg St., take a look at the corner house on the left hand side of the street . Sure looks like a business! Would like another opinion.

es-la-ley 7:53 - If you are at all interested in the NRA you must have heard of Wayne LaPierre. I'm amazed that you haven't. Anyway, I never thought I'd do a long item, but since you seem to want info the easy way, here goes:

Wayne LaPierre, Jr. - Biography (I'll call him Jr)

Jr is the Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Rifle Association of America. In his leadership position, Jr conducts the affairs of an over 3,5 million member association through a staff of over 550 employees with an annual budget of over $120 million.

Under the direction of a 76 member board of directors, he is responsible for implementing NRA policy as well as serving as president of the National Firearms Museum Fund and trustee of the NRA Foundation. An avid sport shooter, he holds an executive position with the North American Wetlands Conservation Council, the world's largest wildlife program, and officiates each year at NRA events nationwide.

Jr joined the staff in 1978, as a state liaison in the NRA Institute for Legislative Action, the lobbying arm of the Assn. Initially responsible for a 10-state region, he was promoted twice in two years and named Director of State & Local Affairs in l979. The next year he accepted a position as the Director of Federal Affairs, where he was responsible for the planning and execution of all NRA initiatives before Congress and the executive branch.

In 1986 Jr was again promoted to Executive Director of NRA-ILA. It was in this position that he took to the forefront as the leader and spokesperson for all NRA legislative activities at every level of government.

Jr serves on the board of directors of the Am. Assn of Political Consultants. He holds a master's degree in American government and politics from Boston College and a bachelor's degree in education and political science from Siena College in New York.

After accepting his current position in 1991, Jr became the chief national spokesperson for the NRA which, under his leadership, has achieved the most dramatic growth in membership since NRA was founded in 1871.

It boggles my mind that you haven't heard of him.

"es-la-ley 6:10 - You can find plenty to read about Wayne LePierre at Wikipedia. No need for me to reiterate. "

Wikipedia!? Good God man! You trust that as an accurate source!? ANYONE can put ANYTHING on that site. Hopefully you don't judge anyone else by their entry on Wikipedia!

"Evidently you were not curious enough to look it up
yourself."

Nice try.

I had no curiosity about him until *you* brought it up. As I said, I know nothing about the man. Offering Wikipedia as your justification for calling someone a 'nutcase' makes you just another moonbat who seeks justification for your own preconceived beliefs. I'm done with you.

I think the county needs to take care of this. I am for not letting PWC off the hook. Enforce its own codes and ordinances.

Update on "Coke Machine"***
I'm pretty pissed right now, that damn "CM" is still on the property at the side of the house just behind the fence. I will take new picture in the daylight. I will forward the picture to my Supervisor, Neighborhood Services, and several other places when business resumes for the county. I should've known it was to good to be true.
Dolph,
I hope the "new pet owners" are informed of the "leash law" for
PWC.

Lafayette,

Can people purchase these machines? If not, maybe contacting the local Coca Cola distributor may do some good. Just a idea?
