AWCheney,

I posted as Protect Rights for that very reason...I fear that some just over look the poster......thought I would try another approach.

( the definition of insanity: doing the same things OVER and OVER again and expecting different results) :) Happy Thanksgiving :)

Patryot, your "questions" have been answered numerous times on numerous threads...by me and many others. It is the reading comprehension filter of you and your fellow apologists that keeps you making the same comments, with minor variations, over and over again. It's all in the archives (note to Protect Rights...thanks for repeating some of them).

Insofar as legal immigrants are concerned, they absolutely have not only every right to be here, but every right accorded other citizens of this country once they achieve that citizenship, including the right to vote. I happen to be one of those naturalized citizens myself.

As far as your suggestion regarding my analogous use of the Revolutionary war is concerned, it was not related to this situation (illegal aliens)...it was related to your absurd remark that "if you don't like it, move (paraphrased)." I guess the Founding Fathers and the other patriots could have headed west, huh? I happen to have an excellent grasp of American history, and have participated in some minor aspects of it, as a matter of fact...and I was actually equating you to a Tory.

Patryot,

I posted a few specifics over under the gun ban thread. I do not necessarily disagree with you about some of the issues being political ploys in the last election. However, I do feel that our area has been seriously impacted by unrestrained illegal immigration.

I am taking a wait and see approach to the resolution. I am going to be very careful not to assign cause/effect relationships where none exist.

Reasons Illegal Immigration have diminished the quality of life.

1. The Federal Government has not done anything about this issue and are creating the tension and outrage amongst people, especially the ones who came in through the front door.
2. The identity fraud and theft.
3. The murders and drunk driving.
4. The increased gang activity and drugs.
5. The drive down of our economy with cheap labor.
6. The non assimilation through out the living community.
7. The use of medicad and WIC for the children born of illegal parents.
8.The overcrowding of our schools due to overcrowding of homes
9.The entry of unknown terrorist cells coming across the open borders.
10. The lack of paying into the federal government by means of federal, state and social security.
11.The disease that are brought to our soil that are going unchecked, untreated.

Just to name a few.

No one has yet to point out how ILLEGAL immigrants have diminished the quality of life of anyone. Let's hear it. Be specific. Tell me how in your personal life ILLEGAL immigration has diminished your quality of life. You have no ideas. Month and after month, complaint after complaint, but no realistic solutions. This website is simply an opportunity for you to vent your frustration and, in some cases, present a platform for the Republican party in our community. It has nothing to do with community pride or true concern about the community. You are being used to achieve the political ambitions of Jackson Miller, Corey Stewart, et al. I have not seen anyone who has anything original to say or creative to discuss. Just more of the same while you deride those who disagree with you. As far as history goes, as I recall, we were the immigrants. Your analogy, cheney, would suggest that immigrants, legal immigrants, have every right to try to change the government to suit their ideals. And the whole notion that it is noble not to "back down" when there are other viable solutions is just what we need! Always look for the fight and never consider that there could be another way to solve a problem. This isn't about your rights being usurped. This isn't about anything being taken away from you which has always served, until recently, as the force behind our going forward with war or confrontation. To equate this situation with the Revolutionary war is naive and obviously not drawn about a good understanding of history. This is more akin to the Civil War. If you liked the Civil War, you will love this one.

Oh, for crying out loud. Quit complaining and move. You can find lily-white, all English speaking communities all over the country.

Gee, I had no idea that it was the American way to cut and run when you see something wrong in your community and your own rights are threatened by people who do not belong here (illegals). Those Founding Fathers must have been a bunch of idiots just like the rest of us, right patryot? If they didn't like the way Great Britain was treating them, they should have gone somewhere else! Has your family been here for enough generations to have Tory in your background?

I really believe that one of the most attractive aspects of the American character has always been an unwillingness to back down from a fight when principle is involved, even when it would be easy to do so. I suppose the easy life this country has to offer (earned in blood, sweat and tears by the millions that preceded us), and is SO attractive to these illegal aliens who seem to believe that it should be handed to them and not earned, has taken some of the starch out of current generations.

"Most of you are probably not native to the area and have ties elsewhere."

Actually patryot, I'm surprised that you haven't noticed that most of the commenters here who are opposing the illegal alien invasion are, in fact, either natives or have been here long enough to be practically natives. As an example, although Lafayette was born here and I was not, I've been here longer than she has. :-)

You really should get your glasses checked patryot, or at least adjust your selective reading comprehension filter, because I can't count how many times it has been pointed out that THIS IS ABOUT ILLEGAL ALIENS, NOT IMMIGRANTS. I've lived in this county for 46 years and, as far as I could tell, it has always been welcoming to IMMIGRANTS. It's people like you, Nancy Lyall, John Steinbach and MSF that have stirred up the hate to the extent that our legal immigrants are feeling threatened...that one's all on you folks. One day perhaps those immigrants will properly thank you for what you all put them through.

Patryot,
I will not tell you my personal stories. My question to YOU is have you been reading the posts for months by many concerned legal citizens? If you haven't I suggest you go back and read some of the stories by the regular "non-pot stirring" posters.
Yes, I have been reading some of the lame stories and letters to the editor.
I pitty you and your kind.

"...Residents will be able to obtain the resident cards by presenting photo identification and proof they live in the city, such as a utility bill. It was unclear if the new cards, which will be accepted at libraries and health clinics, will carry photos.

Such a move had been expected from San Francisco, which is famously liberal. Earlier this year, Mayor Gavin Newsom said he would not allow city officials and employees to assist immigration raids by federal authorities seeking up people who had committed crimes or disregarded deportation orders.

San Francisco, which declared itself a "sanctuary city" in 1989, also this year launched a program to provide medical care to uninsured residents regardless of their immigration status..."

Patryot,

I know a house you can rent and then you can see for yourself how the quality of life has deteriorated. Of course, you only want to see your side of it and hate us because you don't want to walk in our shoes. Maybe your hate for us keeps you from experiencing the problems we have. The only hate I see is from your comments.

Oh, please. Don't be condescending. You must not be reading the posts on the website or reading the letters to the newspaper. The hatred is palpable. The overt reason for the reaction to the immigrant community is wanting a better life for yourself. Is the quality of your life honestly affected by the illegal immigrants in the community? I would be interested in knowing how you personally have had your quality of life reduced by the illegal immigrants. I've heard the talking points, ad nauseum. Just your own personal experiences.

BTW- I have lived here all of my life too. I'm sorry you've had to see so much hatred. I haven't. I don't consider wanting a better quality of life and legal residents(are welcome here) living amongst us hatred. I guess you have a lot of hatred in your heart.

Witch: You are the one complaining and so full of angst. I've lived here all of my life and have not seen such hatred since integration and the civil rights movement. If you think your problems all stem from less than 1% of the population, then you have a real problem.

Don't YOU get it? The Federal Government has done absolutely
NOTHING. Therefore, it is up to the states and local governments to take some action.
You are free to move yourself. You can start with moving on from here. You only like to "stir the pot". Get lost and stay lost!

Oh, for crying out loud. Quit complaining and move. You can find lily-white, all English speaking communities all over the country. You will have your "quality of life", no Mexicans, lots of Wal-Marts and guns galore. Just leave. We can take care of our community without you. Most of you are probably not native to the area and have ties elsewhere. Go back to where you came from. The constant complaining is completely unproductive and serves only the bring out the worst in all of you. Don't you get it????? The only entity can address this issue with any real authority is the federal government. Amazing how you all ignore that fact and hang onto pipe dreams. Maybe you should raid the churches with Jackson Miller. You know the churches are actually feeding people and giving clothing to the needy and, omigod, some of those folks might be illegals.

Advocator @ 1:10
Before you begin enlisting volunteers to help string wire, I
would strongly suggest you get yourself a good topographical
map...you just might change your mind once you see the map.
The land around the river is not flat, there are no roads, no
water holes in the desert areas and there are all sorts of
poisonous snakes as well as other dangerous animals, the likes
of which you've never seen!
Suppose you and your volunteers make it to the river's edge,
your ass would be shot by the farmers who own the land, yes..
they own it right to the river's edge. You would be trespassing
and they don't like trespassers. You wouldn't make it that far
because the feds would stop you in your tracks or the drug
smugglers because you would be interfering with their business.
You see, Advocate, the farmers down there don't want any kind
of fence built on their land (and they do own the land). Nobody
knows where the border starts or ends, so you must realize
how futile your dream of erecting a wire fence really is. I hope
you were just kidding.

/\/\3|)iç 64,

Lou Dobbs talks about it ( from numerous videos I have found)
What do you suggest as in getting this out? I just found out about it about a month or 2 ago....

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=53378

From 2005:
http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1215/is_2_206/ai_n13659239

From an article dated 5/22/2006
http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=15017

Following the March 2005 meeting in Waco, Tex., the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) published in May 2005 a task force report titled “Building a North American Community.” We have already documented that this CFR task force report calls for a plan to create by 2010 a redefinition of boundaries such that the primary immigration control will be around the three countries of the North American Union, not between the three countries. We have argued that a likely reason President Bush has not secured our border with Mexico is that the administration is pushing for the establishment of the North American Union.

My thoughts are solidified. I had no idea, it just made sense when I found this NAU information that the lack of concern to build a fence or secure the southern border was because of this. I guess it is just common sense. We have to find a way to get real information and push it to the rest of America. Obviously the mainstream media is not going to cover this.
