I can't attest to the truthfulness of this so just take it at face value.

Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!
Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.
Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.
Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.
Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.
Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.
Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.
Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.
Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

Bill Gates wants talent from overseas because it's cheaper. You'd think he'd use his foundation with its multi-billions to fund a school to train US talent but no, he wants more immigration so he can drive down salaries.

What are you talking about? Ireland participates in the Visa Waiver Program so your relatives from Ireland, assuming they have a machine-readable passport, simply need to fill out a form I-94W and present it along with evidence that they are not staying permanently in the USA (a return plane ticket suffices for this).

The I-94W form can be seen here for those who would like to see how "daunting" it is:

http://www.immihelp.com/visas/i-94w.html

The government estimates that it takes 2 minutes to understand the form and 4 minutes to complete it. Daunting, indeed.

Bill Gates has to open an office in Canada in order to get the talent he desires from around the world?

I agree wholeheartedly that the government has screwed up much of what it does and doesn't appear it will fix it's problems in the near future. Ever wonder why Gates opened an office in Canada? He sees no talent in U.S. workers?
He is one of the causes of the problem. He made a statement just a short while back that the U.S. should remove all repeat all visa quotas for workers. What does that tell you? He is looking for nothing but cheap labor to staff his business. Try calling the Microsoft service desk and see where you end up. You probably will talk to "Patrick" in India. The whole government is broken and there is no one to fix it. Maybe that is another job that Americans won't do!

First of all, I'm Irish and we have relatives in Ireland that would just like to VISIT but the paperwork since 9/11 is so daunting that they won't. Is this a good thing?

I don't mean to play devil's advocate but when you hear of someone from Ireland violating immigration law doesn't it make you wonder why? Don't you wonder why Bill Gates has to open an office in Canada in order to get the talent he desires from around the world? Why, when you think of all the federal government foul-ups don't you consider they have also fouled-up the immigration entry process? Try this quick exercise. Name 5 things the feds have screwed up? Now, name 5 things the feds have done well? Which of these two lists was easier to come up with? I challenge anyone to come up with a longer list for the 'done well' scenario. My point being, simply, why is it assumed that one of the things the feds have done right is their handling of the immigration entry process?

Let the Mexican gov't publicize their "migrants" sucess stories and if they are illegal it give ICE the name and city and state where to go find them and deport their butts, after they are locked up for awhile.

A cousin of mine had a sometimes boyfriend from Ireland who was illegal, someone dropped a dime on him and he got deported 5 years ago. He came back a year later and got deported again and told not to come back or he wouldn't like what happened to him. He came back again through Canada and was caught at the border. ICE put him in a detention camp in Albany NY for over a year before they allowed him to contact anyone to let his relatives know that he was still around. So it's just not hispanics getting rounded up. You break the laws you do the time.

Well it seems the North American Union is getting some pressure from the other side.

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=54859

I am proud to see VA is on this list:

Lawmakers in Idaho have approved a "joint memorial" that urges the U.S. Congress to use "all efforts, energies and diligence" to get the United States out of the Security and Prosperity Partnership, a multinational plan that opponents believe is being used to blend the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

As WND has reported previously, many other state legislatures have resolutions pending that condemn the idea of a "North American Union," but Idaho's is the first to pass such a measure.

Officials report that Idaho was one of 14 state legislatures where such resolutions have been introduced to oppose the SPP and North American Union. Only Idaho has completed the approval process, and in one other state, Utah, the Senate failed to vote on that state's encouragement to have the U.S. withdraw from the SPP.

Other states where proposals are pending are Arizona (S.C.M. 1002), Illinois (H.J.R. 29), Georgia (S.R. 124), Missouri (S.C.R. 15 and H.C.R. 33), Montana (H.J.R. 25), Oklahoma (S.C.R. 10), Oregon (S.J.M. 5), South Carolina (S. 416 and H. 3185), South Dakota (S.C.R. 7), Tennessee (S.J.R. 88), Virginia (S.J.R. 442 and S.J.R. 387), and Washington (H.J.M. 4018 and S.J.M. 8004).

The Idaho plan noted that "actions taken by the SPP to coordinate border security by eliminating obstacles to migration between Mexico and United States actually makes the United States-Mexico border less secure and more vulnerable to possible terrorist activities, and Mexico is the primary source of illegal immigrants, illegal drug entry and illegal human smuggling into the United States."

I hope our legislature keeps the pressure on. We need to have someone with power investigate the treason Casa is supporting!!!!!!!

Only Idaho has completed the approval process, and in one other state, Utah, the Senate failed to vote on that state’s encouragement to have the U.S. withdraw from the SPP.

Other states where proposals are pending are Arizona (S.C.M. 1002), Illinois (H.J.R. 29), Georgia (S.R. 124), Missouri (S.C.R. 15 and H.C.R. 33), Montana (H.J.R. 25), Oklahoma (S.C.R. 10), Oregon (S.J.M. 5), South Carolina (S. 416 and H. 3185), South Dakota (S.C.R. 7), Tennessee (S.J.R. 88), Virginia (S.J.R. 442 and S.J.R. 387), and Washington (H.J.M. 4018 and S.J.M. 8004).

The Idaho plan noted that “actions taken by the SPP to coordinate border security by eliminating obstacles to migration between Mexico and United States actually makes the United States-Mexico border less secure and more vulnerable to possible terrorist activities, and Mexico is the primary source of illegal immigrants, illegal drug entry and illegal human smuggling into the United States.”

I hope our legislature keeps the pressure on. We need to have someone with power investigate the treason Casa is supporting!!!!!!!

Some Maryland people have organized and started help save maryland. They are the ones that brought this to everyones attention. They are trying to get something done about all of this, but the politicians aren't listening, yet.

I wish more people would understand what these pro-illegal groups are really about. They DO want to change the landscape of America. Like Greg said they are promoting revolution and socialism, here in OUR own country.

Thank you Greg for posting this. I hope people are reading.

Casa De Maryland receives over 4 million dollars from the state of Maryland. Casa has lawyers who advise and defend illegals in court. I don't know if Casa receives any monies from the federal government. I'm sure they have found a way. If Casa went to this meeting that money came from Maryland taxpayers.Fair and USA should challenge these organizations. If this Commission come to PWC it will be with taxpayers money. Under the FOI would it be possible to find out who invited them here, A copy of the letterwould be nice.

Treasonous organizations like Casa flourish in one-party states like Maryland. Maryland is more of a workers paradise than even Arlington and Fairfax County.
Maryland is a corrupt, Democrat state. Even the less socialist regions in Mid-Maryland and western Maryland are being infested with Montgomery County leftists who are looking for a better quality of life and lower housing prices.

I say organizations like Casa are illegal. There needs to be a challenge in court.
