Iceland had socialized medicine of the type and scale that many Democrats want to impose on our society and a social welfare system no person on this thread would wish on their worst enemy. Iceland had income taxes approaching 40-50%, very little economic growth, and very few jobs. The society was pretty much stagnant, but the population growth was unusual. A significant (20-40%?) number of babies were born to young mothers with no dads. (Icelandic girls, blonde, red headed, so race is not an issue here you can say is the fault of ANY ethnic group). Every girl in Iceland past the age of 18 knew there were limited jobs, and the best way to get rich was to have at least 5 babies from different fathers, so the monthly support check from the government would equal a college graduate's salary. This was enough for a small apartment and typical low-mid income family wages. Girls would leave 2-3 babies on the street in carriages in 20-30 degree weather, while they had a beer with girlfriends, it was so common and so much an accepted part of the culture. Interestingly the young men were blamed for "making" the babies, and the young mothers were "pitied and supported". The society never held the girls accountable. The young women got alimony and palimony rights to a percentage of the boys paychecks, even if they had another family later in life affected by their lower income potential. Since the mother's did not work (by choice), they knew the alimony and palimony would be higher if they remained unemployed. The young boys had no rights to raise any of these kids, even if they had the more stable home and higher salary. The social system created by this phenomena of socialized medicine and socialized parental support system for young girls, created a support culture that never worked or made the overall society any richer, more competitive or smarter. There was negative growth in the overall productivity of the country for years and everything was incredibly expensive, just like in Russia, because their was no incentive to work and produce and create profitable competitive businesses, since everything these young women needed in life was free for the taking if you knew how to use the social system to your advantage. This situation has not become that extreme here in our country yet, but we are headed down that path with "Hillary", as our current "social" leaders, rather than "technical" leaders are of the same "gender" and political bent as the "social" leaders in Iceland that created their problem. With all the politicians who oppose....or at least, claim to oppose illegal entry to this country...there are sooooo few that speak out about an orchestrated plan such as the NAU. Have we, as American citizens, become so completely controlled by and trusting of our government that we could be led into giving up our country like a herd of sheep? If true, this is absolutely outrageous. I have long held, however, that the never-ending thirst for political correctness in this country would be our ruination. That is particularly worrisome in combination with punishments for what we say or even THINK about things. We've even seen it here on BVBL...those who oppose, illegal entry to this country or those who opposed Faisal Gill in the HOD are quickly called "racists." It's almost like, if their skin is of a different color, acquiesce and give 'em what they want or you're a racist. This is very troubling to me -- perhaps we ARE "...like a herd of sheep." :( :( Yes, Vigilant1, I’ve seen his video too….but if not the ONLY one, he’s ALMOST the only one who’s talking about it.
