Gang-Banger Arrested; Good News: PWC Got Him

By Greg L | 14 December 2007 | Illegal Aliens, Crime | 12 Comments

Prince William County Police arrested four alleged gang members this week on Minnieville Road, one of which had a pretty impressive collection of weapons on his person when he was arrested, according to the Potomac News:

Police saw a group of men hanging out in a parking lot at 13215 Minnieville Road and saw one pull a handgun from his waistband and later point the handgun “in the direction of a person,” according to a criminal complaint on file at the Prince William County Circuit Court.

Raul Enrique Polomo, 20, of 6455 Osprey Court in Dale City, was charged with three counts of possession of a concealed weapon - a gun, knife and brass knuckles, police said. He was held in lieu of a $5,000 bond.

What are the chances that after this individual gets processed through the Adult Detention Center, we find out that an immigration detainer has been placed on him?  Now if this person had been arrested before the Section 287(g) Program was in place, these charges would not have warranted the notification of Immigration and Customs Enforcement if such a person was determined to be an illegal alien, and the only way jail personnel would have known that such a person was an illegal alien would be if he was previously deported under the name he gave when arrested or the person volunteered the information.

With the 287(g) Program, Prince William County jail personnel can conduct an investigation to determine this suspect’s legal status, and begin to process this individual for deportation of he is in fact an illegal alien.  If this person is an illegal alien, our new procedures at the ADC mean he won’t be released back into our community to start walking around with three concealed weapons again at the end of his sentence.  Had this individual been arrested by the state police, however, this screening wouldn’t have happened unless they decided to drop this alleged criminal off at our county ADC.

Meanwhile, Brian Moran and Governor Kaine refuse to implement this of program at the state level.  How many folks such as this who were criminal illegal aliens have been released back into our communities at the end of their sentences?  It’s certainly thousands.  Our local elected officials have taken the sensible step to do what they can to make sure that dangerous criminal illegal aliens are removed from our communities.  The Governor meanwhile chooses to do nothing.  While he is eager to spend additional millions of taxpayer dollars on new and expanded social welfare programs, he thinks this effort to ensure that criminal illegal aliens is too costly.

What a schmuck.  Maybe we should have the state police drop these folks who might otherwise have been deported off in Governor Kaine’s neighborhood after they complete their sentences.  If he likes these guys so much, maybe he can live next to them for a change. We’re tired of it.

Right! This is what I am talking about. For you RIDICULOUS liberals/illegal alien supporters that think its okay to have “bunk houses” you are totally WRONG! Those “bunk houses” house these types of individuals. So once quiet neighborhoods now have undocumented people coming and going (that could be concealing weapons)! That is how the Wild West used to be…right? We don’t need this in our communities! We must stop this. All residents must be accounted for.

Come on Krusty, let’s have your take on this subject. I’m sure you are for releasing them back on the streets (to do the jobs Americans won’t do!)

“Summary of Federal Immigration and Nationality Act Section 8 USC 1324″

State and local law enforcement officials have the general power to investigate and arrest violators of federal immigration statutes without prior INS knowledge or approval, as long as they are authorized to do so by state law. There is no extant federal limitation on this authority. The 1996 immigration control legislation passed by Congress was intended to encourage states and local agencies to participate in the process of enforcing federal immigration laws. Immigration officers and local law enforcement officers may detain an individual for a brief warrantless interrogation where circumstances create a reasonable suspicion that the individual is illegally present in the U.S. Specific facts constituting a reasonable suspicion include evasive, nervous, or erratic behavior; dress or speech indicating foreign citizenship; and presence in an area known to contain a concentration of illegal aliens. Hispanic appearance alone is not sufficient. Immigration officers and police must have a valid warrant or valid employer’s consent to enter workplaces or residences. Any vehicle used to transport or harbor illegal aliens, or used as a substantial part of an activity that encourages illegal aliens to come to or reside in the U.S. may be seized by an immigration officer and is subject to forfeiture. The forfeiture power covers any conveyances used within the U.S.

…and their network of support and safe houses is nationwide. They commit a crime in one area and run to another to hide. The mobile fingerprint technology is available. We need to have one in every law enforcement vehicle and office. We are running the gangs into the ground as we speak. Send them to prison, then deport them. Let them terrorize their own countries.

There really isn’t a need for sending them to prison if we implement the S.T.A.R.F.A.G. program. Imagine all of the money we would save.

I probably shouldn’t point out something so obvious…but that is, quite simply, the WORST acronym EVER.

    Right you are, Johnson.

    http://www.vdare.com/letters/tl_121307.htm

Going back a few years, when my youngest child was in middle school, I volunteered as a tutor for a reading program. I was assigned to one 7th grade boy who was from El Salvador. We would get together once a week for an hour.

He was a handfull, and not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree, but a sweet kid overall.

Halfway through the 7th grade, his mom, whom I had never met or spoken with before, came to my home. To ask, out of the blue, if I would “lend” her eight hundred dollars to send “back home” because her daughter needed an operation of some sort.

I said no, and was told that I would not be “allowed” to tutor her son unless I helped his sister. Of course, she balked at the idea of going to an aid organization for help…as she might have had to actually verify her claim of an ill daughter in El Salvador. Her son had clued me in to her having a drinking and gambling problem.

He soon dropped out of the tutoring program, and within a year was caught using a school bathroom to hand out drug samples.

Not selling drugs, mind you, just handing out little samples to his fellow middle school students. His initial claim was that his “uncle” had given him this assignment. But there was no uncle, just a gang recruitment officer of sorts.

The gangs target kids to hand out drug samples. If a kid comes back for additional free samples, the bathroom lookout directs them to the “uncle” for a fix. Needless to say, they target latino kids.

I have no idea what became of that boy. He and his family are long gone from my neighborhood. By my estimation, he would now be about 17 years old.

I would hate to venture a guess Bridget, but in light of what you said, probably a hard life involving drugs. We can only hope a “Big Brother” or some other positive role model was able to step in before it got to that point.

Bridget-Poor kid. Thank you for your efforts in volunteering your time. Had he not been hampered by his trashy criminal family, he could have had a shot at the American Dream. Let’s hope (and dare I say it-pray?) that he finds his way. We left PWC for York County, VA in 2004 so that our kids wouldn’t be offered “samples” in the school bathroom. So far, it’s working. No gangs in York, not much dope. I still have family in Manassas, so I stay informed. I hope everybody up there stays involved in the illegal alien crisis and works to return that area to the quiet, safe little town that it was 15 years ago. I will continue to do my part for Virginia (I’m a native) and the rest of the U.S.

It’s too bad they didn’t charge him with brandishing instead of possessing a concealed weapon. I’d rather see an illegal deported because he was arrested for a constitutional charge.

To 64 (That BVBL 40k post award still cracks me up)

I do indeed hope and pray that my little reading buddy has moved on to better days and well away from those who would do him harm. It pains me to think otherwise.

    To Johnson,

I, too, remember Manassas as the town you recall 15 years ago. Living on the border of Arlington and Fairfax, Manassas used to be a welcomed day in the country for us “townies”! From my perch I have seen many a resident alien move in and then emigrate out to exerbia. All that I witnessed decades ago I knew would hit the fan sooner or later. Housing code violations, trash in the parks and streets, men gathering on street corners, blasting car horns and stereos, gangs etc …

I have family up and down the east coast, as well as Texas, California and well into Ohio. The illegal alien crisis is upon all - in one form or another.

Attempts will be made to shove the toothpaste back in the tube, but too many are now resolute in wanting this massive dysfunction cured. Stay strong.

Thank you both for your kind and thoughtful words, and may Christmas bring you and yours comfort and joy.
