Mukit Hossain Is Coming To Town
By Greg L | 16 December 2007 | Loudoun County, Illegal Aliens, Prince William County | 25 Comments
Today’s edition of the Washington Post has an interesting article about how growth and development issues upstaged immigration as an issue and lead the the defeat of a number of candidates who spoke frequently about the need to crack down on illegal aliens in Loudoun County. Their analysis is pretty solid, and points out that candidates can’t run on the immigration issue alone, but have to advocate a wide range of policies that form a consistent whole in order to be successful. What’s most fascinating is how the article ends, with a heads-up to Prince William County residents that Mukit Hossain is coming to town to join the illegal alien lobby’s fight in Prince William, now that he thinks the battle is over in Loudoun:
For at least one activist who has opposed the measures, the battle is over.
Mukit Hossain, who has been a vocal opponent of anti-illegal immigrant measures in the region, said he plans to move from Sterling to somewhere in Prince William to take his activism there.
“I think the impact of [Loudoun’s policies] will be greatly diminished now,” he said. “It’s time to move the fight to Prince William.”
Mukit Hossain is best known as the spokesman for the Virginia Muslim-American Political Action Committee, and is a co-founder of Reston Interfaith which helped push for and operate the Herndon day laborer center in order to match those who cannot legally work in the United States with those employers who may not legally hire them. VMPAC also helped Mexicans Without Borders in Prince William with a voter registration drive during their protest this summer and testified in support of Mexicans Without Borders before the Prince William Human Rights Commission. For those of us who have been closely engaged in this fight, Hossain is a familiar face, but to most county residents is largely unknown.
Hossain has been an active member of the Muslim-American Society, which Militant Islam Monitor has been keeping tabs on for quite some time:
Hossain is also active in MAS, the Muslim American Society, the group which is in the forefront of campaiging for the release of jailed presidental assassin wannabe Omar Abu Ali. MAS also lauded Hossain as a “supporter” of their organisation which is directly linked to ICNA and by extension Al Qaeda. The trustee of MAS’s Islamic American University is Sheik Yusuf Qaradawi who proclaimed that Muslim women have an Islamic duty to become suicide bombers . http://www.militantislammonitor.org/article/id/216
Perhaps most outrageous of all is that the FAITH ‘charity’ -Foundation for Appropriate and Temporary Immediate Help” which Hossain is being lauded for which helps illegal migrants get around American law and enables him to expose them to Islam, is registered at 500 Grove Street an address which was raided by law enforcement because “it housed more then 100 interlocking Muslim organisations… which gave material aid to terrorists”
Besides Hossain and FAITH’s activities in recruiting illegal migrant converts to Islam, one must also conclude that the potential for these people to become terrorist operatives is just as likely. As a recent newspaper article correctly pointed out:
“…Hossain and the other Muslims working with Project Hope and Harmony have been accused of trying to justify illegal immigration, but their commitment to the issue has remained strong…” http://www.masnet.org/takeaction.asp?id=2072
Wachovia Bank reportedly froze their accounts for FAITH out of a concern that suspicious activity in the accounts was indicative of money laundering. The connections between this organization and a familiar list of individuals and organizations that support terrorism include convicted terrorist Sami Al-Arian:
The Foundation for Appropriate and Immediate Temporary Help, or FAITH, received a $150,000 donation last year from a front group run by Saudi bagman M. Yacub Mirza, whose home and offices were raided by federal agents after 9/11. FAITH helped establish the Project Hope and Harmony.
Mirza, a native of al-Qaida hotbed Karachi, Pakistan, is said to act on behalf of Saudi millionaire and al-Qaida financier Yassin al-Qadi. He lives in Herndon in a two-story house on a wooded lot on a private drive (known as a “pipe stem”) off a cul-de-sac called Safa Court in a small, secluded subdivision. His neighbors include fellow Islamists Jamal Barzinji and Taha Jaber al-Alwani. Federal law enforcement documents describe Barzinji as “not only closely associated with PIJ [Palestinian Islamic Jihad], but also with Hamas,” both officially designated terrorist groups. He’s also closely associated with convicted terrorist Abdurahman Alamoudi, one of al-Qaida’s top fund-raisers in the U.S.
The other neighbor, al-Alwani, is an alleged unindicted co-conspirator in the Sami al-Arian terror case. He allegedly gave at least $50,000 in jihad money to convicted terrorist al-Arian’s PIJ front group in Florida. Court records say the money was sent to al-Arian “to support suicide bombings.”
Mukit Hossain has also been actively defending the interests of the Sudanese government against attempts to pressure them into not actively encouraging the ethnically-based slaughter of hundreds of thousands of their own citizens. For illegal aliens in the United States, Hossain calls for compassion and tolerance, but for ethnic minorities in Sudan, it’s a good idea to let ethnic cleaning run it’s horrific course. It’s bad to want to discourage illegal aliens from unlawfully residing in our communities, but it’s apparently acceptable to support Islamic Jihad and Hamas which engage in the murder of innocent civilians as a cornerstone of their political “engagement”.
So now, fresh of what Hossain perceives as a “victory” in Loudoun County, Mukit Hossain is telling the media that he intends to relocate to Prince William and will try to advocate for policies that would reward illegal aliens for the consequences of their unlawful behavior. He ought to fit right in with our local affiliate of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation, the organization known as Mexicans Without Borders.

In their rush to bash and highlight a supposed defeat by those that are against illegals, the COMPOST made the same silly mistake the MJM makes all the time, they simply did not think five minutes ahead and instead jumped the issue. Slow growth is in fact a tool to use against illegal aliens. A slow down in approving new development will mean less construction jobs, less service jobs, less affordable housing. Guess who will be affected the most? Illegals.
Greg L - Since you’ve read the Post today, what do you think about the two articles about immigration and PWC, and the Youtube people? I found the Chinese woman’s article quite thought provoking.
CitizenofManassas: My thoughts exactly. Growth and illegal immigration are linked. With slower growth, the hope is that these illegals will self-deport.
Monticup,
Yup. So, while the Dems in Loudoun may have put the illegal immigration issue to bed, they are playing right into our hands by pushing their slow growth plan. Which, I don’t mind at all.
Hmmmmmmmmmm, I wonder how Faisal Gill fits into all of this…at least, he won’t be able to influence things from the HOD, thank goodness!!!
The left is misreading what happened in Loudoun. The corruption of many of the incumbants are the reasons guys like Stanton and Tulloch lost. You can’t win with any message when you have that kind of baggage.
First, the lady from YouTube is Korean not Chinese.
Second, the concept of reducing illegal immigration through attrition reinforces a noninterventionist ‘visa-worker’ program where people(ie. labor) would be allowed to move freely. Basically, it proves that people will voluntarily relocate to areas where conditions(economic or otherwise) are more favorable.
CC - Yes, I know the Youtube lady is Korean. The woman who wrote the article “The Right Road to America?” starting on the front of Outlook, Amy Chua, is Chinese.
I read the online version. I didn’t see the print version. I’ll go read it. Thanks.
Personally, I don’t agree with her suggestion that we overhaul the ‘family re-unification’ policy with one that favors ‘highly skilled workers.’ This suggestion runs counter to our tradition and doesn’t subscribe to the sentiments expressed at the Statute of Liberty which have served this country well.

Make English the official national language. FINE (but continue to have an allowance/exception for the elderly.)
Immigrants must embrace the nation’s civic virtues. FINE
Enforce the law. FINE (but don’t not enforce a law for 20 years and then attempt to follow that up with by an unreasonably harsh enforcement. That’s not fair.)
Make the United States an equal-opportunity immigration magnet. FINE
I am a pro-business, economic conservative who supports a vibrant and dynamic local economy. I support the free flow of commerce across international borders.
It is the anti-busines, pro-socialist, economic liberals who want to restrict growth, impose trade barriers, strengthen unions and raise taxes.
A rising tide lifts all boats, as JFK once said.
Ducky - That’s great — for those who HAVE boats.
Read Wealth of Nations, by Adam Smith, Krusty:
The statesman who should attempt to direct private people in what manner they ought to employ their capitals, would not only load himself with a most unnecessary attention, but assume an author-ity which could safely be trusted, not only to no single person, but to no council or senate whatever, and which would nowhere be so dangerous as in the hands of a many who had folly and presump-tion enough to fancy himself fit to exercise it.

I say we ALL should read Adam Smith!!! Great quotation, by the way.
Actually, Amy Chua is neither Chinese nor Korean, she is American.
“The Wealth of Nations” is a “tough read” (at least it was when I was in Graduate School). I would recommend On The Wealth of Nations (Books That Changed the World) by P. J. O’Rourke. It’s a lighter version that would satisfy any free market conservative (of which I am one). He also gets into some of the limitations of Adam Smith’s original work (from a Conservative’s point of view).
A good read!
Also, Thomas Sowell’s “Basic Economics-A Commonsense Guide to the Econoly”

I’m member #2.
Monticup and CoM: If we depress the economy to the point where there’s no advantage between here and Central America, we can nip this pesky tendency of people trying to better themselves. In fact, if we can get our economy depressed enough so as to be behind the rest of the world, we can start plotting how to sneak into countries that would support us and our families. Sounds like a plan to me. Let’s go for it.
Nova,
I agree, But, you will see just how fast other Nations are not like the United States. Try to sneak into Mexico and partake in a protest…. you might not make it out alive.
Who says anything about depressing the economy?
Nova, The problem is that these illegal aliens do NOT better themselves. They bring in their third world ways and expect American citizens to define deviancy down.
Mukit Hossain got his butt kicked in Herndon. His Project Hope & Harmony ran the doomed-to-failure day labor site in collusion with the deposed O’Reilly regime and ended up getting kicked out of town.
He has bought out a lot of pandering local politicians, but he couldn’t buy out the people of Herndon.
Hossain is a racist of the vilest degree. Every interview he gives to the press contains a racist comment. He hates European Americans and is expending his wealth trying to reduce them to a minority subject to the whims of a Muslim caliphate backed up with a Hispanic illegal alien underclass.
Let’s hope the people of Prince William send him packing too.
