Tim Craig Returns
By Greg L | 7 January 2008 | Virginia Politics, Humor & Satire | 9 Comments
By the looks of the “Virginia Politics” blog at The Washington Post, it would appear that Tim “The Fist” Craig is still employed. After an unexplained hiatus from the blog since late December, Craig’s first article is somewhat incongruously about Bob Marshall.
I guess that makes it official: inserting rubber objects into the orifices of others on camera is not a debilitating factor to employment as a politics reporter in Richmond as far as the Washington Post is concerned. Unfortunately such acceptance of diversity doesn’t seem extend to holding differing political convictions. Rubber fists, not so bad. Being a conservative, unacceptable.
I’m glad we got that straight now.

Just can’t let go of that vile “fist” story, can you?
My recollection was that in the movie Borat the Craig-look-alike’s friend walked into a bathroom with Borat/Sasha Baron Cohen and closed the door. “Craig” showed support for the activities by waving a sex toy in front of the camera.
Nothing happened in real life, although Borat/Cohen later told a bemused Alan Keyes “You mean man who tried to put fist in my ay-noos is…homosexual?”
Did he in fact insert anything into anyone on camera? I don’t recall seeing what effectively would be a porn video posted on this blog.
Hee-hee…you said “straight”…
I believe Greg made his point about what the Post considers to be important insofar as appearances. It’s all right to be a sexual deviant, just as long as you’re not conservative.
It is good that Greg has pointed out Craig’s orientation and prediliction for deviant behavior, as now we can be on the look out for any bias in Craig’s reporting on social conservatives. I didn’t see any bias in this article, as Marshall’s social conservative views are well known, and Craig presented this matter-of-factly.
Fair and balanced reporting from a Post (Tass) correspondant? This I must see.
Mr. Johnson,
I would not begin to imply that the Post is capable of being fair or balanced. The benefit of knowing what the individual reporter’s biases may be is of great benefit when dissecting a story.
Batson-
True, dat. Der Posten is not being kind to Hillary of late. Do I sense a change in the wind direction? They hung Bill out to dry after the Lewinsky thing, too. Funny how liberals change flavors so often.
Johnson - “Tass” and “Der Posten”!?! Are you insinuating that Washington Post is a fascistic newspaper. (I take it that the German handle refers to the Hitler era)
