By Greg L | 18 January 2008 | Blogs | 25 Comments
While I was busy engaged in pushing out some software, comment 50,000 rolled in on January 17th, and lo and behold we have a two-time winner here! The 50,000th comment was posted by “/\/\3|)iç 64″ on the thread about Mitt Romney’s victory in the Michigan primaries, telling readers that he’s still sticking with Fred Thompson as his pick for the Republican nomination for President.
This time I really have to give out a prize. “Medic” gets an “old school” BVBL T-shirt. For those of you who haven’t seen these (there are a handful out there) they have the BVBL logo on the front, and a helmet on the back with the old URL for this site from when it was hosted on blogger. I hope a medium or a 2XL will fit him, because that’s all that’s left.

I’m not surprised in the least. Congrats M64!

“Police: Victim Drunk During Tiger Attack”
(from page 2 of the article): “All three also had marijuana in their systems, Matthews said. Kulbir Dhaliwal told police that the three had smoked pot and each had “a couple shots of vodka” before leaving San Jose for the zoo on Christmas Day, the affidavit said.”
Didn’t the authorities find slingshots either in their car or on their person?

Consider the odds, with as many regular posters, that Medic 64 would hit it twice. Quite an honor.

Bats,
I am as surprised as the next person. I am in hopes lightning doesn’t suddenly appear in the sky. I wouldn’t stand too close to me if I was anyone!!!! Now if I could just get those lottery numbers to hit!!
TY Lafayette. I am sure some are not going to be happy about it.
Had to change it
Greg,
TY for the shirt!!!!
Sorry I couldn’t have a more insightful comment for the 50k post. Maybe next time I can have something better
Well done Medic. Don’t wear that shirt in public, we will all be able to recognize you now

If I were him, I would run out and buy a lottery ticket!
jfk,
I have no quarrel meeting up with fellow bloggers for a coke or ice tea.
I do not drink per se (birthday, new years and anniversary).

42M with a 26M cash payout is ok with me. Sheeesh a 250k payout would be good!!!

Odds of being struck by lightning: 576,000 to 1
Odds of being killed by lightning: 2,320,000 to 1

Maybe the award should be for him to get a life.
LOL
And to El Guapo … a crown, a crown of sour grapes; May they remain as eternally green as your evident envy.
es_la_ley,
What are the odds I would post both of those post milestones?

I dunno. How many times did you post?
