Ricardo Juarez Admits Defeat
By Greg L | 22 January 2008 | Illegal Aliens, Prince William County | 48 Comments
According to the Washington Post, Ricardo Juarez is suddenly dropping his ridiculous assertion that the Rule of Law resolution passed by the Prince William Board of County Supervisors is a racist measure that targets all immigrants, rather than illegal aliens. I’d gather that Mexicans Without Borders is so concerned about the BOCS providing funding for the implementation of this measure, that they’re telling the press that they’ve utterly lost this fight, and that there’s no need to continue battling.
Even if it is never fully implemented, the resolution has had its intended effect, said Ricardo Juarez, general coordinator of Mexicans Without Borders. Illegal immigrants are leaving Prince William County, he said.
Day laborers use a 7-Eleven in Woodbridge as an informal hiring site. It was the scene of two raids in the fall of 2004.
Men still gather there, but in smaller numbers. Swing by at 7 or 10 in the morning, and 30 laborers can be found waiting for work. (emphasis added)
Boy, is this quite a stunning admission. After ranting on for months about how everyone supporting this effort is a racist and that the intent of this legislation is “anti-immigrant”, and watching that attempt to mis-characterize the intentions of folks who simply wanted to make sure that we are governed by laws fail at every turn, the new tactic at work is “we surrender, you can go home now.” Unfortunately for Mr. Juarez, having an informal day laborer site shrink from over one hundred illegal aliens to thirty hardly constitutes the full restoration of law and order in our communities. These brazen lawbreakers attacked a woman in her car not too long ago, and the day after that incident rushed her car while she was waiting for the light to change across the street from this site in an attempt to repeat this criminal behavior. While the situation in Prince William County has considerably improved, we are far from securing our communities from the scourge of illegal aliens.
At least as this fight continues, the blatant lies that the illegal alien lobby have been employing are being discarded one by one as they are proven to be ineffective tools in the political debate. Now that the discussion is firmly centered around illegal aliens, their unlawful behavior, and the efforts we should legitimately undertake to discourage their unlawful presence, perhaps we can start making this discussion of public policy a more rational one. Reckless shouts of racism have not helped to develop consensus, and with those shouts apparently fading away, perhaps Ricardo Juarez is willing to discuss what the best way to discourage illegal aliens such as himself, most likely, from unlawfully residing in our communities.
Declaring victory here is premature, but at least the illegal alien lobby is acknowledging they have lost.

It’s always nice when the opposition concedes. They have no argument whatsoever.
J. Walter Tejada, vice chairman of the Arlington County Board, said Arlington has no plans to change its policies, either. “Arlington will continue to be a welcoming and inclusive county,” Tejada said. “What Loudoun and Prince William counties are doing is government-sanctioned xenophobia at its very ugliest.”
Source: http://www.waltertejada.net/node/12
Email Jose Walter Tejada: wtejada@arlingtonva.us
Senor Tejada is a racist. It is more important to him to be latino and cater to other latinos than to consider the needs of his entire community.
No point in emailing Tejada. He was elected by voters in Arlington so his mantra of diversity and inclusiveness is what voters wanted, that’s what they get. Fun part will be all illegals who left FFX and Arlington due to Cost of Living being to move back to those counties. Forever, Loudoun and Prince William/Manassas have been dumping grounds where all illegals end up and those counties are mad that landfill is now closed.
Well Senor Juarez,
It’s been fun. All you do is walk in a Southerly direction until you see a river called Rio Grande….just get to the other side, and you’re home!
Bye-Bye Now!
It’s my understanding that the exodus of illegals has nothing to do with the Rule of Law Resolution. They are leaving PWC, and in fact, the entire Commonwealth, in anticipation of the passage of two pieces of legislation introduced in the state General Assembly by two delegates, McClellan and Spruill.
Spruill’s bill, HB 1452 Display of offensive objects or devices; prohibited on any vehicle, as already reported on this Blog, would make it a traffic offense to, “display on or equipping of any motor vehicle with any object that depicts, represents, or resembles human genitalia (regardless of how small).” McClellan’s bill is more serious. She would make it a Class 5 felony to steal a cat. She also sponsored a resolution commending the Richmond Gay Community for their fine works (bingo games and 2d hand shops).
Yesterday, Senator (I wanna be the Guv) Deeds asked me how I would fund Senator Vogel’s proposed bill that would require county law enforcement agencies to enter into 287g agreements with ICE. I’ve got your answer, Senator. From the fines imposed on cat stealers and human genitalia displayers. We’re in good hands, folks.
Buy AK-47’s and lots of ammo. The tree of liberty needs refreshed.
I cant fathom why paying for it is an issue. Its an upfront cost (investment) that is going to yield a high rate of return down the road via reduced costs because the illegals arnt sucking us dry while lining the pockets of corrupt employers.

Advocator,
I think some just enter the safe bills for consideration. HB1452 will be challenged by the First Amendment, IMHO.
now that Ricky has quit maybe he’ll stop appearing in public like a sweating pig. Give that boy a towell!

When politicians have no real argument against a particular position or proposed law, but simply want to oppose it, the answer always is, “It gonna cost too much.” Implementing the County’s Rule of Law Resolution would not cost a pile of beans, but those against it contrived to make it sound like the police force would have to be doubled to enforce it. Horse puckey. The Resolution has already lowered the Police Force’s workload by starting an exodus. Chief Deane could send a few officers for training and they’d never be missed. The same goes for any other county. This Invasion is costing us lots of bucks. If we get rid of ‘em, life will be much easier in this Commonwealth. We could go back to fighting amongst ourselves, but at least we all belong here.
josh,
Even if Ricky gives up public appearances you always have these to remember him by.

Maybe Ricky’s being deported and won’t be able to continue the furtherance of the cause.
HadtoSay, my thoughts exactly. Maybe fearing his legal status would be found out is the reason he was always sweating on camera. Maybe he is looking for a low profile now.
Don’t underestimate him. He knows exactly what he is doing. He has no towel (no pun intended) to throw in. Keep vigilant!
This is one down, the Commission, MWOB and Chavez are next.
Vigilant,
Do you think this is a flanking maneuver? Tossing a stone to get your attention over there while I run up behind you over here?
I would agree,
possibly a flank maneuver to keep our guard down. He probably got B*&Tch slapped by someone and told to keep a low profile. I think we’ll see more of him once the resolution unfolds. I’m sure he’s plotting in the background like the criminal he is or…maybe he’s planning a vacation, to mexico hopefully (and permanently) and just maybe he’ll take nancy with him.
josh,
I think that is what’s happening. For him to come out like this seems fishy to me.

Most definitely. This guy is no dummy. We will be hearing from him in the future. He is re-grouping his forces for a final push.
It makes sense if you look at it from the illegal PR point of view. By now, they should have figured out when they hold these big rallies, drive in parades waving their native flags and hold protests on the Connaughton Plaza that it just motivates the legal citizens into action.
Much better to say all illegals have left, so perhaps the taxpayers will tell the bocs that it isn’t necessary to fund the resolution in such tight budget times. But it is a passive strategy because to be successful in sticking to that message, they can’t go down to the bocs during budget time to protest.
This last ditch effort won’t work. I wonder if they look back on their original strategy and realize how badly they misjudged the PWC populace. They ended up doing more harm than good for their own cause. Now hundreds and hundreds of citizens are informed and motivated, mainly by what they saw on those days at the McCoart building. This strategy isn’t likely to work either.
anona,
I think your right, its ’survival’ mode now. Say the resolution worked so people forget to make sure it gets funded.
Ricardo Juarez Admits Defeat hurt after WALK across the border
Where is Good Time Charlie on this? He seems to have inside scoop.
Layfayette, thanks for the warning about the pictures on the link, I was able to finish dinner and let it digest before I looked at the pictures.
Y’all are right, something is fishy with him giving up so soon. I don’t buy it.
There were 37 day workers this morning at the 7-11 at Coverstone and they scattered when I started using my flash on my digital camera while waiting near the top of the hill for the light to change around 7:30 this morning. Of course there might have been more behind the 7-11 building answering nature’s call.
In my neck of the woods, Hispanics, both legal and illegal are leaving, but it has nothing at all to do with a resolution that has not even taken effect yet. Foreclosures are driving them out of Bloom’s Crossing. The house next door to mine, the house next door to the house directly across the street (the same family owned another home one block up the street that is also in foreclosure), the house directly behind me, the house two doors down from that, and another house three doors farther down the street are all in foreclosure. Each and every foreclosure was owned by Hispanics, and I now have no Hispanic neighbors on my block at all. They bought these houses with sub-prime mortgages that required no proof of income.
In the case of my next door neighbor, they lied about their income to get a home they could never afford. The owner said he couldn’t take the $4000/month payments any more and was giving his keys to the bank. I bought my home three months before he did. I paid only 30K less, and put 15 % down, and my mortgage payment is half of his. He willingly signed an agreement that could have only ended disastrously.
The greed of the lenders and realtors, and the folly of the buyers are driving them out of my neighborhood. Not the resolution.
And although they are leaving their homes, are they actually leaving the area? Not that I can tell. The schools have not seen a significant drop in attendance. The 7/11s and Home Depots are still menaced by crowds of day laborers. Each month, the detention center holds more and more illegal and other non/citizen criminals for detention.
This tells me that they have left some houses, but they have not left the area. They are likely crowding more people into the homes and aprtments that they have left.
Dave,
I haven’t had a chance to see how many are there around 8AM as I go through on Sudley. Traffic has been too congested for me to take a look. I will try tomorrow and give you a report.
Dave and M64,
This in from the Advocator this morning..

Advocator,
Great news!
Perhaps, it will be a “day laborer free day” at the Coverstone 7-11 today.
Lafayette,
This is indeed good news. Maybe the complaints to PWCPD are doing some good!! I hope the 7-11 has the best business day of all today. I can imagine many women and young people are intimidated to go into the store with the harassment of these people. Many will avoid the situation and go to the next one instead.
The pressure is on and as long as we can maintain the small crime pressure, the better off we will be.
JM
I’ll have to agree, many hispanic families in my area bailed to the their loans resetting on their houses. If I hadnt had a VA certificate I would not have been able to afford when I bought 5 years ago. I turned my equity around about 2 years ago and refinanced conventional at 4.8 percent, best thing I every did and I still have tons of equity in this craphole market.
My neighborhood is looking pretty vacant, I have one hispanic neighbor and she’s very nice (and legal) immigrant from el salvador. I cannot think of anymore that remain on my block. The 2 forclosures and 1 rental that exist all had hispanic families living in them however.
Good News about the 7-11, I have not checked the one on parkway/route 1 although I’m sure the vagrants are still there. I think they should just demolish that whole area and start from scratch.
The housing issue seems to be similar to the dot com boom in early 2k. The bubble has burst due to greed and some stupidity on both the lender and buyers part. I do not want to see the Gov’t bail either one out with federal money. If they can intervene without spending money, then go for it.

At least those were FAMILIES. My neighbors kotted their lving room curtains and propped open their screen doors, and invited whoever and whatever to crowd in with them, and they didn’t care what was living under their roofs. I swear there was a drug dealer living next door to me. I can’t think of how else someone who didn’t seem to have any sort of employment drove expensive, souped up, late model vehicles (a pick up and a sports car), and often left home at odd hours–meaning three to six times overnight (I was awakened each time by his very loud exhaust system), returning within 10 to 20 minutes. he was never away for more than an hour or two at the most–not nearly enough time to work at a job. The homeowner allowed him to park in the driveway and everyone there seemed to defer to him and let him boss everyone around and run everything. The flashy lifestyle, intimidation and odd habits add up to one thing for me.
The other neighbors didn’t have anyone as bad at that living with them, but their tenents weren’t much better. All six houses I mentioned in my other post bought after I moved in, and all are gone now. They left behind a legacy of broken windows, heaps of trash, junk furniture, and declining property values for everyone. After three long years my nightmare is over. While the homes sit empty I wait anxiously to see what happens to them and I pray for good neighbors.
And like you, on the next block, about three homes away is a nice and legal Hispanic family, who are friendly lovely neighbors and have one of the most beautifully tended homes and lawns in the entire subdivision. Hispanics CAN make it, if they are legal so that they can find secure jobs that pay market wages, and use credit responsibly to buy what they can afford, and rely on a strong nuclear family to care for and pay for their most expensive assett, rather than rely on assorted illegal and criminal riff raff to help them cover their bills.
trust me, they are still there on rt.1, saw them this morning because I stop at that 7-11 on the way to the commuter lot.
JM,
I’m not convinced they are leaving all together. What we’ve noticed going around here is they move around the corner to the next block. We’ve seen this happen several times, and they just move on an crowd another “multi-family dwelling”.
****
Advocator,
Sorry, it was NOT a “day laborer free day”. There were about 7men hanging out, and so were the PWPD in the cruiser at the Coverstone 7-11.
****Here’s my Mid-Day Update on Coverstone 7-11*******
These were taken right at noon at just after. Please, look carefully at the middle picture#1510. This is total BS!

Mr Medic, josh and JM et al,
I hope all take a look at these pictures. I was blown away with what I saw in #1510.
should be child abuse, having your kid hanging out with you looking for work. It’s a bit cold out there too and it’s a school week as well…why isnt this young person in school?
josh,
The little one looked about 3 or 4. Yes, this sure should be child abuse. We witnessed similar type of behavior at the “marathon BOS meeting on October 19th. AWCheney and I couldn’t believe what we saw. It was pretty cool that night and there were young barefoot young children with just t-shirts on out the “Sir Sean” Plaza behind the Mc Coart building. Oh, I forgot to mention it was almost midnight. I have some picture from the plaza that evening they are very dark.
There are plenty of school aged children roaming the streets when they should be in school. This is no joke I saw more kids wondering around during the day after school started than I’d seen all summer. Go figure!
Definitely neglect to have a child out in the cold like that for any extended period of time. He looks close to school age, maybe kindergarten to 1st grade. He might be in kindergarten OR maybe missed the birthday cut off by a couple of days. I know a friend of mine was born 2 days after the cut off and he should have graduated before me in school, but because he was born 2 days late, he had to wait the entire year for school to start. It might be possible that is what happened here. At the very least, the youngster should be at home or with a sitter.
” my neck of the woods, Hispanics, both legal and illegal are leaving, but it has nothing at all to do with a resolution that has not even taken effect yet. Foreclosures are driving them out of Bloom’s Crossing.”
In Bloom’s Crossing they wouldn’ve even be subject to the resolution, but then again they do have a problem understanding borders.
That blows me away that the day laborer has his child with him while waiting for work. Good pictures Layfayette. Great job. I sure hope that PWCPD keeps the 7-11’s clear of day laborers in the mornings from now on.
As I came home tonight there are three police cars watching for blow through stop the stop sign and speeding up and down Adler on the way to and from their overcrowded apts. The way they are positioned it might be for setting up for an insurance check point.
Yesterday the one remaining overcrowded “flop house” flooded due to the idiots not closing off the outside faucet for the winter and emptying the pipe of water. Hundreds of gallons spilled out of the ceilings due to the burst pipe and pretty much trashed the condo. Not sure if all three levels were trashed, but they didn’t move out. My neighbor was walking his dogs when a hispanic came running out and got on his knees begging for help to stop the water. This same hispanic who says “no habla” when he’s addressed about his trash piling up and me gutting his stereo installation business he ran out of our parking lot. Now he can speak English? My back wall is shared with them but I didn’t have any damage, so far anyway. Our property manager drove from Chantilly to come and turn the water off to the building…
Laf,
I get every other friday off and I usually go over to best buy or potomac mills for a movie. I notice the little ones out without their parents swarming all over the walmart and potomac mills. I see cops around all the time and they do nothing. back in the day I had a truant officer who showed up looking for me if I didnt attend school so I’m wondering if they have one in these parts.
Advocator your words sound absurd, even if they are interpreted as sarcasim.
The 2:49 post, advocator. I’m ok with what follows as your opinion. I don’t necessarily agree with it.
“My neighbor was walking his dogs when a hispanic came running out and got on his knees begging for help to stop the water.”
Probably the same guy that’s a master plumber when he’s standing out front of the Coverstone 7-11 in the mornings.
I don’t trust anything that juarez says. It is just a decoy move to have everyone put their guard down and rest easy. They are up to something. We must never become complacent again…NEVER!
Patriot,
I am with you, this is not right. The “enemy” is too quiet. We have to reiterate to the watch standards the importance of keeping vigilant at morning muster.
Medic, it is a classic tactic. The opposition says nothing is wrong, the public gets lulled into their passive posture, and then the opposition makes their move (and catches the passive public off guard). That is how this whole mess started out. I don’t buy it one bit. It is a decoy move.
Patriot,
A passive posture or declaration of winning. While celebrating they come in on the flank and take over.
Patriot: You don’t trust Juarez? I do. I have seen him in Univision and I remember his crowd used to hold hundreds of people right after March in 2007 “for our right”. Now he barely holds 25 in his meeting. He doesn’t even have to raise his voice when he talks. I am so glad he is throwing the towel. Good for he americans citizens. Keep it up!
