Did the ones who destroyed the twin towers come from Iraq?

I dont remember hearing that...unless it was one of Bush's lies.

Toad,

You dont know what your talking about.

Paul earmarks the spending in case the bill passes, but he almost always votes against the spending bill itself. He does the earmarking because if the bill does pass he doesnt want his constituency not to get its fair share of money that it sends to Washington.

Unlike most other politicians Ron Paul lets people see his earmarks. You really should focus your ire on those who dont reveal their earmarks, as those are likely the unethical ones and dont want people examining their actions.

%--------------------------------------------------------------------
PWConservative,

"stick with what you know is right"

So invading Iraq, a country that had no WMD's, produced few terrorists and therefore was no thread to the sovereignty of the United States was "right"? How was invading Iraq "right."

We are occupying a country that is no threat to us. We are creating more terrorists with our continued opressive presence in the region. There is no proof that leaving will make the region less peaceful.

Tell me how Romney could be elected in the most liberal state in the USA if he is so conservative. While he was Gov. he did nothing to fight Gay Marrage, Gun Control, and Abortion. IN his state it is a Fellony to own a gun without paying a fee and being registered. In His state some abortions are payed for with tax dollars. Show me where he stood up to this. Any true Republican would be outraged. He is just anouther left leaning GOP contender who would be happy to take a few more of our God given rights away. Huckabee is the last man standing who will stand up for conservative values.

Romney isn't a conservative. Period. At least with the leftist Democrats you know what you're getting. Further, I'm not going to support or vote for a Republican who says stuff like this:

"And if there is determined to be, from time to time, a weapon of such lethality that it poses a grave risk to our law enforcement personnel, that’s something I would consider signing. There’s nothing of that nature that’s being proposed today in Washington. But, but I would, I would look at weapons that pose extraordinary lethality"

I don't know about you, but a gun isn't much use if it doesn't "pose a grave risk" to whomever its pointed at.

"Weapons of extraordinary lethality" my ass. The man is talking about the stupid "assault weapons ban".

You know, the one that had no effect on crime?

Lee said on 23 Jan 2008 at 10:25 am:

Romney is the only candidate who has actually signed 287g legislation.

Read this:

Tough Guy on Immigration?
November 9, 2007

Romney claims he put state troopers on the trail of illegals in his state.

Romney: As governor, I authorized the state police to enforce immigration laws.

Well, yes. But, as we noted in August, he didn't do so until he had less than a month left in his term. He was already considering running for president, and the new governor-elect was expected to rescind the arrangement.

Romney began talking about giving troopers the power to make arrests on immigration charges earlier in 2006, but he didn't sign an agreement with the federal government - a necessary condition for that authority to be granted - until Dec. 13 of that year. Romney was scheduled to leave office Jan. 4, 2007. Democrat Deval Patrick, who had won the race to succeed Romney, had already said the program was a "bad idea" because troopers were busy enough as it was.

Sure enough, Patrick rescinded the agreement within his first week in office so troopers could "focus on enforcing Massachusetts laws." The policy never had a chance to take effect, because those troopers chosen to carry it out hadn't yet begun a required six-week training course.

Toad and mnd - can you explain why Tancrado has endorsed Romney?

Romney is the only candidate who has actually signed 287g legislation.

He is also the best (by far) candidate when it comes to the economy.

He only one to be very successful in the private sector.

Even as Gov. of Mass. he didnt raise taxes - unlike the massive tax increases by Huckabee's Governorship.

But unlike most that seem to post on this site, I like and generally support all of the Republican candidates. I just prefer Romney and think he is by far the most qualified to lead our nation.

Romney is the only candidate who has actually signed 287g legislation.

He is also the best (by far) candidate when it comes to the economy.

He only one to be very successful in the private sector.

Even as Gov. of Mass. he didnt raise taxes - unlike the massive tax increases by Huckabee’s Governorship.

But unlike most that seem to post on this site, I like and generally support all of the Republican candidates. I just prefer Romney and think he is by far the most qualified to lead our nation.
