I agree. I think if she takes one step off of the church property, she is gone. Of course the church will not allow her to leave since the last "visitor" went to CA for a protest and wound up deported.

14y/o is a fresh flower I guess. Someone obviously picked it.

I don't think they should be able to help her in this way. She is breaking the law, why does the church get a free pass? If you or I were helping her, they would have us in zip tie cuffs and stuffed into the back of a squad car faster than we could say yeee haa!

I think the main problem is the double standard. They can break the laws they choose without consequences, yet we get it to the hilt when we break one. Imagine speeding now with the new fees added.

No offense, but I thought catholic girls were supposed to be clean, pure and chaste? Or, doesn't that matter in a country where the public transportation is segregated by gender to protect women from the jerks that pass for men? Sorry, just more of a "culture" that I prefer stay down there.

Medic,

that story you posted appalls me, reminds me of that tramp elvira arellano. Also, did you catch the ages of her children? Assuming she's actually the mother of them..she gave birth to the oldest at 14 years old. I guess things roll different down there.

I still would put her one rung on the later higher than Arellano, at least she had her kids in Mexico and didnt come to the U.S. and pop a kid out (to an unknown father at that) to get him declared a U.S. Citizen.

We are not alone. The Brits have their own problems with illegal immigrants and those who are there without permission.

Geesshh!!! Here we go again:

http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/764374,CST-NWS-refuge29.article

Saying she hoped the fear of God would keep federal agents away, undocumented immigrant Flor Crisostomo on Monday vowed to stay in a Humboldt Park church indefinitely to keep Congress focused on immigration reform.

Tears streaming down her cheeks, a defiant Crisostomo said she did not believe she was breaking U.S. law, nor did she see herself as hiding.
---

Then get off of the church steps and see how long your freedom lasts.
---

"I am taking a stand of civil disobedience to make America see what they are doing," Crisostomo said in a statement that was translated into English. Speaking in broken English, she said immigrants are not terrorists but hard-working people contributing to the economy.

"The real problem is the color and the language," she said.
---

Uhh no, it is the fact you are here ILLEGALLY!! Let's see,

1) You are here ILLEGALLY
2) You want us to bend the rules for you
3) You do not see what you have done as wrong
4) You want to be able to live here without going through the proper channels

What part of this list is right? NONE of it!!!

Why do these people come to their "new home" and try to tear it up?

One less ILLEGAL ALIEN, deported in 2000, and has been serving time in US.
Man sought by Mexican authorities extradited
The Associated Press
2008-01-30 04:13:07.0
Current rank: # 1,303 of 13,420 The Examiner

BROWNSVILLE, Texas -
Federal agents handed over to Mexican officials on Tuesday a man who faces organized crime and drug-related charges in Mexico.

Roberto Orozco-Fernandez, known as "El Che," wore a bulletproof vest as he was escorted under heavy security by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to meet Mexican agents at the Gateway International Bridge, The Brownsville Herald reported for its Wednesday editions.

After reading Orozco-Fernandez his rights and switching out the bulletproof vest for one of their own, officers with the Agencia Federal de Investigacion loaded him into a pickup truck and drove away.

Orozco-Fernandez, 47, faces charges in Mexico of engaging in organized crime, crimes against health, drug-related crimes, stockpiling firearms and ammunition, and money laundering, according to a press release issued by ICE spokesman Greg Palmore.

A U.S. judge had ordered Orozco-Fernandez to be deported in 2000. He was placed in ICE custody earlier this month after completing part of a sentence he received in California in 1999 on charges of conspiring to aid and abet the distribution of controlled substances.

Orozco-Fernandez was being held Tuesday night at a Matamoros prison.

One Voice,
I'd be willing to pay a little more in taxes if it would take care of the problem, but it won't. I would still be willing to pay just a tiny bit more to keep moving forward in ridding our communities of ILLEGAL ALIENS.

Ohh BOO HOO!!!!

http://www.nwherald.com/articles/2008/01/29/news/state/doc479f605cc9606546156764.txt

Attorney Scott Sabin had asked the court to take into account his client’s illness and the fact that he has been separated for 16 months from his wife and four children, ages 2 through 7. Sabin also argued that additional prison time would hurt the family because Xi Ye was the predominant wage earner.

This is our problem how?

Sabin said Xi Ye just wanted to have a nice life, but “he didn’t want to play by the rules.”

There are consequences for not playing by the rules!!!

Lafayette,

I saw about 12 day laborers loitering at the Cornerstone 7-11 and 3 in front of the other building around 8:15A.

I have seen that same thing for Chicago about 3 years ago. I believe it was the pilot project for this. It is cool but sad at the same time. The problem I see with this is it will show which neighborhoods are having problems, which might keep people from moving in. This could continue the decline of the neighborhood.

The Hunt and Peck was suppose to be a joke, guess it bombed.

Shoot are you kidding about shorthand? Kids today will not spend the time to learn that, it requires work. Of course they have their own shorthand w/ abbreviated words they use 4 everything cuz it is 2 hard 2 type them out.

We need this in Prince William County!!
Geesh, what do you think the chances are?

MARYLAND
ROCKVILLE Crime scene maps available online
Montgomery County residents will be able to view maps that show where crimes have been reported under a partnership with police and a software development company.

The service will be available beginning next month on the CrimeReports Web site, crimereports.com. It will present data on a Google Maps interface, where residents can view any location served by county police.

Residents also will be able to receive e-mail alerts about crimes that occur close to home or any other address of interest, such as a school, business or community center.

Officials said preliminary crime data will be updated each night by the police department.
