Alicia’s Bill
By Greg L | 19 February 2008 | Crime, Virginia House | 4 Comments
I was down in Richmond today trying to help get legislation enacted dealing with the illegal alien issue, and I took some time to sit in on Brian Moran’s press conference regarding “Alicia’s Bill”, which would provide additional funding for pursuing child pornographers in Virginia. Yes, he’s been rather unhelpful on a number of legislative initiatives that concern me, but he’s right on the money on this one and has done a terrific job working this important issue. The legislation passed the House, but the Senate needs to appropriate some money for this and today’s press conference was all about putting some pressure on the Senate to do so. They should.
This law enforcement problem is likened to having the ability to shoot fish in a barrel, but not having any bullets to do it with. Police can easily determine who to investigate, but they don’t have the funds to actually perform the investigations. Crimes of this nature involve children as young as eighteen months old, and it’s hard to think of anything that disturbs one’s sensibilities more than kids this young being abused in order to satisfy this kind of evil perversion.
Let’s just hope that when Brian Moran has succeeded in this important initiative to protect children, he will be equally inclined to protect children from being abducted and molested by illegal aliens who may not use the internet as a tool to find their victims. I can understand that he’s tacking this aspect of the problem first, though. This is some utterly horrid stuff.

Greg, What difference does it make whether a molester or abductor is legal or illegal? Are you suggesting that there should be special laws for illegal aliens, or what?
BTW, when are you going to run for office? You are so informed and interested that it seems a shame you don’t have the ability to make your voice equal a vote down in Richmond? Seriously!

YES! There SHOULD be special laws for illegal aliens. DEPORT THEM AFTER they have done their jail time!
How about we deport them to Cuba, lol, or Iraq - trade one illegal alien for each Iraqi refugee we bring into the US.
Moran has a great initiative here. Did you know that Woodbridge and Manassas are in the top 15 sites in the Commonwealth for IP addresses that distribute child pornography? Did you know there are only 43 investigatoors in the Commonwealth who are certified to investigate internet child porn? Did you know there are 230,000 IP addresses in the Commonwealth that regualrly trade still and video child porn?
