Dealing with illegal immigration is a priority for legislators this year as public pressure mounts for the state to do something because Congress has failed to act.
**********************

It is coming down to adding pressure to the state legislators to pass immigration reform bills. I think the Congress doesn't want to be the bad guys and pass any legislation. They can let the state level legislators be the bad guys.

Proof that not all ILLEGAL aliens are Hispanic:

http://www.wthitv.com/Global/story.asp?S=7928363

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says there were a total of 225 arrests in Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, New York, Wisconsin and Missouri. The 4-day operation ended Monday.

The individuals arrested had outstanding deportation orders to 12 countries including Mexico, Cuba, Guatemala, India and Poland.
*********
12, 12, 12 countries, not ONE but 12. I am still trying to figure out why Hispanics think they have the market cornered on this ILLEGAL alien issue. I would agree it is racist if we were targeting ONLY Hispanics, but as the article proves, we are not.

Patriot,

I am seeing more and more articles about states looking into E-Verify. They are also introducing and passing legislation regarding ILLEGAL aliens. If this keeps up, E-Verify may not be needed since there will not be any jobs for the ILLEGALS to do. Self deportation out of PWC and the USA is happening. We do not have to worry about deporting them, they will go on their way by themselves. It might not be as fast as we like, but it is coming. More states clamping down on employers with fines and audits for LEGAL workers and interpreting the 14th amendment to what it was intentionally meant to do will help us stem the tide of the invasion.

It is working in AZ and OK and the laws are standing up in court. It will be only a short time before all states have basically the same laws in place.

This article shows how ridiculous amnesty really is (from a logical perspective) and how so-called "background checks" on illegal aliens would be useless.

Anonymous @ 10:58 pm - NOTHING on here is really my business, especially not what Greg does or doesn't do, and ------ for some reason I believe that Greg doesn't care a fig about what I think. But it's fun making comments anyway, isn't it? OK, Morpheus is waiting. Good night!

Thank you all for your thoughtful comments! I, too, am beginning to feel sick. I'm going to snuggle up with Morpheus and dream of "long ago and far away".

Krutis said on 26 Feb 2008 at 7:58 pm:
Greg - You really don’t mind telling lies about being sick?
Do you call the school to say your child is sick, if you want to take him/her skiing or down to Richmond for political reasons? Just wondering what your justification might be.

Is that really any of your business what Greg may or may not do?

just in case anyone needed a reminder during the voting here is one of them:

Suspected Gang Members Arrested
February 26, 2008 - 1:09pm
by Staff @ Loudoun Times-Mirror

LEESBURG, Va. - Leesburg Police Detectives, with the assistance of agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), arrested two illegal immigrants Feb. 15 and obtained charges on a third.

While conducting interviews of the three people near Forbes Court and Heritage Way, all three provided false information concerning their identity. It was later learned that all three possessed false identifications as well as 18th Street Gang symbols. As a result of the investigation, two subjects were arrested and charged as follows:

Wilbur Ernesto Aleman-Orellana, 18, of Leesburg, was charged with two counts of possession of false ID, two counts of forgery and one count of unlawful name change. He was held on an ICE detainer.

Oscar Edgardo Moz-Herrera, 23, of Leesburg, was charged with possession of false ID, forgery and unlawful change of name. He was also held on an ICE detainer.

According to ICE, both Aleman-Orellana and Moz-Herrera have been arrested and incarcerated in El Salvador for multiple homicide charges. They are both being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.

Warrants on the third suspect were obtained, and she is currently wanted. Rosie Orellana-Serrano, 29, of Leesburg is wanted on three counts of possession of false ID, three counts of forgery, and unlawful change of name. Once captured, she will be held on an ICE detainer. Removal proceedings were issued against her for illegally entering the United States in 2005.

The Leesburg Police Department is asking that anyone with information on the whereabouts of Rosie Orellana-Serrano call the department at 703-771-4500. Callers wishing to remain anonymous can call the Leesburg Crimeline at 703-443-TIPS.
