Sudley/Westgate has some action going on all the time it seems. Calling in false reports on others, fighting with spouses, cops frequently having to involve themselves with domestic situations. Lots of sirens. There just seems to be more activity than usual.

I don’t know what is happening in Stonington other than there were 3 dead rats in the parking lot. I haven’t been able to find out why. That seems like a lot of dead rats all together.

No response so I guess we can assume nothing is going on (nothing important that is.)

It is probable that future events may call for different applications. At the moment however, there is nothing specific about criminal felonies or misdemeanors, unless they are carried out upon figures of state or the crime involves sedition, terrorism or as I mentioned before one becomes enemy patriae.

The problem with trying to use felonies such as those committed by Fredy or even felonies of the most severe kind, such as murders or rape, is that these crimes do not prescribe in their prosecution the inclusion or application of immigration laws once a person is naturalized. Even drug dealers who have imported hundreds of kilos from colombia and have been captured cannot be denied their rights as citizens, even if such crimes were egregious and involved corruption at several levels and the use of planes and other federal jurisdiction vehicles to ferry said drugs.

If it were so easy to use such crimes to overturn naturalization, or to use criminal acts to do so, you would have certainly seen that application before. But the guidelines for such procedure are vague and involve several jurisdiction and different departments. In addition, many citizens who have been stripped of their citizenship have incurred such action retroactively, so that it really has much more weight what you may have done before the naturalization than after. Once a citizen, you have many many layers of law, appeals and courts before someone can throw you out.

One example of this is Padilla. He could be stripped of his citizenship since he is persona non grata, but his rights supersede the sentiment of the people. I am sure that sentiment would be to send him packing, but chances are that he will be able to make full use of his rights and take advantage of our most gracious english law system.

Unlike what beliefs some people maintain and dearly hold about revocation, the only time citizenship is revoked is if the naturalized citizen has obtained citizenship fraudulently and/or has committed a criminal act while awaiting naturalization (while holding a green card) or he is deemed an enemy patria, in other words a person who has acted against the country or a spy or has exhibited similar inimical conduct. A simple criminal act, even murder, will not get your citizenship revoked. Lastly revocation can occur if a person has obtained citizenship from another country, as US citizenship requires relinquishment of any other citizenship as pledged during the time of the ceremony.

It seems that good ‘ole Fredy will stay right here in the US of A since his crimes do not rise to the level necessary for his removal and he will move along to another state and start over again. He is probably a naturalized citizen in virtue of the amnesty program for Salvadorians. I hate to say this, but he is one of us, a citizen and he will continue to spread his pernicious brand of corruption all over the land and there is not one thing we can do about it.

The Federal Court in Alexandria had this one and we need to give them more.

This is why I am totally against any kind of gov’t money going into a bailout. It will not benefit those who were responsible or were able to overcome the increase in mortgage payments. I say let the chips fall where they may. There has to be consequences for the lenders and the borrowers and that will not happen if the Gov’t bails anyone out.
