Solo appears to have expressed interest in harboring, comforting and sponsoring illegal alien sex offenders in order to prevent their deportation. What's next...'no human being (sex offender) is illegal"?

"The U.S. government is authorized to deport all immigrants — legal or illegal — who commit crimes of “moral turpitude” while on American soil."

I don't understand the outrage of anyone for doing this, or the lack of willingness to participate from other state Attorney Generals (i.e. CO and CT). All they are required to do is compile the data and pass it onto ICE. ICE does all the hard work. Probably would be the easiest part of their jobs.

LA is already figuratively a part of Mexico, as proven by the LA Times piece below of yesterday. Only 41% of all homicides are ever solved, most of which are committed by illegals, or their offspring, against illegals. If the rest of the USA wants to avoid becoming another LA story, they will heed the advice of those who courageously lead the enforcement fight. http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-burned17mar17,0,6451420,full.story

We need to contact our NoVa congressional delegation and tell them to join in this request:

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) _ Three Virginia congressmen want federal officials to make it easier for police to determine whether criminal suspects are illegal immigrants.

Police in many localities now use the honor system, asking suspects from other countries about their immigration status when they’re arrested. A national database lets police check their criminal history.

But Republican Congressman Eric Cantor said that database doesn’t include immigration status, which is maintained in a separate database by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In a letter to the Department of Homeland Security, Cantor and fellow Virginia Republicans Thelma Drake and Rob Wittman ask officials to create a solution, like linking the two databases or giving police automatic access to the ICE database.

Because it means progress with the resolution and shows people are tired of the ILLEGAL aliens. This isn't PC and goes against the grain of the apologists. Once we are beyond the PC crap, the sooner we will be able to get on with this rule of law for ALL of the US, not just the few communities and states that have stepped up. Once the OK bill is positively defended in court, the flood gates will open and you will see more states adopting the 1809 bill out of OK. Other states are in a wait and see mode right now. We will see how many will come forth once it has withstood the court's scrutiny.

Lyall seems to saying that the Commonwealth is deporting these felons. Virginia cannot deport anyone. All that Bob McDonnell is doing is reporting the sex offenders' felon status to ICE. It's up to the Feds to decide what to do with that information.

When is ICE going to go after Ricky? Can you imagine the outrage of Ms Lyall if he was picked up as an illegal? Maybe the 9500 Liberty crew could join Ricky and tape it all from inside the jail as "aiders and abetters". Sorry, I was daydreaming again... it'll never happen.

True Ducky but, although I haven't checked the breakdown of the sex offenders, I must wonder if it would be as proportionately distributed as those who are in the system for deportation from our Adult Detention Center: 289 from Hispanic countries; 24 from all the other countries around the world. These are people who have been convicted of crimes and, as Greg pointed out, not a single illegal alien from Canada!

You really don't have your act together. Why don't you go through the sex offender list and break it down that way, then we can see how the proportions compare.

McCain cautions candidates on immigration

The hot-button issue of immigration doesn’t appear to be going away anytime soon – at least not in Republican circles.

In an interview aired on NPR’s “Morning Edition” Monday, John McCain suggested that strong anti-immigrant rhetoric contributed to two recent, high-profile Republican congressional losses –Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, who badly lost to Democrat Robert P. Casey Jr. in 2006, and Jim Oberweis, who lost the heavily Republican seat of former House Speaker Dennis Hastert this month in a special election in the Chicago exurbs.

"I know that there have been some races, like here in Pennsylvania, where Senator Santorum emphasized that issue [immigration] and lost by a large number,” McCain said on NPR.

“We just had a loss of Denny Hastert's seat out in Illinois. The Republican candidate out there, I am told, had very strong anti-immigrant rhetoric also, so I would hope that many of our Republican candidates would understand the political practicalities of this issue.”
