MdMan, you hit the nail right on the head when you said, “Maryland
is governed by social workers”. I left Greenbelt many years ago and
moved to Va. when Winfield Kelly was in the process of wrecking
PG County. Between social workers and crooks, they seemed to have
quite a grip on everything. (except me)

Our house is for sale and we’re hopefully on our way to Loudon. If we get there, I’m ready to join the cause in VA and make some noise.

I have lived in Maryland all my life, but I’ve had it. Maryland is governed by social workers. Gustavo Torres, the head of CASA is a de facto MOCO & PG county council member, and has co-opted Delegate Vallario in the MD General Assembly who happens to chair the judiciary committee. Here is a little clip of Vallario, CASA hero, at a candle light vigil in Annapolis last month.

The only people MD politicians seem to care about are illegal aliens and transgenders. My home state is a disgrace.

This is exactly why we need a Republican Governor right now in Va. Tim Kaine certainly is NOT going to go after these Maryland IT companies and offer them temporary tax breaks to offset the costs of moving into Va because he is a fellow democrat.

Looks like Montgomery County is going to have to tax somebody in order to keep up their standards of service. The Washington Times had 14 pages in the Classified section devoted to foreclosures in Montgomery County. Auction, Auction, Auctions. And I thought we had it bad.

We’re actually behind on this. Pennsylvania and Delaware have been going after Maryland IT firms for a couple of months. And not just with letters. They have been calling and even visiting companies and suggesting the company move production and personnel out of Maryland.

Here’s the fun part. Opposition to the Computer Service Tax is coming primarily from Montgomery County. The Governor and Senate President in Maryland have told the Montgomery County legislators they can have their Computer Service Tax repeal - if they agree to support a higher income tax for rich folks, most of whom live in Montgomery County. So who do you want to tax, your IT companies that have made your citizens rich or the rich citizens who made the IT companies?

I should add that the Republicans in the Maryland legislature have been unified in their opposition to the tax and have been getting some good press as a result. Not that it matters.

Fairfax County is so fortunate to have Ken. The electorate there should be proud that he really knows how to play the issues to Virginia’s advantage. The radical soccer mom who slavishly represents the marxist agenda of Arlington County cannot hold a candle to Ken’s leadership style, not that she would ever discover real leadership in a thousand seminars.

Now, if we could interest legal residents/citizens with real jobs to buy up the abandoned homes in PWC at bargain prices and fix them up to live in, we could have a chance at rebuilding the county.
