The original inhabitants of North America (showing your ignorance of science history here), were Australians (modern aboriginals descended from them). These australians came out of central africa around 40,000-20,000 years ago in a migration caused by drought, and Ice age weather patterns, during africa to desert, and pulling back the sea level enough for them to migrant down a land bridge to malaysia, indonesia, and then australia. From australia, around 15,000 years ago they sailed to North and South America. Their remains were discovered, and a very few of the original DNA survives in a very small group of ancestors in southern argentina. hey once populated a significant part of north and south america.

Why did they dissappear? A third wave out of africa, during the last ice age some 15,000-10,000 years ago, saw a migration to Afganistan, India, Central Mongolia, Korea, and northern Russia. These peoples, the forebearers of modern East Asians, migrated across a land bridge in Alaska, near the end of the last Ice age as it was receding, and came into Northern North America. They are the modern inhabitants of native lands, known as the North American Indians. They are MY ancestors, as I am part Cherokee.

They killed almost all of the original aborigines, and their decendents as the migrated south, became Navajo, HOPI, ANASTAZI, Mayan, Aztec and INCA as they moved furthur south. They did not come from south to north, they went from north to south. What remains of this race in the region of the Aztecs are the mountain indiginous people’s (Metizmo Highland Indians) that are persecuted by the modern mexican government. What remains in the Southern US as indiginous people’s are the Navaho, and Hopi, and Pueblo, and many other tribes, left after the anastazi, move south and disappeared due to drought and food scaricity (just like the mayans).

The Aztecs were conquered by Europeans, who came across from Afganistan, the URALS and into the black forest’s of germany. These people were the Celts (3000 BC-1400AD), who settled Germany, Greece, Italy, France, England, Spain and Portugal in that order around 2000-1000BC

The Aztecs were killed by small pox by these Europeans as they migrated first to the carribean (1492 AD), Novia Scotia (from Iceland possibly 1200 AD), and killed specificsally by Cortez from Spain, a European.

Almost 95% of these indiginous Americans were wiped out by smallpox. Very few remain. All that remains are the isolated North American Indians, the South American Indians, and the modern Europeans from spain, France, england and germany, etc).

I doubt you can lay any more claim to being an original North American indiginous “peoples” than I can as a Celt, and a Cherokee Indian. We are all “Africans” if you really understand the first DNA markers, whose markers only came from the area around RWANDA, Somolia, and Southern Egypt around 50,000 years ago. Around 66,000 years ago their were some 16 human like up-right bipedals (only 3 survived to 9000 BC, all are now extinct except 1, homo-sapians.)

The last to conquer is the last to own, that being the United States Army. These people to conquer last were primarily Celts (Irish, German, British and French descended soldiers, some in this conquering army were also Western Africans). They are the rightful present owners of the current lands, until or unless another Army defeats them and the country called the United States is no longer a country.

We have different definitions of progress. The analytical and authoritarian based world that you have created is absolutely horrible and on the verge of self destruction. It is killing mother earth, kills 30,000 children per day, 50,000 people total, murders millions more each year in war. As peak oil hits in the coming years and gas goes to $50 per gallon and your unstainable world begins to fall apart what will you say then. The world that we now know is based upon the dominate thinking of Europe. And will all come to a head in the coming years. Getting right with the indigenous world including the indigenous people of the world is just one thing you must do to save yourselves.

All this talk of who has been here when is ridiculous. In the first place, no one has lived in Virginia for 10,000 years. That part of the argument is over. I have Native American in my background. Unfortunately, your science is outdated. Everyone immigrated to this region at one time in the past. Some of my daughter’s history books talk about that very subject.

Let’s stick with the topic at hand, jail space. I am curious to know why Wyoming has a problem with housing their own inmates. Do they have more crime than they expected? I didn’t think the population of Wyoming was very large. Anyone got any statistics about Wyoming that they would like to share?
