It would be better if Ken Cuccinelli returned the $15,900 which he raised in 2002 from officials of the raided Safa Group. cf. http://www.archives2005.ghazali.net/html/three_years_after.html

The most problematic Cuccinelli donation is the $700 which Cuccinelli accepted from the radical local imam Taha J. Al-Alwani on 7/31/02. cf. http://vpap.org/donors/results_level3.cfm?fmkey=INP000281971&tokey=COM00646&Year=2002

Al-Alwani was "unindicted co-conspirator #5" at the 2006 trial of the now-convicted terrorist Sami Al-Arian. cf. http://www.sptimes.com/2003/03/27/Worldandnation/Muslim_linked_to_Al_A.shtml

There cannot be any justification in 2008 for Cuccinelli to keep the Al-Alwani donation. Sami Al-Arian is behind bars and Al-Alwani's funding of Al-Arian's Islamic Jihad front is demonstrated in court documents filed by prosecutors during the Al-Arian trial. The prosecutors felt that Al-Alwani's relationship with Al-Arian was significant enough for them to mention it in their indictment of Al-Arian.

If the radical imam Taha J. Al-Alwani is an example of the support that Cuccinelli seeks then maybe Cuccinelli does not deserve the support of BVBL readers. You don't want an AG taking calls from campaign contributors such as Taha J. Al-Alwani.

I live in Fairfax City and not in his district, but have been following
his career for years and wishing we had a politician like him.
I fully intend to work for his campaign even if its stuffing envelopes
and knocking on my neighbors doors.
Go Ken, GO!!
