Folks have been commenting on the new disclaimer text that’s appearing at the bottom of each post, and the unique ability for folks who feel offended by any of the content here to rapidly receive an appropriate apology. Thanks for the suggested improvements, and I encourage readers to submit any any recommendations they might have to help improve the free service provided here.

Since you offend a lot of people on a lot of different topics, I would suggest multiple choice. Perhaps a menu like:
General Racest offence, select 1.
Hispanic (Illegal Immigrant) offense, select 2.
Hispanic-American or legal resident offense, select 3.
African-American offense, select 4.
European-American offense, select 5.
Sexist offense, select 6.
Political offense (Democratic), select 7.
Political offense (Libriterian), select 8.
…
Offences not otherwise covered in the above list, select 9 (a fill in the blank offense form).
I’m sure there are many more options. You might have a contest for additional categories; however, a full set of categories might require a server upgrade.

The easiest way to not offend people is to do nothing. I don’t think this site will ever fall into that category. Silence is Democracy’s greatest enemy.

I’m personally amused by the inclusion of “knitting guild” in the list. But that’s just me. I like the disclaimer very much.

Yep. Southwest part. Never been there though. I’m from the north, near Wheeling. I always heard Logan Country was a rough place. Wouldn’t mind visiting.

Patty here is a proper speeling in w Va and yes I was born there and my families are all from there. I know Logan and many of the places around the Charleston are over to Lewsburg and Moundsville :))
Logan is a rough county and a most interesting book is Blood Letting in Appalachia about the Coal Wars and how the US ARMY fought the civilians and Court Marshaled them and put them in jail with out a civilian court.

It used to be that all new State Police recruits got stationed first in Logan County… for “training”. If they survived, then they were deemed good enough to be a Trooper.
