I know what you're saying. I've thought for several years that the broken windows theory applies to the illegal alien situation.

The "analogy" if you didn't get it, is that illegal aliens are the broken windows of our communities, as they are certainly not keeping the rain out of the house, but causing an even greater flood in the kitchen. Not one of them can be allowed to remain.

The problem here is the "broken window syndrome of crime and poverty".

This came from a source other than me (wisdom from the Manassas Water Utility company), but is clearly the best way to view the solution that ICE and the federal, state and local government and all representing officials (include the butt head Chief Dean) needs to apply to this problem. It is up to all of us to fix the broken windows at whatever the cost, not point fingers at who should be paying the broken window bill, and letting people off the hook for accountability and repairation to the community.

When a window is broken and is not immediately fixed, others in the community begin to believe it is ok to break more, then break the law and do whatever they want, since no-one is going to notice, and no-one is going to do anything about it. What soon follows is a spiral into crime, corruption, poverty and community decay.

Every single broken window caused by even one illegal alien, must be fixed, or everyone will begin to believe they can continue to break the law as they please, and can do whatever they want, with the ultimate result that the community declines into povery, residential decay, social decay, rampant corruption, and rampant crime. You only have to look at the inner city to see this is true, as it has the most broken windows that no-one cares to fix.

I'm surprised no one (that I've seen) has commented on the teenager in Maryland who was murdered last week after leaving one of the Central American gangs that has taken root all over these United States. But then again all involved are/were probably in the US legally, right?

Notice how the hysterical housewives over at the anti site never seem to comment on the very specific instances where an illegal alien commits a crime? No outrage from them regarding the fact that most murders in the county were committed by illegals. No outrage over a drunk illegal alien almost killing an off-duty PWC police officer in a hit and attempted run. Not a peep. They claim to support Federal action, yet their only comments about ICE raids in Manassas and Leesburg are critical of the action.

These people don't want anything done in reality. They talk out of both sides of their faces and will use any excuse to forestall action. It's a federal issue, it's racist, it's wrecking the economy, it's going to cost too much....blah, blah blah. What makes them worse than the mexicans without borders crowd is that the put the interests of illegal aliens over those of US citizens. At least MWB honest enough to state their agenda. The hysterical housewives hid their pro-illegal agenda behind calls for "moderate voices" which is liberal-speak for "DO NOTHING". Who commits the bigger crime, the invader, or the traitor?

EXTREMELY interesting article from Washington Times:

http://www.washingtontimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080409/NATION/341902874/1002/NATION

More than 37 million immigrants in the United States, both legal and illegal, cost the federal government more than $346 billion last year, twice as much as the nation's fiscal deficit, according to a report released yesterday.

Mr. Rubenstein, a former director of research at the Hudson Institute, a nonpartisan policy research organization, said U.S. taxpayers paid more than $9,000 for each immigrant in the country, a third of whom are believed to be in the U.S. illegally.

The loss estimates, the report said, included $100 billion in federal taxes lost "from the reduction of native incomes caused by immigrant workers."

More than half of the murders committed in PWC in 2007 were by illegal aliens. How is that not pertinent? How many people would still be alive if the illegals hadn't been here? Guns don't just jump up and fire by themselves.
