Obviously, their business (”cash flow”) benefits from an enlarged customer base and the illegal alien influx has certainly enlarged that base. While the exodus of illegal Latino aliens is good for society, it is NOT good for their business. Thus, I can understand the predicament of these Americans of Latin descent.

If all of the pro illegal immigration crowd had been in the trenches like I have, serving the country with immigrants like I have, I think they might have a different view of illegals.

My experience teaches me that nobody has a worse taste for illegal immigration than legal immigrants trying to assimilate. Like everyone else who is against illegal immigration on this web site, I feel admiration and compassion for those who come to our country with nothing but the clothes on their back, and attempt to legally be part of the American dream.

Anyone trying to legally work in America or earn citizenship should have to sacrifice to be a part of what we and our families have made of this country. Every generation in my family has served in the military, and nothing has been handed to us. Why should an illegal have the right to expect more?

My hispanic friends, co-workers, & clients are mad as hell that they or their parents have jumped through numerous obsticles to obtain citizenship or legal working papers, and they are forced to endure the backlash from the communities they live in because they are grouped into the illegal crowd.

They more than anyone else I know want border fences, and tighter enforcement. They feel like they are being screwed over by their own people.

I think we all can agree that there needs to be some reform or action to control immigration, what we don’t agree on is the tactics used and the way the messages are being delivered…But all in all we all want the same end result.

And you can take your liberal crap about “leaders dedicated to them” and evil, greedy businessmen and keep it to yourself. Benevolent leaders and benevolent bakers and butchers don’t provide us our dinner.

That said, you must understand that it really IS the extremists who have raised the frustration level to the point that, to many, the humanity involved here (the illegal aliens that is) has become lost. They are being USED by the one (their leaders) and castigated, even hated, by the other. All the while they are also being used by corrupt and greedy businesses that are taking advantage of them, adding fuel to the fire by giving them false hope that this land of plenty will welcome them with open arms and elevate them to an economic standard of which they could only dream.

These are, by and large, unsophisticated and uneducated, or undereducated, people who are buying into what these extremist leaders of theirs are selling them and it’s getting them into trouble. What they REALLY need is leaders dedicated to THEM, not to their own agenda, who can show them that they ARE being used and have been sold a bill of goods that just doesn’t exist. That they MUST return to their countries and do things the right way…either fight for their rights on their home ground or come here legally and truly be welcomed with open arms. For our part, if that could happen, THEN we can logically address immigration reform so that more of them would be able to come here legally to seek and embrace the American Dream as it was it meant to be.

From their perspective, they have worked very hard to attain what they have, and they see the illegal aliens (all illegal aliens, not just the hispanic ones) as thieves who take advantage of good Americans. They see the Americans who greedily make money off of illegals, as traitors in the worst sense.

My husband and his parents are proud Americans. And it ticks them off to no end that pro-illegal immigrant groups invoke the horrors of their tribe’s past to make their arguement.

What I see here is common among anti-immigration fanatics. They call me “guano” as an insult. It is also assumed that I put the TP in the trash instead of flushing it just because of the name I choose to use in this forum. The reason I chose to use this name is to see how someone with a Spanish name would be treated.
