Dear Mr. Greg L.,
I first heard about Help Save Manassas on WMAL in 2007 just before the Prince William vote.
     My recollection was:
A girl had been killed by an illegal alien. He had been stopped 30 times for driving under the influence. If the law had been applied, the girl would not have been killed.
The effort to have the laws enforced uniformly to all residents of Virginia was met with insufferable arrogance by Gov. Mark Warner
(?) and the Secretary of State.
In 2006, while the Democrats spent S millions slandering Senator Allen and the Republican Gubernatorial candidate, with the Washington Compost pushing the monkey issue, Save Manassas ousted the Democratic incumbents in Prince William County. The resolution to enforce the laws was pushed through Prince William unanimously.
Please refer me to an article or website that has the history of Save Manassas.
In 2006, the "Soviet of Washington (state)" Initiative 946 (request proof of citizenship prior to receiving social services) was defeated with attacks of being racist and un-American.
This year we have I-409, to enforce existing federal immigration laws.
thank you for all that you (Save Manassas) have done.

I think you are right, the COMPOST is never going to come out and say this was the right thing to do. However, as is the case with the article in today's COMPOST, the paper can't help but focus on the cost of education of illegals and the impact it will have on Arlington and Fairfax. So much for the line the criminal supporters like to use, that illegals pay their fair share.

I agree with Bob...Greg, you have done a really excellent job bringing Help Save Manassas together. I read the article yesterday (good picture too!) and was proud to be affiliated with you folks!
