The SPLC Calls For An Interview

By Greg L | 9 May 2008 | Illegal Aliens, Blogs | 7 Comments

I get calls pretty frequently from reporters, and for the most part I’m happy to help them out, even if they’re working for a media outlet that might have what I would consider a somewhat biased viewpoint.  So it’s pretty rare that I decline an interview.  This morning’s call was one stellar exception however: “Intelligence Magazine”, which is published by the Southern Poverty Law Center called this morning, and got not only a rare refusal, but an earful from me.  I cannot fathom how this irresponsible excuse for a newspaper would ever believe that I would have anything to say to them after what they’ve done.

About two months ago the SPLC’s “Intelligence Project” labeled me as one of the top twenty “nativists” in the country, and their short article managed to squeeze in thirteen outright lies about me.  Months after this outrageous attempt to smear me, they’re now coming back saying that they’re suddenly interested in the truth and would like to provide me with an opportunity to respond.  I don’t think so.  Whatever credibility this organization might have ever had is irretrievably shot to hell, and if they think I’m going to assist them in their efforts to further engage in their character assassination of me, they’re absolutely crazy.

Anyone with a passing interest in the truth would have made some due diligence effort to determine whether the allegations they printed have any basis in fact.  Instead, the SPLC’s propaganda arm made fanciful claims that I did things I did not do, and said things I did not say, and let those lies stand for months without any effort to correct the record.  All of their claims concern events that were pretty extensively reported, and even a simple google search would have revealed to them that they had their facts wrong.  That they never even bothered to do something so basic to check their facts pretty well demonstrates that the truth wasn’t at all what they were interested in: their interest is clearly in manufacturing bogeymen whom they can point to when trying to solicit the millions of dollars in donations they receive each year.  Without some perceived threat to civil rights in the country, the SPLC doesn’t have much reason to exist, and with the welcome decline of white supremacist organizations in the United States, they’ve got to invent a reason for donations to be offered if they’re going to remain in existence.

With the dramatic success of the Rule of Law Resolution in Prince William County, and the utter failure of the illegal alien lobby to find any opportunity to get the courts set it aside, it would appear that the left is becoming increasingly concerned about other jurisdictions following suit.  Frederick County, MD, Rhode Island, and other jurisdictions across the country have adopted or are in the process of adopting similar reforms.  Because Prince William County has a demonstrated record of success, and citizen activists such as myself in Prince William County have been effective in asking lawmakers to adopt these policies, I suppose the illegal alien lobby is making one last push to unfairly demonize anyone connected with this success before anyone else decides that rescuing their community from the effects of illegal immigration is a good idea.  The SPLC, given their clear financial interest in the issue, is more than happy to lend a hand.

I’ve little interest in race-baiting hustlers like the SPLC, and the more they engage in this reprehensible behavior, the less the public will be interested in them as well.  While they manage to trash their reputation with these tactics, it seems that they’re going to try to take down as many innocent people with them as possible.  I’m not going to help them do it.

Tell them you do not associate with racistist anti-American people or groups.

Sorry, if I did not make it obvious, but that is why you will not talk to their magazine.

Obviously the SPLC is a greater liar than the “anti-illegal alien” advocacy groups that simply want the US to enforce the law equally and fairly and protect the rest of us 360 million Americans from the “illegal” acts of 12-14 million “illegal aliens”.

Apparently the SPLC does not care about defending the law that protects the rest of us.

That protection is our “individual right” they are trying to deny all of us.
I thought they stood for protecting “individual rights” as lawyers and not defending and supporting only “minority” group rights

The opposite of a “nativist” as they are trying to define it, is a “separatist”.

Definition: Separatist, a hate-mongering liberal who advocates for the overthrow of the nation and a destruction of national unity, national culture and national law, by advocating that all people who want to uphold illegal immigration law are to be called “nativists”, but are really “nazis” in disguise. Seperatists vociferously believe that all illegal alien laws should be broken and that all peoples in all nations (especially in their beloved US nation) should separate into separate and distinct cultures, should all speak different languages and should all receive different privileges and rights based on separate and different laws applied to people based on their race, gender, religion or ethnic group political affiliation. The key mantra of a “socialist separatist” is to declare that only minorities should get free money and benefits from social programs, based on how many different “diversity” groups can be brought into the country, and that “one of each” minority group members should be given numerical advantages over all majority groups, to achieve more jobs and higher pay, not based on abilities and skill, but based on numerical and racial balancing quotas, that give preference and advantage to people of all cultures more diverse than the majority culture in the nation. These special socialist benefits are to be paid by the majority for the benefit of only the minority and paid based on race, gender, religion and ethnic group affiliation. If anyone opposes this they are to be labeled a “nativist” and if that doesn’t work labeled a “nazi”.

From wiki-pedia (prior to creating the above definition I did not know this definition existed in WIKI, how re-assuring, appropriate and enlightening that someone else actually recognized the danger enough to put it into WIKI.

Separatism refers to the advocacy of a state of cultural, ethnic, tribal, religious, racial or gender separation from the larger group, often with demands for greater political autonomy and even for full political secession and the formation of a new state.[1] Depending on their political situation and views, groups may refer to their organizing as independence, self-determination, partition or decolonization movements instead of, or in addition to, autonomy, separatist or secession movements. While some critics may equate separatism and religious segregation, racial segregation or sexual segregation, separatists argue that separation by choice is not the same as government enforced segregation and serves useful purposes

I can’t image what useful purpose they (separatists) would find in this other than to destroy national idenity and unity. Why in the world would any sane person want to destroy that? That is so un-American as to be self-destructive of all that we stand for: life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness as “individuals” free from “ethnic, racial, gender and religious group dominated tyranny”.
