Thanks for finding the article. I had not seen this one.

This is an accurate assessment of the Herndon election. The residents of Herndon are smart enough to ignore the propaganda presented by every local paper including the Washington Post and voted candidates who shared their view of what is in the best interest of Herndon. Hendon rewarded the politicians who actually lived up to their campaign promises, listened to the citizens, and voted conscious over ideology.

An educated public is a powerful force. Herndon usually votes Democratic on State and National elections, but has clearly demonstrated that party does not matter when it comes to local issues. The voters understood and appreciated how much progress has been made and voted to re-elect the current council. We in Herndon can expect two more years of progress on immigration issues. The number of Day Laborers continue to decline, now numbering less than 30 on any given day. Reston Interfaith told me that many are leaving because they cannot find work and some are actually returning to their home countries. Overcrowded housing continues to decline. Our police department continues to identify and deport illegal aliens under the DHS 287G program.

Just goes to show how out of touch the local press is. Their views and opinions are reported as news, completely ignoring the reality of life in Herndon. It’s no wonder circulation of print media is declining.

With education and organization, any locality can achieve the same success. My faith in representative government has actually been restored, at least at the local level.</description>
