The Open Borders Crowd Gets A New Standard Bearer

Jeff Winder and Sue Frankel-Streit protest the U.S. Border Patrol
I’m not quite sure, but isn’t this new standard-bearer of the illegal alien lobby, promoted as the voice of reason and rational public policy on 9500Liberty and promoted in local illegal alien apologist blogs none other than Jeff Winder? If it is, the local illegal alien lobby couldn’t have picked a bigger nutball to point to as the voice of reason in Prince William County. This guy makes Ricardo Juarez of Mexicanos Sin Fronteras seem somewhat rational.
UPDATE: CONFIRMED. This is Jeff Winder.
Jeff Winder leads The People United, an association of anarchists, open-borders activists and outright communists. He’s the former director of the School of the Americas Watch, which took the Department of Defense to task for providing military training to soldiers from latin american nations so they could more effectively combat Cuban-supported communist insurgences in the region. Jeff’s most recent activism brought him to the Arizona border where he staged a hilariously goofy protest against the Border Patrol and waxed poetic about the environmental degradation of the ecologically-fragile Sonoran Desert. His twisted rationale for this absurd political theater is anything but the reasonable voice that 9500Liberty claims to be:
Winder, also an organizer with The People United, says he hopes that for communities back in Virginia the action, “exposes the reality of a border where products move freely through ports of entry all day while human beings die in the desert. A militarized border and anti-immigrant policy do not make us safe; our safety will come when the vast disparities of wealth and power represented by trade policies like NAFTA are eliminated.”
Winder’s right-hand at the People United and travelling companion during his border trek is Sue Frankel-Streit, who lives on a commune outside of Charlottesville that will host the next conference of The People United. This is only mainstream when you’re navigating a river in Fidel Castro’s Cuba.
Winder has been busy in support of the open borders crowd in Virginia, and recently showed up in Richmond to yet again complain about federal authorities doing something as novel as enforcing federal law. In response to a recent ICE worksite enforcement action in Richmond where ICE apprehended 33 illegal aliens unlawfully working on a project to build a new federal courthouse, Winder had this to say:
“These raids are part of a failed immigration policy that does nothing to make our communities any safer,’” said Jeff Winder of the VIP Coalition. “All the raids do is hurt families who have already been hurt by economic situations at home that forced them to come to the U.S.”
He’s even protested at job fairs by the Border Patrol, and was quoted in a Charlottesville newspaper as follows:
“When in actuality the US border patrol is implementing a failed immigration policy that doesn’t make us safer and results in the deaths of hundreds of people every year,” said protester Jeff Winder.
Jeff Winder is a big fan of Mexicanos Sin Fronteras (Mexicans Without Borders), which is a member organization in his “The People United”, along with the Virginia Anarchist Federation, the Richmond Defender, and the Virgina Anti-War Network. Jeff described Mexicans Without Borders as a “group organizing to overturn the notorious anti-immigrant resolution in Prince William County, VA… working to revitalize the immigrant sanctuary movement.” Is this the political center of those opposing the Rule of Law Resolution? That’s pretty big news.
The promotion of efforts by Mexicans Without Borders to protest Prince William County’s policies within the historic district of Manassas City by 9500Liberty, and their new appreciation for Jeff Winder and “The People United” as reasonable voices in the immigration debate leaves this film propaganda project without any credibility whatsoever. They have embraced the radical open borders crowd, allied themselves with the local arm of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation, and now characterize the leftist rantings of Jeff Winder as “prohpetic words”. I guess if one could consider Karl Marx’s rantings as prophesy, this would fit pretty well, but not too many Virginians think there’s a lot of value in the Communist Manifesto.

Jeff Winder arrested at Congressman Virgil Goode’s office.

I’m keeping my day job.
And 9500liberty and their crowd see nothing wrong with spouting this tripe! Eric and Annabel, you have lost ANY credibility you had, if you ever did have it.
Eric&Annabel (wasn’t that Howdy Doody’s sidekick?) are young for their years, awfully naieve and ultimately ineffective.
Ad hominem
I’d like to “bust” 9500Lib about, among other things, the empty restaurants shown here: youtube.com/watch?v=2oiwJ-_BipU
Does anyone have another explanation for those scenes at about the 4 minute mark? I called el portal and the guy launched into “poor me” mode after I asked, but local input would be welcome. See also this:

If Eric and Annabel were all that ineffective, no one would be discussing them here or referencing their films.
Clarabel the Clown was Howdy Doody’s sidekick. Lew Andersen.
Awwww, I wouldn’t say that, Dolph….people reply to your posts.
…the banner on display with “…and Justice for All,” reminds me of my young son, leaning the “Pledge of Allegiance.” Initially, as a young boy, he understood the wording to be “…and just ask for all.”
To me, that’s understandable for a young boy, and he certainly learned the proper pledge. Despite what their banner says, these people, adults, not children, obviously think along the lines of “…and just ask for all.” So sad.
