Linda B.
I lost a nephew in the war. I've served and woke up many a morning in the service of my great country. He's lucky I've mellowed with age, or I might have marched up to the stage and stuck my boot in his arse for that stupid statement. I'd have a whole lot more tolerance if the pansy had ever had the occasion to wake up in the service of his country....so he had a fleeting clue of that which he spoke.

The Truth .... I'm sorry, I didn't get past "Ron Paul is the only hope for the republican party" because I was laughing so hard.
If Ron Paul is our hope...then all is lost. Sumbitch can't accept defeat gracefully and bow out with his head up. Wait till his Paullock followers are the scurge of the Convention where the rightful delegates are 2000 strong, but the losers only get their 9 delegates.

I guess the Tom Davis slate for 11th Dist State Central was not a good place to be. 0 for 3.

Congrats to Keith Damon!

Well said here:
-------------
Sometimes your character is demonstrated best not by what happens when everything goes right, but how you react when something goes wrong, and these folks identified, quickly reacted to and corrected what absolutely appears to be an honest mistake.
--------------
My congrats also go to the folks who ran an honest tellers committee this year.

I found the booing extremely rude. If someone doesn't agree with the guy's comments about "putting a stop to endless war," don't vote for him, but c'mon, let him have his say. Isn't that the point of the process? There certainly are Republicans who feel that way, so why shouldn't one of them have a shot at representing the party to the committeee? And there are enough Republicans disappointed in McCain that maybe it wouldn't be the end of the world to have a Ron Paul delegate or two onhand to remind the party of some of its core principles.

Congrats to JoAnne, Howie and Kay. A good day overall.

Sully Voter I'll bet we can find a whole bunch of Republicans that even by their own definition would not consider themselves conservatives.

G.Stone you don't seem to understand that all Republicans are conservative.
Some more than others. You should have said "the extreme conservative wing of the Republican Party" because Jim Rich is also a conservative Republican. It is like a straight line with 180 degrees. You and Cuccinelli may be 180 degree conservatives where as I may be only 120 degrees but still a conservative Republican.
Thank you, Anna, for all the hours you put in organizing this convention.
You had no time to campaign for State Central but congratulations on being elected a National Delegate.

OT again, but guess who showed up at the HELP SAVE MARYLAND rally at the Gaithersburg MVA this morning....Annabel and her flunky camera jockey Eric "the Liberal".

I only half recognized her at first - It was one of those I know the face but not sure of the place moments and thought she was a POST reporter. I asked her if she was with the POST and she said she wasn't a writer just a photographer.

Fast forward 2 hours to the end of the rally and as I was getting in my car I noticed her again and instantly recognized that pitiful little deer in the headlights gaze and it clicked - 9500 Liberty trolls! I went up to her again and said, now I know you...she fessed up and asked if me for an "interview" but I was wiped and had someone waiting in the car so I declined. But I did tell our rally leader who she was and I saw him speaking to her as I was leaving...not sure what was discussed.

Eri-bel are pathetic.

Ron Paul is the only hope for the republican party. Nobody else is bringing in fresh faces. Everybody else is running as fast as they can away from the republican party.

I've voted republican in the past. Never again. Except for someone extraordinary like Ron Paul. The Republican party has become the party for fascism. From scapegoating powerless and poor immigrants, to invading foreign countries that are no threat, to stripping us of habeas corpus and establishing a police state at home. If people like Greg are the face of the Repub party now, it's only a matter of time before the party becomes irrelevant.

Former Gov. Gilmore did arrive late giving a 2 minute speech to about 30 people.

The story of the day- Conservatisms coat tails were longer and stronger those of Jim Rich.

I know David Ray & Patsy Drain were reelected to State Central in the 11th but didn't stick aound to see who won the 3rd seat.

Rep. Tom Davis & Del Scott Lingamfelter won RNC delegate slots but a 2nd ballot was necessary to determine the 3rd slot for State Central & RNC delegate.

It was good meeting you again at the convention.

I think the Elector was Bobbie Kilberg.

Good roundup of the event. Do you have the names of all the Convention delegates and alternates who were elected at the 10th District meeting?
