Krutis,

I know Tom Fitton personally and he is not "a blowhard with an oversize ego and a head so big he could fly to Miami.”

Do you know him personally? If not, on what basis do you accuse him of the above? Just because you don't agree with him or the purpose of his organization (this is my assumption - if incorrect - please let me know), doesn't mean you should be slandering him.

He is intelligent, personable, reasonable, respectful, and he cares about America.

What say you, Krutis?

I’m anxiously awaiting Greg L’s report on today’s protest. I watched Obama’s arrival at the Nissan Pavilion and thought: “Greg, eat your heart out.” It was beautiful!

Hope none of you protesters got overheated. It sure WAS hot today.

What was beautiful about it? Krustis, you are such an Obama fan. Please list for me five SPECIFIC programs or plans he has that appeal to you. Please don't speak in generalities or mention the "change" BS that is starting to annoy everyone.

Obama campaign, the media and Dem officials were predicting between 25,000 and 50,000 would show up.

Friday's WashPo says there were about 10,000 there.

Nissan holds 25,000, so the place was more than half empty and they only had 1/5 of the numbers they were hoping for.

Welcome to PWC...

Bearing Drift is already calling this turnout a "bust".

Come on, Barry, you have to be able to manage expectations much better than this...

Sure do remember the Carter years. No hot water in the federal building bathrooms. Most of the time the heat or AC buildings was shut off or so low it did no good. Federal employees having to pay for parking on federal property. Then of course there is the giving away of the Panama canal, turning his back on the Shah of Iran (look were we are today because of that one incident), U.S. embassy hostages taken and held for over a year and the list goes on. Bush is one of the worst but Carter holds the alltime low.

Lafayette 5:38pm

Yes, I love the flag. I received a flag after my husband died, because he was in the Army during WWII, but I don't have a flagpole to fly it. I'm hoping, though, that one of my grandchildren will be able to hoist it and treat it with the respect that is its due. (BTW my daughter was an officer in the Army until she had children)

Just because you don't wear the flag in your lapel doesn't mean you don't honor it. As a matter of fact, the flag is being desecrated in so many ways nowadays. Imagine having a flag as a bathtowel and lie on it half naked; or wear swim trunks or a sweaty bandana with the flag pattern.

I remember in the late 60s, one of my kids' class mates was sent home because he had sewed a big flag patch on his sweat shirt. That was considered desecrating the flag in those days.

Just curious who you all approve of jFK. I know the list is short.

I don't have a dog in this show. I am starting to hope that Obama wins, so all of you can get a taste of what true liberals are like. No one really remembers the Carter years. You libs are wringing your hands now about the war and the "recession"; I don't think you have any memory of the Jimmy era and how bad it was.

Obama is just what we need to usher in a new wave of conservatism. A legitimate third party is not even out of the question.

BTW, don't confuse me with Liela. I know for a fact Dolph that you have an alter ego. You exposed it the last time you let Liela get under your skin :)

Lafayette, I agree. It is an honor to have had 2 presidential candidates visit our town. It sort of makes you think your opinion counts if nothing else. I am all for putting our best foot forward. Thank you for your post. I agree with you about looking for that rascal McCain. I hope he will visit also.

People here have talked to badly about all 3 candidates. I don't listen to any of it. It is all opinion and heresay. Your presidential candidate is probably the best one.

FHL,

You are most welcome.

You've helped make my point regarding respect. I know you and Krutis have not always liked what I have to say. Krutis and have agreed from time to time. I was keeping count. Then I decided we'd agreed too much to keep count anymore. I am glad to see you and I can agree with me at least once.
