I was stopped at the intersection of the 234 Bypass and Balls Ford road, while waiting for the Commie to pass by. There were two County Motorcycle officers who were stopping traffic, and I put my window down and the one officer could tell I was miffed. He said we have Senator Obama to thank. I said well just don’t look my way when I do think him. I give Obama a big thumbs down as he passed through the intersection.

What an idiot he is.

thats all I wanted to know because there was no coverage on it ( doesnt surprise me) so I decided to ask the horses mouth and got no response so I was left to assume the demonstration never happened..Meaning ALL the individuals here that “cheer” Greg on only do so from their comfy homes in front of their laptops..you know talking the talk and not walking the walk…

Just Cause; the counter demonstrations were small because conservative folks work during the week. The Hussein folks were all kennel denizens trying to see what Hussein would promise to take from us to give to them.

Areas that tend to lean Democratic also tend to have higher rates of social pathology (violent crime, teen pregnancy, poverty, etc.) than do areas that tend to lean Republican, from the demographic information that I’ve seen.

Why this correlation exists, I’m not sure and don’t care to speculate.

Obama is probably here because the state was at one time, solidly Red, but Northern Virginia turned blueish the last couple of elections, so the Dems think it’s a possible win for them.

Has anyone else picked up on how much of a manipulation this primary/election is turning out to be? Who’s really pulling the strings and why? Apparantly, voters are not a part of the process anymore.

Dolph, Obama picked VA (2 speeches) because of statewide support for Webb, Warner and Kaine. He wants to ride Warner’s coattails especially.

Secondly, NOVA is building more and more blue and is quite unlike the ROVA (rest of Virginia). Combined with the city of Richmond and southwestern VA, the DNC sees VA as a very purple state, possibly turning blue in Nov 08.

As for the poor attendance, the reasons are obvious: (1) short notice (2) start time (2) widely known traffic congestion down i-66 (3) very humid temps.

If he could, Obama should have a speech on the Mall with a 2 week announcement for a Sat or Sun this summer. B/n the liberals in DC, Arlington and PG county, the Mall may very well see a record crowd.

Instead of focusing on attacking Obama, conservatives should concentrate on gaining congressional seats. With 2 or 3 justice appointments forthcoming w/i the next 4 years, I think focusing a better strategy to gain ground on Capitol Hill, is better option at the grassroots level for sure.
