Connolly Hides From Saudi Academy Scandal

In the face of increasing criticism regarding his support of the Islamic Saudi Academy, Farifax Chairman and Congressional candidate Gerry Connolly is doing what he does best when confronted with an obvious blunder: ignore it. Gerry Connolly’s “leadership”, whether it be supporting radical Hamas and Hezbollah supporters like Mahdi Bray, or ensuring that the ISA receives a lease from Fairfax County so it can continue to award students with the high honor of being considered “Most Likely to Be a Martyr” by their fellow classmates, Gerry Connolly absolutely refuses to even explain to his current and would-be constituents the rationale for these decisions beyond calling anyone concerned about this “a bigot”. This isn’t leadership. It is cowardice.

Within months of the attacks by 15 Saudi hijackers, the Washington Post reported the Saudi academy’s 11th-grade textbooks, for example, say one sign of the Day of Judgment will be that Muslims will fight and kill Jews, who will hide behind trees.
The Post went on to quote several students who say they are taught in Islamic studies that “it is better to shun and even to dislike Christians, Jews and Shiite Muslims.” One teen told the paper he’s taught by academy teachers that it’s OK for Muslims to hurt or steal from such “kafirs.”
This was the steady diet of hate the Saudi academy fed Ahmed Abu Ali, who joined al-Qaida after graduating and plotted to kill President Bush. Lest anyone think Ali was a misfit loner, he graduated valedictorian and was voted as the “Most Likely to Be a Martyr.”
As we’ve warned repeatedly on these pages, the Islamic Saudi Academy is a breeding ground for terrorists, operating just across the Potomac from the White House and Capitol. Who has the nerve to disregard Saudi money and influence and shut it down?
BlueRidgeForum meanwhile has grave concerns about the process used to award this lease, and wonders why Gerry Connolly rammed this vote through before documentation about the activities of this school would be available. Connolly still won’t respond to any of these concerns.
Why did the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors not prudently commission an independent, formal report on the Islamic Saudi Academy’s current textbooks? Certainly this and any related documents should have been available well before last Monday’s Board of Supervisors hearing. The gravity of the charges warranted public discussion in some detail before the Board decided to continue the lease.
To the extent that Gerry Connolly has responded to these concerns in any way, that response have been deeply disturbing and demonstrates a steadfast refusal on Connolly’s part to even admit there might even be a problem here. Connolly just hides behind the racism card, hoping this will all just go away.
Everyone pass this around. I want this info to get out. Gerry Connolly, the Chairman of Board of Supervisors had the nerve to scold American citizens who expressed concern about the Islamic Saudi Academy. In fact, one source told me he called them “bigots.”Just a week or so later, it was found that the Islamic Saudi Academy was, apparently, actively suppressing a report of child molestation.
Indeed, the director of the school has since been arrested on charges of obstruction of justice for his part in covering up reports of sexual abuse reported to the school by a kindergarten student. It’s just something else in a growing mountain of questions that Gerry Connolly refuses to address, as Connolly continues his quest for self-aggrandizement which threatens to install as a United States Congressman someone who actively protects supporters of terrorism.

Gerry Connolly’s m.o. is to call everyone who disagrees with him a bigot or intolerant or a NIMBY depending on the issue of the day. Gerry is always right, don’t you know? Or so he believes. We, the rabble, are always wrong. He acts like a total a-hole to citizens who dare have a different opinion. Go to a controversial hearing at the Government Center some time and watch him in action. It’s truly sickening.
Most likely to accept blood money from Islamic fanatics …
He needs there votes!
