You are missing the point completely and you are also incorrect in your reporting. There is no move to ban any blogger from attending the convention and sitting in the areas designated for bloggers at the convention. The issue is why should a blogger be named by the DNC as the DNC blogger for VA when that blogger consistently bashes the elected Democratic leadership? We are not talking about disagreeing with issues on an adult level, we are talking about unfounded slander and brutal personal attacks. Would the RNC appoint an official blogger to a convention if that blogger constantly attacked Bush or McCain as a warmonger or idiot or worse? Of course not.

Free speech is not the issue. No mention has been made of trying to pull "press" (I am using that word very generously) credentials. They are free to go and blog away with the rest. They simply should not be rewarded by the Democratic party by being allowed to be embedded with the VA Democratic delegation. That privilege should be given to a blogger who overall supports the platform of the Democratic party; who raises questions and issues with intelligence as opposed to rhetoric, and who is adult enough to disagree with a position or policy without resorting to first grade level tactics.

One can almost sympathize with George Burke for wanting to keep juveniles away from the Democratic Party convention. Then again, they'd have to ban about 90% of the delegates! LOL

I guess if you do not agree with the Democrat party line 100%, you are against it. Now where have we heard that before?

Whether it be months or years, the accumulated trashing of this party leadership is going to bury it.

.....and the illegals will be manning the shovels!
