Leadership, Connolly-Style

Here’s quite an example of what “leadership” looks like coming from Gerry Connolly.
The Islamic Saudi Academy, which operates on public property under a lease with Fairfax County, has been using textbooks that blame jews for the world’s problems and advocates killing women for adultery and converts from Islam for apostasy according to the United States International Commission on Religious Freedom. Their 1999 valedictorian, who was voted “Most Likely To Be A Martyr” became a member of al-Qaeda and is now serving a federal prison term for participating in a plot to assassinate President Bush. The school’s director was recently arrested for failing to report allegations of sexual abuse leveled by a kindergarten student. So how does Gerry Connolly respond to all of this, demonstrating his much-vaunted leadership skills?
Board of Supervisors Chairman Gerry Connolly sent Rice a letter Monday requesting that the State Department provide direction regarding the county’s recent decision to renew the school’s lease.
What does it take to make this guy make a decision? A large campaign contribution? What a pathetic excuse for an elected official. He doesn’t even have the courage to decide whether or not it is appropriate for Fairfax County to lease the property to the Islamic Saudi Academy.
And this guy wants to be a United States Congressman. Is Condi Rice expected to hand-hold Gerry Connolly there as well?

We all have our crosses to bear in the form of County Chairs. Arlington has Sr. Jose W. Tejada, an opponent to the rule of law when it comes to immigration, whilst Fairfax has a closet dhimmi, Mr. Connolly, who is more easilly impressed by Saudi money than by its implication for home-grown militancy.
You have to remember that Gerry needs the Muslim vote. He would not do anything to offend them. Remember his speech at a Muslim political event in Fairfax County in August 2007.

Connolly is a pandering a-hole. This was so obviously formulated to help brunt some of the criticism coming his way for his support of the ISA. Dear God I hope this tool doesn’t become a US Congressman!
He’s a friggin’ blithering idiot. I can’t believe even the Dems want him because he’s so incredibly incompetant.
Connolly has written to Secretary of State Condi Rice and requested assistance in establishing whether or not Fairfax County should lease them land.
