None Of The Above

It doesn’t look like I’m the only one revolted by the idea that I am required to hold my nose and vote for John McCain. This article in World Net Daily by Joseph Farah raises the possibility that between disaffected Democrats and Republicans who think their party nominees just plain stink, the 2008 Presidential election “could be an election of historic non-participation.” If that’s what it takes to wake up the Republican Party and foster Republican candidates that actually espouse Republican values, I’m all for it. In Virginia we’ve seen what non-Republican Republicans like John Chichester and Russ Potts can do to the party, and on the national level Rockefeller Republicans in the 60’s and 70’s were a complete disaster demonstrating pretty conclusively the sheer folly of this kind of thinking.
“Many people who believe in these principles – principles most closely associated with the Republican Party – think holding your nose and voting for John McCain is the right thing to do in 2008,” he says. “I disagree. If McCain wins, he will have done it his way – with an incoherent platform that promotes global warming hysteria, embryonic stem cell research, unconstitutional restrictions on First Amendment freedoms, more illegal immigration, etc.”
He says one of the two major parties needs to be recaptured by freedom-loving Americans who believe in self-government – and that is more likely with low turnout for the major parties and high turnout for third parties and write-ins.
Farah is behind the “none of the above” bumper sticker and has completed a book due out in August also called “None of the Above.”
I’m tired of being told to vote for the lesser of two evils, or being given nothing save reasons to vote against the opponent. I recall presidential elections where we actually wanted to vote for a candidate. Until we can return to those days, the soul-less Republican party at the national level will have a difficult time competing against “none of the above”.

1996 (or maybe 1976) all over again?
Juan from Juan’s Tacos here. Our prices in 2008 seem like 1976 prices because our overhead is so low. We don’t have to worry about silly things like health inspections, licenses, regulations, sanitary conditions, or those pesky taxes most businesses pay. So come on down to Juan’s Tacos and have a low priced illegal taco today. Please visit our website!

So, don’t vote. That happens sometimes. 4 months is light years in terms of an election.
Ted,
I, for one, have grown tired of your taco truck. Buy a cheeseburger.
Thanks,
Dime
The one good reason to vote for McCain is to enjoy watching the heads of the Leftists and MSM pundits explode election night when they see that BHO will (hopefully) lose.
(not the Taco Truck Ted)
Dime is slang for you know right or I gotta say it? Maybe your the boss here right? I rag no one till they draw FB

Actually, taco truck ted is juan from juan’s tacos. He’s looking for free advertising.
As dime said, everyone is tired of your taco dribble. Switch the subject and post something worthwhile.
Three words why you should vote for McCain: judges, judges, and judges. Absent a McCain victory, BHO has the opportunity to remake the law in his image for generations. Whatever the complaints about McCain (and I grant they are numerous) our nation cannot afford 4 Supremes and hundreds of lower judges appointed by the likes of Obama. No one of good conscience should sacrifice the principle of limited and constitutional government in favor of a tantrum over the fact that McCain disagrees with you on certain other very important issues. It is absolutely critical that conservatives are unified and galvanized against leftists who are positively giddy at the prospect that they will finally be able to elect a McGovernite–all because conservatives are upset with the GOP nominee.
The final leg of the cryptomarxists’ long march through the institutions depends on the apathy or indifference of American patriots. Don’t let them get away with it. The GOP didn’t have to let it come to this, but they did. Now suck it up and do your duty. Leave the reshaping of the party to a time when we’re better able to afford it, not now, when we’re faced with the Obama steamroller of socialism.
I bet your the punk that put that crap on the other site!

Ted,
It’s not funny anymore. Sorry ! I support you in bringing attention to anything illegals are involved in but, the taco truck thing is old.
Thanks,
Dime
Juan here from Juan’s Tacos, we are having a Dime a dozen sale tomorrow!
Please look for the Dime stuck to the floor, behind the toilet bowl, in the trap of the sink where all the nasty stuff is. Basically you can get a Dime in any dirty area around. Take that Dime and bring it to my dirty taco house and convert that Dime to a dozen tacos.

Thanks,
Juan
The problem with “holding your nose and voting for McCain” is that the Republican Party “leaders” still won’t get it. They know that Barry is a totally unacceptable alternative for conservatives. I’m not sure that the Republican party is salvageable today.

Dime, just skip over his posts…like I do.

Time for Ham Sandwich to come out of seclusion and run for president. Is that website still around somewhere? With some revamping it could go nationwide overnight. He got my vote in the last election…
Do not take Greg’s unpatriotic advice. Millions of our nation’s finest fought and died for your right to vote. Exercise it.
If you don’t want Mark Warner as your state Senator, then come on out on election day and vote for Gilmore and John McCain. I’m sure there are other state and local races that are consequential. Vote.
I see McCain’s traveling to Mexico next week … of course he is. Time to get the new marching orders from his masters, and what better place to meet.
Not a VA Hospital facility. Not Iraq or Afghanistan. Mexico. Boy I wonder how he’ll pander when he’s down there sitting with the Mexican “leaders”.
The other guy wants to visit Iran, N Korea, Cuba and Venezuela, so I wouldn’t get too worked up over it.
McCain & Obama plus nearly all of the Democrats, & Liberal Media alone with the rest of the open Border pro-illegal Aliens supporters professed & false compassion for Illegal Aliens is sicking. This Nation has 47 millions citizens without medical insurance, Million of our elderly chose between food and medicine every day. More than 18% of American children live in poverty with no chance at the American dream. Our vets. return from the war that came about by lies from Politicians without proper medical care or treatment. Yet they shower rewards on the Illegal Aliens, free medical, free schooling, for their many children, section 8 housing, food stamps etc. etc. no reward is too great or price to high for the American citizens to pay for the ones that break our laws, invaded this country and demand their rights while waving the Mexican flag and Slaughtering, Raping and Robbing thousands of American Citizens each year.
The Corrupt Politicians and Liberal Media try to get the public to believe they are Compassion, & Wise for wanting open borders and amnesty. While American Citizens are racist & xenophobe if we request that our Constitution and Immigration laws be followed and enforced for all law breakers irregardless of race or nationally!
It is the money they get from business from supplying them slave labor with 20K worth of benefits paid each year by the tax payers and the Latino votes with the promise of 100,s of millions more if we give them amnesty that they are really after.
If they really are Compassion and Caring there are Millions of American Citizens that have played by
the rules, payed their taxes, obeyed the laws, fought the wars and built this Nation that are in great need. The Politicians could use American Citizens to show their Compassion. But Compassion for American citizens or legal Immigrants does not get Money and Votes for our Corrupt lying Politicians.
