Not only great work but formated in such a way to make it crystal clear that we have a serious issue in Loudoun County with a Zoning Department in serious need of reform.
If you live in Loudoun County, let your supervisor know you are VERY unhappy with this Counties government.

Well, thank you Rick and everyone here, let's hope we can get more Sterling residents to be willing to speak up.

Great work by Joe. We need more citizen activism like this, using the web to publicize and illustrate - and call out the contractors.

Thank you Joe, that's tremendous.

Joe said - "In sum, I believe segments of our government at every level are at war with the legal residents of our nation, an economic war conducted on behalf of powerful business interests, a war that most citizens don’t even realize has already been declared on them."

Completely agree.

"If the actions of the new BOS result in a true crackdown on any of these violations, the whole economic house of cards will fall down. If you can no longer keep a legion of migrant workers at your property, and you have to comply with community standards for the upkeep of your property, and you can’t run a business from it, the business operation is going to have to leave because you will no longer be able to provide the cheap labor which is the central cog in the illegal machinery."

Agree and I think some focus should be put on the money businesses contribute to our local politicians. We know that at the federal level, the system is corrupt and stacked against middle-class America. If we can show people this is happening at the local level also, the prtessure on local officials will be all the more intense.

Ducky, that's irrelevant! Hiring practices are determined by law. Verizon has already had its hands slapped once and it can't afford exposure that may lead to a raid of its sub contractors.

Though slow in getting off the ground, a precedence has been set to make lives very uncomfortable for businesses that hire illegal aliens.

Verizon is one of the "big boys." It has more visiblity and will fall further and harder when exposed. This is why it is so important to expose it's worst offending sub - Ivy.

If you don't like Verizon's hiring practices, I suggest you stop buying their products and services.

Ivy also gets nervous if, while picking up "laborers" they see someone writing down the truck and plate numbers. If you really want to freak them out, ask for their name!

A little pocket recorder is always a handly little tool. As representatives of Verizon, IVY subs have to behave themselves. If they get out of line, Verizon does NOT like that - even more than picking up illegals.

If you go after IVY and able to spook them, the rest will fall in line.

Ivy is one of Verizon's subs and was notorious for picking up "day laborers" in Vienna. Photos are a most effective tools when taking it up the ladder.

Verizon has a very strict policy that requires ALL personnel - contract or Verizon employees - to undergo a company paid training course, even if just laying fiber optic cables.

When the matter was taken further up the line within Verizon, there was actually some action taken, even though neither Verizon nor Ivy admitted to any wrong doing.

Shortly after the suits were dragged into it, fewer IVY trucks were seen at the Vienna shopping center parking lot and more laborers were still haning out after the usual pick up time - some someone made some noise.

But that was a while ago and IVY and other Verizon Subs may have had a memory lapse.

IVY is the worst of Verizon's subs - where ever you see an IVY truck, there are usually a few illegals nearby waiting to be picked up.

HINT: Zoom lens photos - with pictures of the IVY logo, with the driver and laborers has proven to be most effective. Add another pic with the plate number and that driver is BUSTED!

Kind of reminds me of Woodbridge…

This is Juan from Juan's Tacos. I used to live in Woodbridge but now I have moved to the land of tacos and honey. I am so happy that I scream all about my victories against hard working Americans who believe that a house is a home, not a illegal untaxed business. I laugh at them because the govt loves me. Just ask the councilman in my district Will Campos, or maybe the State Delegate for my district Victor Ramirez. How about the other State Delegate for my District Joline Ivey. She's on the Board of Directors of Casa De Maryland. Don't believe me look at this site: http://www.casademaryland.org/res/bod.php

Did I mention she is the wife of PG County States Attorney Glen Ivey?
I laugh at you little citizens at this site:

I heard that about verizon, them getting busted. they put so much pressure on themselves to expand Fios. In fact they have stopped around my neighborhood laying fiber, wonder if this is the reason. Those telco's sub-contract to small companies of ditch diggers and such to dig the ditches and lay the fiber, they'll make the companies sign a document that says that all their people are legit however it's not enforced and basically gives verizon a pass when the law comes calling. it's all about the dollar and if you could extend liability to verizon then it would clear up for sure.

Going through that crap down here in Hampton Roads. An illegal killed his roommate at a motel during an argument. Verizon got nailed, been seeing fewer Verizon/contractor vehicles at the Mexican restaurants at lunch time. Several of the newer restaurants have closed just as quickley as they opened. The cloth banners are still on the signs that never were changed from the former business. The illegals tend to live in apartments down here, fewer wives and kids around.
