How the F (wish I could 48-point font that F) did McCain walk away with the GOP nomination? There’s a real story behind that I’m sure. Repiblicans have been hoodwinked and bamboozled again, transfixed by bogus stories about “Obama doesn’t respect the Pledge of Allegiance” and the usual sort of nonsense you guys get energized about every 4 years (gay marriage, flag burning, etc. etc.).

I was READY and WILLING to vote GOP for the first time in 24 years, disgusted as I am with the Democartic party, but the whole slate of GOP candidates are pro-Amnesty, F them I say (wish I could make that one 52 points big).

Wright’s comments were shameful and bother me (the exact same way Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson’s comments bothered me). That’s an issue. I think Obama did a decent job addressing that in his speech - to my satisfaction actually. I don’t think I’ll vote for him, but this stuff about his wife’s inartful speaking and his senile ex-pastor from his previous church is just jerking around the edges as far as I’m concerned. McCain is a huge proponent of amnesty, dedicated to intellectual dishonesty on the issue, and you’re going to vote for him because you’ve become riled up about Obama’s WIFE and EX-PASTOR? Come on, see the forest for the trees. You’re being bamboozled and hoodwinked.

The important part though is that the Democrats have nominated a man who was/is attracted to a woman of such thinking as his wife and the “Right Reverend” Jeremiah Wright to become our next president. THAT is the issue….

Contrast that with Marcie who calls Mrs Obama “his ugly assed wife”!

The Wright thing reflects badly on his left-wing bent but I wouldn’t lose sleep over it. He’s “rebuked” Wright. What exactly do you want done? Does his crank of a Pastor’s statement make him ineligible to run in your view?

And why exactly do you begrudge black people their votes? You consider them all less educated on the issues than you?

And is his WIFE not allowed one misstatement? Should we parse your words with the same zeal hers are parsed?

Nor would I vote for Queen Elizabeth.

I can just hear it, “Listen Mr. National Security advisor, I’m on vacation right now and I don’t want to hear about that Iranian nuke test until I get back to D.C., OK?” OR “Listen Mr. Secretary of State, I don’t care if it is the President of Russia calling. It’s Saturday afternoon and I’m watching a ballgame. Tell him I’ll call him back on Monday.”

Local 2544 of the National Border Patrol Council, the largest union among the nation’s force of rank-and-file U.S. Border Patrol agents, doesn’t know who to endorse in the presidential race, but the union does know who it won’t: “We will not endorse Sen. John McCain, even though he is currently representing our home state of Arizona.”

In a posting on the local’s web page, the union said Mr. McCain “has never been serious about immigration enforcement, and he has never been serious about supporting the Border Patrol,” adding that the senior senator has routinely “minimized and trivialized” the illegal immigration problem in this country. It said the only “solution” he has ever offered is a massive new amnesty program designed to reward illegal aliens who have succeeded in violating the nation’s laws.

“If Sen. McCain succeeds in becoming the president of this great nation, we believe it would be a disaster for border security and the enforcement of our immigration laws. We believe the American people have already seen enough of this type of behavior from our politicians.

“For those who care about the issues of illegal immigration and border security, we ask that you not support Senator McCain under any circumstances,” the local said. “Don’t be fooled by any ‘tough’ talk he may use now regarding illegal immigration and border enforcement. His actions over the years, his complete lack of support for rank-and-file Border Patrol agents, and his incessant calls for more ‘amnesty’ programs for the illegal aliens who succeed in violating our laws have done all the talking we care to hear.”

The local said that while it honors Mr. McCain’s past military service, Border Patrol agents are routinely being assaulted, shot at, killed, crippled and otherwise injured trying to do an often unpopular job for this country, and “Senator McCain has sought to sell us out and sell our mission out at every turn. Of all people, he should understand what it’s like to serve your country and to have politicians and others turn their backs on you. Please honor Senator McCain’s military service, but support someone else for president.”
