From today's headlines:

Sen. John McCain told a Hispanic group Saturday that passing an immigration bill to legalize illegal immigrants is "my top priority, yesterday, today and tomorrow,"

There you have it! A little straight talk for ya!

Current status on the Rule of Law Resolution: On July 1, all persons arrested will have their immigration status checked, regardless of probable cause. All persons not arrested may have their immigration status checked at an officer’s discretion under a “reasonable suspicion” standard.

You should not hold your breath on this to take place at all. As we all know it is under Charlie Deane's direction and we know what he wants to do with this resolution.

has anyone every suggested to the chicks over at the other website to hit up jenny craig? they need it, maybe even suggesting some alli or something would help. figure since they shoot out insults like they are going out of style it would be nice to see some shot their way. and KGotturd or whatever her name is, there are not enough words to describe how vile that one is. she's in severe need of liposuction of the mouth. of all the people that need to be deported it should be them who go first.

Thanks for the information. My wife followed the rules but as you read, it did no good to call the police as they "didn't want to hear about it or take down the information re the driver of the other car or license plate number.

Greg, I have the info on the accident on Sudley Manor and 234. The person hit was the wife of M’s soccer coach. If you need more info, please contact me.

Greg, the above incident from DPortM is the other accident I was referring to in my 11:50 pm post. I can't find the original post as it appears to have been removed. I belive it was posted last week. The incident at the Westgate Giant was sent in response to the 234 incident. The facts as stated in my 11:50 pm post are accurate as the incident happened to my wife. After the police were called per instructions from my insurance company to my wife and refused to take the information, my insurance company was informed of the fact and they were "astounded" that the police would not follow up.

I hear ya! GregL is the MAN! Please take notice of my new name.

Also, I see a lot of debate on this blog about Fairfax vs Prince William Counties. Here is a good site to see the trends in foreclosures for both. It is updated daily M thru Sat. I don't know this guy, but he does see to stay current with the info.

Interesting column by Colbert King on the OpEd page in today's Post: "Tainted Money for DC Schools".

Mayor Fenty has an educational fund of some sort which has "pocketed $50,000" from Kuwait. Recommended reading sez Krutis.

Response to Anonymous on 27 June at 11:50

Leaving the scene of an accident (private property or state maintained roadways) without providing personal information is a hit & run offense. There is plenty the police should have done. A police officer should have been dispatched and the latino driver who has arrived in our country to only provide for his family and do the jobs that Americans won't do, should have been arrested for refusing to provide his information, and then leaving the scene of an accident. This is an arrestable misdemeanor offense if only property damage occurs, and a felony if injury is involved.

Anon, the new procedures go into effect on July 1. Between the time the resolution was revised and July 1, Chief Deane rescinded all guidance and pretty much put the PWCPD in a holding pattern. That was NOT a responsible thing to do in my opinion, but it's what we ended up with.

I'd like to take more of a look on those incidents you mentioned however. Do you have links? I haven't been keeping up with the MJM that much lately.

Krutis,
Thanks for the heads up. Next time I will know better and break it up
a bit. I was trying to touch on the points he was making in his FOUR PAGE
letter to me....

Did anyone see the article in the MJM about the accident on PW Parkway
where someone was killed running a red light. It states that the 2 passengers in his truck were day laborers just picked up from a 7/11......

At 6:50 this evening, Coverstone 7/11. 6 guys "hanging out" at this point, cant' possilby be looking for work. One throws his trash over his shoulder and over the fence behind him....

Did anyone notice the black trash bags hanging on the fence every 10 feet or so? (same 7/11) Seems this guy didn't know or understand what a trash bag is for.....

Question: can I call the police when these guys are still there say after
5pm? How 'bout every day? I'd really like to call every day.

The Rule of Law Resolution has hardly become a “paper tiger” at all.

Why then did the police refuse to check the immigration status of the drivers involved in two accidents that were posted on this blog late last week or early this week. One accident was on Sudley Road and the other was at the Westgate giant. If I am correct, both accidents involved Latinos who refused to show ID and left the scene. The police were called in one incident and was told the Latino driver would not provide identification and left the scene. The police dispatcher refused to take the license number of the car in question. I would think that not providing a driver's license or showing valid identification would be "reasonable suspicion." Apparently the Police Dept. did NOT!

Does anyone know who built the homes along Lomond Drive (West Gate of Lomond)?

I believe it's the Hylton Group (same company that built most of the houses in Dale City), does anyone know for sure?

I figure someone on here would know the answer to this obscure question!

MadMom

I appreciate your outrage and commend you for writing.

However, your letter was far too long. Whoever opened it and saw line after line after line might have read the opening word of each paragraph, m a y b e.

It's necessary to be brief in order to catch someone's eye and make an impression. I looked at you letter and have to admit that I didn't read every word; too long. Better to write several short letters and compartmentalize your complaints. IMHO.

Hope you take it as positive criticism, MadMom, in the spirit in which it is written.

Here’s my letter to John McCain. He sent me a nice picture of himself
and his wife as inspiration to help him get into the White House. I sent
the whole letter back with quotes circled and underlined.

Good For You!
