Here’s Some Democratic Diversity For Ya

Sometimes Democrats are so open-minded that their brains fall out. This news item (there’s also video) from Durham, North Carolina describes a well known Democratic Party official’s recent bond hearing in a case where he and his wife are charged with kidnapping, torture and sexual abuse that was a component of the couple’s Satanic worship. Although this devotion to Satan is described on the couple’s website in terms such as “past life reconstruction” and “communication with spirit guides”, I suppose if rape and torture were part of a subject’s past life, such reconstruction can get a little messy.
Prosecutors said a man and a woman met Craig through a shared interest in Satan worship, but the pair never consented to physical abuse.
Craig shackled his victims to beds, kept them in dog cages and starved them inside his Albany Street home, prosecutors said. He was charged with beating the man with a cane and a cord and with raping the woman.
“This goes well above what they were interested in doing,” Assistant Durham County District Attorney Mark McCullough said.
Johnson, who was third vice-chair of the Durham County Democratic Party and vice-chair for the Young Democrats, was charged with two counts of aiding and abetting. Prosecutors said she knew her husband planned the crime and watched as they were committed.
She has resigned her positions with the Democratic Party, said state Sen. Floyd McKissick, D-Durham.
I’ll bet Democratic Committee meetings in Durham were rather interesting.

I understand the pathology behind liberal thinking, otherwise known as “liberalism is a mental illness” characterized by victimization, entitlement, envy, & over-reliance on government to supply all their needs (father figure). Guess we now have to add Satanism.
I love the way Republicans are so completely lost, so utterly devoid of anything to offer us in the way of ideas or leadership, that all they can do is petulantly pout, “liberalism is a mental illness.” Riiiiiight. Because Republicanism–which currently seems to revolve around establishing the Christian version of the Taliban makes so much more sense. Yeah, there’s nothing insane in believing that gay marriage will affect straight marriages, or that wearing flag pins makes you magically a patriot, or that never ever changing your viewpoint, and sticking to your guns even when you’ve been proven wrong is a good thing.
Republicans: morally, ideologically, and intellectually bankrupt.
“Republicans: morally, ideologically, and intellectually bankrupt.”
By that logic, That Angry Guy, would you then say, “Democrats: Homosexuals, Atheists, and Anarchists?” Sweeping generalizations never get you very far.
Wait a minute, Angry….get off your “Democrat at any cost” soapbox for a minute and consider the following:
No one has claimed that “…wearing a flag pin makes you automatically patriotic.” …and I don’t know of anyone who has claimed that NOT wearing a flag pin (I don’t even own one) necessarily makes one “unpatriotic.”
However, Angry, the issue is REFUSAL, when it comes to REFUSAL to wear a flag pin….and when it comes to REFUSAL to signify loyalty by placing hand over ones heart, that REFUSAL causes question that waaaay many of us just don’t need to take a chance on.
Now, go on back and be a “Democrat at any cost”…maybe one day, you’ll understand.
I wonder how much of this very sick guy’s actions are directly attributable to his support for the Democratic Party. Don’t know anything about him, but my wild-assed guess is that there is no more connection to his political affiliation than David Vitter’s and Larry Craig’s weirdnesses are reflective of their Republican alignments (I’ve always assumed the latter two are merely evidence of how easily infiltrated by hypocrites our Party can be, as long as they spout the right rhetoric, rather than any indication that Republican principles cause that sort of behavior).
Can’t a Democrat just have a little fun?
Was this what Obama meant yesterday when he said he wanted to expand faith-based programs in some areas?
Coming any moment now from the Democrat spin camp…it’s all Bush’s fault.
Careful NoVA, I don’t think you want to start making lists comparing Dems and Republicans. It wouldn’t turn out well for the donkeys.
This is exactly why I urge everybody to vote for John McCain and James Gilmore this fall for President and Senator. Democrats support Satan. We Republicans do not support Satan. We support Jesus.

Well, Ducky - you just took all the suspense out of this year’s election. Obama and Warner (M) will probably get no more than 120 votes max. Who would have thought that you’d get a Senator (let alone a President) elected by acclamation? Outside of certain precincts in San Francisco, Satanism has never been a strong political force.
Though, I wonder how many Satanists are Dems; how many are Republicans?
In the recent changes to Virginia’s laws, the term “mentally retarded” will be replaced with “persons of intellectual disability.”
Looks like the libs want to extend special treatment for themselves.
