Driving liberals, dhimmis and illegal alien apologists absolutely insane since 2005...

The Rest Of The Story

By Greg L | 17 July 2008 | Loudoun County, Illegal Aliens | 24 Comments

There’s been quite a stir lately about the 13 year old illegal alien whose friends lobbied Senator Jim Webb for a reprieve from a deportation order that was scheduled to be executed yesterday.  The boy, whose mother is legally present in the United States, was apprehended trying to cross the border in 2005 and was released into the custody of his mother pending legal determination of what would happen.  The family subsequently agreed to voluntary repatriation rather than be deported.  Now the boy gets a reprieve, and the illegal alien lobby is now overjoyed that a compassionate exception was carved out for this Boy Scout.  The Loudoun Times positively gushes with excitement as this development:

Jose, originally from El Salvador, entered the United States illegally in 2005 to join his mother, who was here legally. He was apprehended shortly after crossing the Rio Grande and three years later was ordered to leave the U.S. within 120 days — or by July 16.

Since then, friends and the Scout’s troop leaders have mailed letters to Webb asking for help.

In response to these constituents’ letters, Webb’s office sent a letter of inquiry about Jose to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

And as they say, now for the rest of the story.

According to La Prensa Grafica, Jose’s mother Mirna left her son Jose in El Salvador and entered the country illegally in 2000.  She was later granted Temporary Protected Status, one of the seven amnesties that Congress passed since 1986 which was supposed to provide relief in the wake of a 2001 hurricane that hit El Salvador.  Congress continues to extend this program despite little reason to believe that the country is still suffering from this hurricane which hit seven years ago, and which has allowed at least one-third of the country to relocate to the United States.  Remittances from the United States account for more foreign revenue than all Salvadoran exports combined, ensuring that this nation will continue to export their own citizens rather than build their economy.

Jose is the son of Mirna Andrade, who emigrated without documents to the American nation in 2000, so soon after could benefit from the Temporary Protected Status that benefited the undocumented Salvadorans who had entered the country before the 2001 earthquakes.

The boy, however, entered U.S. territory in 2005 and therefore could not enjoy this benefit, the small, who was here in charge of maternal family, traveled by land and was arrested by immigration authorities in Texas shortly after crossing the Rio Grande.

Jose was 9 days in a detention center before her mother could get out and the temporary custody of the child. Since then the family engaged in a legal battle, which finally gave no fruit. (translation by google)

Notice the little creative phrasing by the Loudoun Times regarding Mirna’s legal status?  Local journalism at its best, I’m tellin’ ya.

Jose followed his mother five years later with two cousins and got caught in Texas by the Border Patrol, and was placed in the youth detention center in Harlingen, Texas, for nine days.  He was released into Mirna’s custody and three separate hearings in an immigration court have been held.  In March, Mirna applied for voluntary removal that would expire on July 16th.  So now almost three years after Jose’s initial detention, pleading that she didn’t want her family separated (unless of course it’s her idea) they encouraged a Boy Scout troop to “do their duty to God and their country” and beg Jim Webb to intervene and ensure that the law doesn’t get enforced.

Yes, this child is pretty appropriate as a poster child for the illegal alien lobby to tell us how mean everyone is for expecting that we actually follow the law here. He seems by all accounts to be a fine young man, respected by his peers and teachers, and he clearly is in a difficult situation.  That situation is entirely the creation of his mother, however.  She left El Salvador and her child behind about a year before Hurricane Mitch hit, in the care of what by all accounts appears to be irresponsible relatives in the aftermath of a natural disaster and only thought to have him travel overland to the United States as an eleven year-old child with two other juveniles four years after the hurricane.  But U.S. law enforcement is somehow the bad guy here.  Were keeping her family together actually a primary concern, this family would safely be in El Salvador where they can at least speak the local language.  No, this is all about someone who came here unlawfully, and then who displayed a pretty shocking disregard for the safety and welfare of her son over the past eight years, to milk every eighteen months of “temporary” protected status renewals as possible.

You don’t hear any of that from the mainstream media, though.  What a surprise

This government will not be satisfied until we have most of Mexico’s and Central America’s populations in this country. “Protected Status” after a hurricane that occured 7 years ago is a bit much. DEPORT THEM ALL, NOW!

Webb is a real diappointment. One of these jag-offs who will sit and pontificate on both sides of an issue and actually stands for nothing but self-aggrandizement.

Hope Webb goes on Lou Dobbs’ show to try to explain this.

Americans have to stop feeling guilty about denying access to our country to others. The US no longer can afford to take in any more poor uneducated people in our post industrial society. We are on the fast track to no longer being a first world country.

Now they even have the Boy Scouts brain washed into supporting law breakers. All this and more under the watchful eye and encouragement of King George and his court.

    jfk,

We are already working on second world status with third world not far over the horizon!!! I appreciate the fact the young man joined the scouts and is a young man involved in a grown up situation. If I remember correctly, don’t the scouts promote following the rules? Did he follow the rules to come here? His mom has been here for 8 years and still requires a translator? This is the main problem as I see it, if they would assimilate, the ILLEGAL aliens would have less trouble. Quit drawing attention to yourselves and leave.

Let it go dude!! Sheesh, I come here to gather information about immigration issues, not read your diatribe about how you think a person is a jerk. Grow up and get over it this isn’t kindergarten anymore. I saw your post on another thread about basically the same thing. Move on to greener pastures. Keep the anti-bvbl bullshit on their site.

    Perhaps annexation is the answer.

As for the Boy Scouts, “Mando,” cut ‘em some slack (full disclosure: I am an Eagle Scout and a BSA leader). Their/Our role is not to enforce immigration laws, but to develop good men of good character. Given their/our yeoman’s role in maintaining their standards in the face of atheists/anti-theists and the radical homosexual lobby, I think they’ve/we’ve earned it.

Well, here’s how I feel about it :

Senator Webb, you show your true colors on the issue of immigration. Instead of fighting for the rights of Americans to a decent wage, you’re petitioning ICE to let Jose Adrade live here with his crooked family.

I’m going to hold the lecture on illegal immigration in general. You obviously don’t really believe in the importance of the issue, your self-serving ponderous appearances on Lou Dobbs Tonight notwithstanding. But I’ll give you a short lecture about the way you elitists allow so many people in from El Salvador for no discernable reason.

Every goofball who wants in from El Salvador gets in when your kind grants them amnesties and extensions and protected status every so often. They don’t live next to elitists like you. They cut your grass and maybe nanny your children or your rich neighbor’s. Where they live is in middle-class and lower-class neighborhoods in DC and the DC suburbs. Frequently they don’t assimilate and frequently they make life hell for other people.

But that’s okay for you. It’s still cheap to get landscaping done in your gated community, and you probably feel really good about helping a boy scout stay here in the US (with his crooked family that came here without him in the first place).

Here’s hoping in the next life you have to live with the common people, in a neighborhood full of whoever the elitists above you chose to let in to assuage their feeling of self-worth while degrading American wages. Here’s hoping you get the thrill of walking your grandson past MS-13 graffitti everyday as I have. I’m not anti-immigration. But I’m against the way we allow everyone from South and Central America in for no discernable reason. Have a nice life and enjoy your own protected status in your gated community while the common people around you struggle to get by.

It seems that their culture doesn’t value or protect children as we do. The age of consent for girls in Mexico is 12. Hispanic respect for women is archaic and abyssmal. Apparently, crimes such as stalking and rape are considered crimes of “passion” and often ignored. The courts overwhelmingly side for the men because they’re not held responsible for their “passion”.

Isn’t it interesting that the “junior” senator (WEBB) was lobbied and not the “senior” senator (WARNER?) hmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Congress and their staff have no business getting involved in these matters. No law should be circumvented because a member of Congress got involved. This is exactly why we have never enforced our laws as we should have. I’m sure that Jose has friends and that bespeaks well of him. But he also entered the U.S. illegally and that speaks poorly of his character. “Trustworthy” is the first one of twelve Boy Scout Laws. “Obedient” is the seventh. I hope that he joins the Boy Scouts in El Salvador when he gets deported. He needs it.

How does that speak poorly of his character when he was ten when he did it? A poor reflection on the mother to put him in that position, but not on him. At that age, you do what your parents tell you to do - you know, that whole “obedient” thing.

    No sweat,
I just thought this individual would like the opportunity (with the help a gentle shove) to say the two magic words that usually make everything all right again. But I guess you are probably like 50 times more smarter than me, so maybe from this point forward, you can council me in all areas of my life I would like advise. Seeing as you felt the need to get involved in this matter! Oh by the way, this JERK wasn’t the only one that was on that pinko site throwing me under the bus, just the only one I’ve seen posting here recently. Maybe you can figure out a way for us all to get together and have a love feast! Please have a outline and a rough draft of your plan by the end of next week! As a matte of fact since you are doing all this info gathering about immigration issues I suspect you will have a plan posted on this website by the end of the week to fix that problem completely. I’m sure you will be then moving onto a medical site like something to do with say NIH and be announcing you have a cure for cancer by the end of the week. So I’ll thank you in advance for all you do!

The Scouts are a great organization, however, while I agree that their role is not to enforce immigration laws, neither should they be used as a tool to advocate for someone who has broken immigration law.

To do this would send the message that we can look the other way because hey, you’re a nice guy and a friend of mine so no big deal, right?

I would cut these Scouts some slack, but Scout management should not over look the person who leads these Scouts. As for the law breaker, his law breaking mother and the good Senator Weeb (elected to represent law abiding AMERICAN CITIZENS), not one inch of slack.

This practice of putting immigration law on trial every time someone is accused of breaking it must stop. The politicians who work so diligently to circumvent the intent of law in the interest of favor and future votes carry the burdon of their current 9% approval rating.

A recent study by the International Monetary fund confirms that remittance is not only is bad for the remittance country but for the country receiving the money. It allows the home country (normally third world nations) to keep from addressing the problems and improving their citizens standard of living and continue the same policies and keeping in power the corrupt government without facing an revolution and demands from citizens for improvements. So, our open borders and amnesty for the invading horde of illegal aliens is not only bad policy for this Nation but perpetrates the poverty and misery in the home countries.

Mexico for many years has encouraging their Criminals and Uneducated peons to pour across our borders and send money home while retaining loyally to the home country (illegal aliens are treated as heroes in their home countries) Mexico’s primary economic policy is to send their poverty to the USA for American tax payers to support while having one of the most punitive and enforced immigration policies in the world!

We are now seeing that the Illegal Aliens can not only impact this Nation but the global economy as well. Many of the Sub-Prime loans & defaults were to Illegal Aliens that started the unraveling of the Global Economy! Just like our Declining standard of living, Bankrupt Hospitals, Failing Schools, Welfare costs, Identity fraud, Welfare fraud, Voter fraud, Gangs, Crime, Crowded prisons, Destroyed communities, Exploding population, Congested roads, Pollution, Insurance costs, Balance of payments, (Imported oil etc. to support the illegal alien population) Trashed Constitution and the Rule of Law, they have spread their negative impact across the world.

It looks like with American heading into a very bad recession or more likely an depression, The 100,s of billions the Illegal Aliens are costing American tax payers for free medical, schooling, welfare etc. needs to be spend on American citizens, not invading criminals from third world counties, plus the 40 to 50 billions remittance by Illegal aliens needs to stay in the country to simulate this economy and force Mexico to address their problems!

Last but not least, all Nations immigration policies are is by design & intent suppose to enhance the Nation and its Citizens that immigrated legally, obeyed the laws, paid the taxes, fought the wars and built the nation! Clearly for the reasons numerated above Amnesty for the invading horde of uneducated peons and criminals does not meet this criteria. They certainly must not be used to further the political careens and lust for power of Corrupt/Pandering Politicians like Obama & McCain!

Plenty of American children are raised by grandparents, aunts, uncles, best friends and they turn out to be fine people. We don’t know why his mother left him, now do we? I expect it was for economic reasons for the entire family. My experiences with immigrants tells me this is not unusual or uncommon. History also informs us that children were often not raised by parents.

We also do not know why the child left. Perhaps his guardian died. Obviously if he has accomplished good grades and good citizenship, someone did right in raising him. He seems to have all the values that we admire.

The most humane thing for our government to do is deport them all and not break up families. Or better yet stop them at the border.

Black Saint, don’t forget that banks like Bank of America have made billions of dollars by serving as the conduit of this great wealth transfer. Now they are crying “poor me” because they are getting burned by the mortgage crisis. They should not be bailed out under any circumstances by our government. Let the foreign governments they have helped to prop up assist them.

Get your money out of these banks today! You can check on the internet to find out which banks only accept valid proof of citizenship to open an account, instead of the consulate-issued fake IDs.

Obviously you have separation issues with the person you thought threw you under the bus. That is ok. I will not stoop to your level and continue to have a dialog with you on this. If you feel the need to respond, go ahead because I am through with it.

    jfk,

I am with you on the bail out. I do not think the Gov’t should even help Fannie and Freddie out. They made bad choices during their lending practices and they should have to suffer the consequences of those choices. We have started to protect children in the last decade to the point that they are not responsible for anything they do. If something happens, it is someone else’s fault. We should not bail out any bank that made the greedy loans to anyone.
