Police Arrest Man in Vienna Attack
Sun July 27, 2008 - VIENNA, Va.
Police have arrested a Vienna man who allegedly stabbed an area restaurant worker.

Police say they received a call about 2:45 a.m. Saturday from an employee of Vienna Inn on Maple Avenue, reporting he had been assaulted. Officials found the 38-year-old man bleeding and took him to a local hospital, where he was in intensive care.

Police say 21-year-old Jaimea Espinal of Vienna has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding in the incident. Espinal allegedly stabbed the victim at the Maple Avenue Restaurant before making a quick getaway.

Those familiar with the area say they are shocked by the attack. “[Vienna] is generally a very safe community, so you don’t hear a lot about anything like this happening,” said former Vienna resident, Kevin Stratton.

Saturday morning was different.

The owner of the Virginia restaurant was at the hospital this morning and spoke with ABC 7/NewsChannel 8 reporter, Phil Stewart. “He’s a great guy, a friendly guy, harmless, so we don’t know,” said Marty Volk, owner of the Vienna Inn. “We’re waiting for the answers too.”

Police say the the motive for the stabbing, and whether it happened inside or out, is unclear. But what they do know is the victim frequently works nights, cleaning up after closing time. Volk said, “He’s coming in and out of the building several times.”

Evidence was found both inside the restaurant and out in the parking lot.

“Everybody who works at the Vienna Inn is probably considered family on some level, so to have somebody get hurt…our hearts go out to them,” said Vienna resident, Pat McCloskey.

The victim worked at the establishment for 14 years. He is described as an Hispanic male. He is a husband and father. He underwent surgery Saturday morning at Fairfax hospital and is expected to be OK. “Now that we’ve seen him; we’re happy,” said Volk. “Not happy that it happened, but we’re happy that he’s doing well. It could have been worse.”

Police: Va. Man Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Toddler

ANNANDALE — Fairfax County police say a man has been arrested for sexually assaulting a 1-year-old girl.

Officials say 25-year-old Juan Miguel Sejas Castellon of Fairfax assaulted the girl early Sunday at the Annandale Boys and Girls Club on Industrial Road.

Police say the girl’s parents had been cleaning up the club’s banquet hall, following a late-night party celebrating their daughter’s Christening.

The girl was left sleeping under the watch of family members in the same room. A family member found the girl crying in the hands of man they did not know.

The girl’s parents rushed her to a hospital after finding she had been injured.

Castellon was charged with one count of animate object penetration and one count of abducting an infant child with the intent to defile.

On a more significant note, this is infrom the Center for Immigration Studies:

A new analysis by the Center for Immigration Studies of monthly data collected by the Census Bureau shows that the illegal immigrant population has declined significantly between last summer and May of this year. The study is the first to find quantitative evidence that illegal immigrants are leaving the country. It also examines the extent to which stepped-up enforcement and the downturn in the economy account for this trend.

This report should confirm what we in PWC already know and have demonstrated to the rest of the Nation: That increased enforcement of our laws, or even the threat of enforcement, sends many illegal aliens scurrying back to the national trash bins that spawned them and sent them here. Hopefully, they’ll use their industriousness to set their own houses in order, instead of attempting to take from our tables.

Those of us who have joined Greg in this effort to combat the ill effects of disregard for our laws should feel vindicated in accomplishing so much in such a short period of time. Liberty and Freedom reside in the Rule of Law. But eternal vigiliance is the price that we, and every generation, must pay for those benefits. We still have a lot of work to do.

These are not celebrations of our nation’s diversity. If so, we would have many “heritage celebrations” such as European, Asian, Indian and so forth.
This is merely another way of forcing Hispanic culture down U.S. citizens’ throats. Like I said in my earlier post, I will boycott any and all such singular events.

Anonymous, you are probably right about the soccer field scenario. I am not alone in my reaction to the Nats. Some friends did attend and are demanding refunds because they could not understand the Spanish announcements. They too will boycott the event in future years.

Truly a shame.

That’s part of the problem. I wager that within 5-7 years, the Nationals will go the way of the Senators and DC will have another soccer field for the illegals Sunday leagues.

And the two tall apartment buildings near Nova are known as Taliban Towers.

There are numerous problems in the Lake Barcroft area with crime, stealing boats, drownings from illegal aliens etc.

Naively, most of us assume when we send our kids to school, that the school is functioning in English - not the case.

The Nationals also fell into this trap of desperately trying to make Spanish speakers feel comfortable at the expense of any type of common sense or bottom line of right vs. wrong.
