If you really want to learn something about gang signs and gang society just get on google and discover that gangs have their own blogs, there is even a web site called last combat.com that has videos of intergang fights. Gangs have gone the way of the internet, they are actually quite technologically savy. They may tag our neighborhoods, and they have my space accounts.

The response time for the police at that property has been very good. It probably has something to do with the stabbing that happened at the 7-11 last month. Does anyone know about that?
Hopefully word will spread about the arrest and the day laborers will quit hanging out there.

I just witnessed a momentous event. The police were called about trespassers on the vacant property immediately adjacent to the Coverstone 7-11. It took the police 5 minutes to arrive (great response time) - and they arrested one of the two individuals who didn’t vacate the area upon seeing the police car.

Kudos to the PWC Police Department!!!!

Think about it New Dawn, maybe the person being asked the question is ignoring the person asking the question. I personally ignore a couple of people here because they come on and start crap and then leave once it is at a boil. I do not want to satisfy their need for attention. Seems to me, IMHO, the person always asking someone to answer a question and the person is not answering it, they do not want to talk to them or fuel their continued “stirring of the pot”.

Since I’m relatively new to this, can someone tell me if a question is asked of a poster do they usually reply to it? It doesn’t seem like it.

NOVA was asked a couple of questions on here and I also noticed on that other blog that they have been asking people questions that aren’t anwsered.

I think that we need to be a little understanding of these hispanic gang members. I am sure that the graffitti writting that they do desacrating billboards, buildings and bridges is only an attempt to work on their writting skills. As we have read, a majority of this hispanics coming into our country do not have high school educations and if they do, I would not put much merit in the quality of their education system anyway. The more graffiti that they complete the better that they may be to succeed in this country.

Some people seem to think that all of this is B.S. and these gangs are harmless. I wish those that think that would explain to everyone why we have gang task forces in NOVA if that is the case.I guess they don’t remember the machette(sp?) attacks or the murders that these gang members have done. Yup just something we have all made up!

Just disgusting. I have lived in Manassas for 30 years, not born but definitely raised and live there. All these areas were stomping grounds of my youth, and to see them defaced and destroyed by an invading illegal army of terrorists disgusts me. We need some new laws in this country and we need them fast, we need to declare all gangs as Terrorists and bring down the full might of our military upon them. We keep fighting terrorists abroad but forget about the worst kind that terrorize domestically. And not to forget about our own home grown terrorists like our all famous, mafias and biker gangs like the Hell’s Angels, those former militray turn turncoat traitors and bike gangs need dealing with just as much as the illegals, and don’t forget about one of the oldest, the KKK and Arian Nation. Sickos they all are.

How can one grumble that illegals are responsible for gang activity citing empirical evidence, whilst also whining that law enforcement cannot inquire about individuals’ legal status? That makes no sense.

I saw graffiti very similar to what you describe years ago on a utility box in Manassas City. I know for a fact it was in Manassas City because their electric utility department is the only one around here that uses fiberglass transformer enclosures, and that’s what it was on. (Neither NOVEC nor Dominion use them that I’ve ever seen).

I believe it was either off Hastings Drive or Liberia.

This had to have been over 10 years ago. It was there quite a while, too.

Up here in Loudoun County we keep hearing from “official sources” that only a miniscule percentage of the gangs are composed of illegal immigrants. I’ve been wondering about that. Gee, now I understand. All those “illegal” gang members are in Prince William County and other jurisdictions. If that doesn’t beat all! Hold it a moment while I get my tongue out of my cheek.
