Check out FOX News Channel. The republicans in the House of Representatives are refusing to adjourn. They have turned off the lights and C-SPAN but the republicans are still debating among themselves. Check it out.
This was to good to leave on the other thread so I cat and pasted them here.

I just witnessed a momentous event. The police were called about trespassers on the vacant property immediately adjacent to the Coverstone 7-11. It took the police 5 minutes to arrive (great response time) - and they arrested one of the two individuals who didn’t vacate the area upon seeing the police car.
Kudos to the PWC Police Department!!!!
me-n-u said on 1 Aug 2008 at 3:31 pm:
The response time for the police at that property has been very good. It probably has something to do with the stabbing that happened at the 7-11 last month. Does anyone know about that?
Hopefully word will spread about the arrest and the day laborers will quit hanging out there.
oop’s cut and pasted
Well, those day laborer’s loitering about the Centreville library and adjacent businesses have apparently been busy again…

Man Touches Girl, 11
Fairfax County police are looking for the person who improperly touched an 11-year-old Centreville girl at the Centreville Square Shopping Center. The incident occurred last Sunday, July 27, about 3:30 p.m., while she was shopping with friends.
Police say an unknown man walked by them in the parking lot, grabbed the girl’s buttocks and walked away. He’s described as Hispanic, in his 30s, about 5 feet 5 inches and 160 pounds. He wore a red ball cap, a yellow-and-orange Polo-style shirt and blue jeans.

I think alanna and elena have gained some weight recently, they are looking pretty porky. lucky for them lady of america is running a two for one special, all the weight they can lose for one low price. Must be all the mexican food they’ve been eating lately. Gotta hand it too them though, when they say they are helping the economy they are really “helping” themselves!

I had the unfortunate pleasure of seeing K Gotthardt about 2 weeks ago. I’ve known her for 6 years (of pure hell having to deal with her). In the past 2 years, she’s easily gained over 100 pounds. When I saw her, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I mean, she was no skinny-minnie to begin with, but WOW - she couldn’t stand for more than 5 minutes without needing to sit down because it was too much for her!
When people are saying that day labors aren’t hurting anyone they just want to work, they don’t know much about what is going on. When groups of people loiter all day long, with nothing to occupy themselves except hang around, socialize and drink beer, nothing good can come of it. A stabbing at the Coverstone 7-11? Girls being molested and man handled at another 7-11? 7-11 had better wake up.
Do you all remember when the teenagers hung out on Mathis Ave? The police ALWAYS ran them off. I see nothing different about the day labor situation and the police should be doing the same thing.
Please remember that if you see the day laborers on the vacant property next to the 7-11 anyone can call the police to report it. 703-792-6500 Tell the dispatcher you want to report trespassers on the vacant property, on the corner of Coverstone and Miramar, right next to the 7-11. You will also have to tell them that the property owner has signed an agreement with the police department which allows you to call and the police to respond and make them leave.
Call Nancy Pelosi’s office and tell them to reconvene congress and lift the ban on offshore drilling 202-225-0100
Chicko and mm,
I hope both of your posts stay up as I do my response to both of you.
I don’t know Alanna, Elena or K Gotthardt. I have met them all briefly and have corresponded with them via blogging.

I will be posting this on anti too as I am just F$$$ing sick of the low hang low mentality blows that thrive in pwc…well, maybe they don’t.
Regardless, it is just pathetic and so pathetic, that I am questioning why I am even responding, other than it is just that PATHETIC.
ewwwwww!
PWConservative I hope everyone calls her. We need to let her and others know how fed up we are.
Last week the day labors had shuffled up and across the street into the residential town homes. Has that been cured yet? I understand not having them hang out at the 7-11 or on the vacant property but right in the common area of a residential community is even worse!!!

Wow Chick and MM,
That was some really amazing journalism. While your peers are commenting on information from news channels/newspapers or talking about immigration or off-shore drilling, you are hurling tasteless schoolyard taunts at people you disagree with.
Your tactics seem to clash with this blog’s intended goal: “to give voters the information they need in order to make informed decisions about how they might vote.” Even if humor is welcomed here, your sad version of it has missed the mark.
Your families must certainly be so proud. Whatever nasty little giggle or Napoleonic sense of power you may have gotten out of that, just know that your ridiculous attacks only look bad on you, and give some people a quick way to stereotype posters on this blog (bullies, people who have to result to insults instead of arguing a point, people with inferiority complexes for various reasons). I know that is not true, but I’m sure that you do not want to give your opponents any ammunition. In the future, you just may want to stick to the issues.

That is the kind of stuff I expect on the anti site. We can do better.
Found in my inbox this morning:
Thank you for your support for the Rule of Law resolution, which has been very important to me and to the community.
Beginning on Tuesday, July 1, 2008, the Prince William County Police Department began implementing its revised policy regarding illegal immigration enforcement. The policy was amended that police will now inquire into the immigration status of all persons who are under physical custodial arrest for a violation of state or local law. If an immigration violation is believed to exist, police officers will inform the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) concerning that individual. Police officers retain discretion to inquire into immigration status prior to a physical custodial arrest. Police officers will protect crime victims and cooperative witnesses – regardless of their immigration status. Racial profiling is expressly prohibited. Police officers will not detain or arrest individuals based on their national origin, race, religion or creed. During the month of June, all police officers and relevant civilian personnel received training on the new policy and procedures.
More information regarding the Police Department’s immigration enforcement efforts can be found on the web site at: www.pwcgov.org/police.
Due to the numerous emails I have received, my response to you on this issue is general. If I have not answered you according to your need, please email me again at gainesville@pwcgov.org

You know, I read this blog with great interest - I don’t agree with everything you collective say or even all of Greg’s views, but you do him and his work a great disservice when you repeatedly bash those who think differently than you, dismissing them as fat chicks. I don’t agree with Greg much of the time, but I have a certain level of respect for him. He has taken his views, right or wrong, and done something with them. That more than many people can say. What several of you are posting casts him in a very dim light and disrespect who and what you support.
So often you say this is not about the external of race, but your obsession with the externals of Alanna and her crew undercut your own assertion.
Mando, if that is what you expect, then I expect you are extremely disappointed.

Not at all - that is what I’ve come to expect as well, and I’ve never been disappointed. That’s why I don’t even bother to go on that site any more. If you don’t agree with the posters there, you are slammed up one side and down the other. Unless you’re in 100% agreement with them, forget posting your opinion - you get trashed. It is a mutual admiration club. It’s a sham.
There was a murder in the City of Manassas…
now I just had a feeling diversity gal would come out of her affirmative action induced haze. what a treat!
Yup, lets start off shore drilling.
Then, we can do nothing with our situation for the next 10 years and be in the same predicament. Why can’t someone come up with alternitives you ask - because they are making too much money doing nothing and leaving it at status quo.
and if they do start off shore drilling, what is the time to market for these new areas 5 years? It is not like the problem will be fixed tomorrow, or next year.
Sure,Pat.Herve. Let’s just let other countries continue to rape the planet so we can buy their oil, and leave our lands pristine. Just wait until we shelve our Spanish phrasebooks and start having to learn Chinese to better serve our economic masters.
I’m not buying the Obama whine that it will just take too long.
How much whining can these sappy liberals possibly do. I know it takes a lot of inner strength to effectively deal with them because their heads aren’t screwed on very tight.
Smart people occasionally lash out at folks like the “fat chicks”, becasue at the end of the day they cannot be reasoned with. No amount of logical argument you throw at them, or the fact that your view point is backed 100% by law, can keep their emotional responses at bay. Becasue at the end of the day emotion is all that their argument amounts to - and that can be very frustrating. It’s like trying to reason with a 2 year-old.
Also, in my experience, a person who lets themselves’ go in a fashion such as packing on a 100 lbs or so in a short time, is indicative of someone in emotional distress who should seek professional help. My advice, as a compassionate conservative in the true sense, is for Ms. Gotthard and the rest of the folks mentioned, to disengage from this issue, and seek help. Then, when they are able to return as rational, functioning members of our society things will be much better and they won’t have anything to worry about because we will have solved the problem for them.
If it is going to take 5 or 10 years we had better get started. You see all those cars out there? Our need for oil will not be going away anytime soon. I ‘m with T. Boone Pickett, we need to be doing everything.
Some real news from accross the Potomac.
Help Save Maryland is reporting that Hugo Chavez - yes the Hugo Chavez - is now giving direct financial support to CASA of Maryland. Seems that the trip Gustavo Torres (CASA head) made to Venezuela last November, in a clear case of sedition, paid off. How fortunate for the resdients of MOCO and PG county to have a dictator pick up some of the tax-payer tab used to fund a criminal enterprise.
But Terp Town has some good news. College Park city council man Jack Perry has proposed an ordiance to declare my alumni’s home town as English only. Unfortunately, he appears to be the minority as CASA head of propganda Kim Propeack esq. and UMD SGA president Jonathan Sachs had this to say:
But Kimberly Propeack, advocacy director for the Latino rights group CASA de Maryland, said in an e-mail that English-only legislation “tends to be read as cultural declarations about who is welcome in a community.”
“I would ask Councilman Perry if he really wants to send a message to his neighbors that he doesn’t want them living in College Park,” she said.
Jonathan Sachs, Student Government Association president at the University of Maryland, College Park, said he doesn’t support the legislation.
“I pride myself, and my SGA administration and the university does, on multiculturalism and diversity,” Sachs said. “I think this is kind of a step in the opposite direction.”

Mando and DivGal: Well, did she or did she not gain any weight? I have a concern about your hypersensitivity.
Red Dawn and Diversity Gal -
Katherine has made my life a living hell. You may not know her, but I do. You do not know her at all and if you did, I doubt that you would be defending her. You can post this on anti all you want - I personally don’t care. Katherine has been made out to be this hero that you all worship. Yet, there are things in her personal life that would make you cringe and doubt her intentions. Talk with people that really know her and they will tell you about the true Katherine. Not the “live and let live Katherine”, but the “I need to call the cops on you if you sneeze funny” Katherine. Should I entertain you with the number of times that the police have been to my house because of her? Or how about the times that she called social services, only to have the call unfounded and be warned by a judge to drop it? Oh wait - I forget, she can do no wrong. Maybe I could talk about the time that one of her children was incredibly sick and she left to go out with her friends instead of staying home with them?
You do the same crap on anti and don’t deny it. You talk about Greg, Stewart and Stirrup in the same fashion. You’ve called Elvis and Emma names. Katherine herself wished that someone would “die a slow painful death”. So go run to anti and post whatever you want to post. Defend her all you want. I’m at the point where she is finally out of my life and can’t harm my family anymore.
The point is, I’m extremely frustrated, as MdMan pointed out. I’ve tried talking with her, I’ve tried reasoning with her, and nothing. She’s put my family at stake too many times for me to keep trying to be “civil”.
So shoe on the other foot - wouldn’t you feel the same? If your family had been threatened over NOTHING, wouldn’t you be feeling angry? Especially after 6 years of dealing with it, to no avail? If your pregnancy had been put at risk due to the emotional trauma of dealing with someone like this, how would you feel?
Greg knows about this - ask him about the time that Katherine tried to call the police on him because he simply e-mailed her and asked that she stop calling him a Nazi on anti.
So stop making assumptions about where I am coming from. Stop throwing stones until you know the facts. Seems like you all on anti are quick to make fun of those that don’t agree with you, but the minute someone touches the holy triumvirate, the claws come out.
BTW, just looked on anti and saw the crap that you all decided to fling my way. Too funny - you don’t practice what you preach at all, do you?
MM - NO they don’t……hypocrisy at its finest.
I’ve seen all the stuff KG has posted on anti and it makes me a bit funny in the stomach. She’s a pretty hateful person for sure. I didnt post anything about her weight by the way, just the other two jokers that run the website over there. KG has actually be a bit low key these days, she’s likely plotting something I’m sure. I didnt realized that she was “that” horrible but it’s pretty easy to suspect that much. she has children? are they demon spawn? It would be pretty easy to suspect that too, but ya’ know who knows? From her words it would be very easy to draw a few devil-horns on her picture and throw pictures of the two anti blog runners into a commercial for jenny craig. They really do make it soooo easy.
Her children are fine - but she has made damn sure that their father will never be involved in their lives, because we tried (so I”m outing myself - my husband is her ex) to instill some values - like, oh say being responsible if you trash a bathroom or lie to adults - in them. She made sure that she now has sole custody, even though both the judge and the guardian ad litem disagreed with it. I don’t want to bring the children into this. I will say that she uses them as a pawn to get what she wants.
What bothers me is that people who don’t know her defend her and believe the lies that she tells. And then spit at me when I try to say something. I tried to say something on Anti and got such hateful responses from Moon-Howler, Alanna, Elana, Mackie, WHWN and the rest of the crew that I just stopped.
As for her comments about being “disabled” - she herself will say that it is all self diagnosed. All of it. She claims to have PTSD, but can never say what it is from and that is has never been diagnosed by a professional. As someone who works with individuals with disabilities, I’m offended that she would claim her weight gain is due to “trauma”. It’s due to spending her day on the internet, “blogging”. And I’m sure that any veteran who is struggling with PTSD would also be offended.
And here is another intellectual comment by the great k. gothart from the anti site.

I’d prefer the chopped-off-genitals to the cut-up-minorities.
MM- sue the b****!
MM,
I am sorry that you have gone through so much. It sounds like you’ve been going through some very stressful times.
However, I AM going to take issue with some of what you said. No matter what your issues are with that person, whom you are right, I do not know, I don’t think it’s necessary to go there. Maybe I’m wrong, but I get the sense that most people on this blog want to talk about issues like illegal immigration, local government concerns, etc. Perhaps you and k should handle your personal issues with each other outside of this arena.
I have not made fun of you, or called you, Emma, or Elvis names on this or other sites. I once brought up an issue on another site that led to other bloggers teasing the creator of this site. However, I did not call him names. I merely pointed out a disparity between some archived posts and the advertising, and then praised him for being more tolerant.
You’re right…I don’t agree with a lot of people on this site. However, there are so many people here who are willing to discuss the topics, and not resort to name-calling, even if it stems from painful personal feuds. Hey, I’ll admit…sometimes I get so worked up about some stuff that I have to wait before posting. I know I haven’t always chosen my words carefully, and if I’ve offended somebody, I’m sorry. I just think we should all try to do better…like Mando said.
DG -
I’ve tried to “debate” about immigration on anti and have been chased off the board several times. I’ve posted on this blog about immigration. So do your research.
I love how you are defending someone who has torn a family apart. Thanks for the understanding. Just wondering - have you defended others on anti (such as Emma, Elvis, LPOW, Rick Bentley, SA) that get called names or made fun of? Doubt it.
MM- they won’t defend anyone who doesn’t have the same point of veiw. they talk about this blog being hateful this is nowhere near as bad as they are. all of them have to much time on their hands.
Okay, so there was more than just throwing out the nasty. It really did come off over the top without knowing that. I do understand divorce and custody can be one of the nastiest things to go thru. I don’t wish that on anyone!

AMEN!
Were you all in kanagroo court or what?
MM said, “She made sure that she now has sole custody, even though both the judge and the guardian ad litem disagreed with it.
A guardian ad litem recommends to the judge what he/she feels is in the best interest of the children. The judge makes a ruling based on what he/she feels is in the best interest of the children. Obviously the children are where the judge felt it was best for them to be.
Frankly, if I were a judge and I saw that a parent, step or biological, posted this dung on the internet, I would immediately rule in favor of the other parent. Good judgement is a very essential part of parenting. Harassing the ex wife is not good judgement either, especially when children are concerned. My advice to you as someone who had to deal with an ex wife for years is: Stay out of it. Let your husband and HIS ex figure it all out.
What is the judge going to say when your enemy takes all this crappola into the judge? If you can’t take the heat, don’t marry a man with children. And I have every right to make that statement.
Gee, I thought this was the conservative blog site, you know where superiority reigns supreme regarding ‘family values’. YIKES!!!!
Just folks opining in an open thread.
Oh okay. I thought this stuff was real. We all do believe thta family values are the cornerstone of conservative thinking, right?
Enjoy yourself, and have a good weekend.
I am really enjoying myself!!! Thanks for the kind words.

“Anonymous” sounds an awful lot like Katherine Gottart herself.
Ah, KG - she calls everyone who is for the resolution a Nazi. That is nothing new. She probably sees Nazis in her sleep! She deserves to be called names as she’s thrown some really filthy names at people she doesn’t know on antibvbl. She comes across as an extremely mean spirited person. It is no surprise she calls the police on people she disagrees with.

Indeed, they’ve guessed at and made fun of Elvis’ alleged physical appearance. They mocked LPOW for his Chinese wife and claimed she was a mail order bride and told him that illegal immigrants contribute more to society than she does. They’ve called each and every one of them racists, bigots, and other hateful things. They’ve tried to say Greg and Corey are gay and in the closet . All that is apparently OK because they even defended each other when these things are done. But when one of them is called out, even for their wrong ideas - or when they’ve done these things, they are quick to attack. Apparently it is OK for them to call names, but not the other way around. They are just a bunch of children who need to grow up. It is no surprise about KG’s personal life - you can tell from her posts she is not a very considerate person.
Most of the posters over there are civil, one or two are off the deep end.
this is AWESOME! Better than watching a soap. I always knew KG was not as holier than thau as she plays herself off to be. it’s interesting she say’s she’s disabled, I’ve wondered if it was because she was big as a house, needed a crane to lift her into a car, etc. But honestly, I never really thought about her much, she’s not really not THAT interesting. However alanna and Elena are far more interesting folk. people that used to be supporters of republicans and then bag out on them when they dont get their way. I’ve always felt them as being a bunch of whiny idiots personally and I try not to waste too many neurons thinking about their stupid exploits. They probably have some cuckholded husband who is completely oblivious to their goings on while they bring home the bacon. I’ll bet neither of them hold down a full time job, their job is fighting for the “rights” of the illegal aliens (funny, not too many illegals in their neighborhood).
it’s elena and alanna that make me want to vomit for the most part, KG is just another fatty on the street.

Anonymous sounds a lot like me too. Wait, it is me - anonymously, of course.
I quit reading antibvbl.net because they are obnoxious. I think I am about to do the same here.
Actually, Elena and Alanna at least are quite civil in their posts. KG’s posts are often crude and low class, and usually mean spirited - attacking anyone she doesn’t agree with. It just shows how low class and mean she must be in real life - no wonder her ex has so many problems with her! She’s just trailer park trash. She even wished someone would die a slow painful death. They ought to put her on the Jerry Springer show - she’d fit right in!
Agree!! No Christian conservative values over THERE! Gee whiz.
To KG everyone who disagrees with her is racist. Here’s a perfect example of one of her many posts labeling someone as racist, a Nazi, or a bigot. No one is safe from her FALSE accusations. She has even advocated reporting them to the federal authorities.

MM I saw your Bible qutes below on homosexuality and thought you might have missed this litty ditty from Matthew 19…….
Matthew 19
Divorce
3Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?”
4″Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’[a] 5and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’[b]? 6So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”

To thine own self be true. The rest is entertainment.
Don’t pull out the Bible, which I believe is sacred, and use it against someone if you are not willing to have it used against you. Personnally, the concept of “using” the Bible as a negative is foreign to my as regards my faith. It is a gift to us and a source of postive assurance of God’s love.

It sounds to me like the people closest to K Gottard need to do an intervention on her behalf. If what has been posted here about her is true, she is a sick woman and needs professional help. She should not be allowed around a computer - for her it seems like what whiskey is to an alcoholic.
I’ll say a prayer for her.

You can search up the salary of Prince William County and school staff……happy surfing
I heard about this and I’m surprised it hasn’t been noticed.
EVERY PWC employee’s name, position and salary is available online.
I am surprised it hasn’t been noticed also. Guess EVERY SINGLE PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY EMPLOYEE SALARY isn’t that interesting…..

So I guess when a wife cheats on a husband and then abandons her children, you would advocate him staying with her? Isn’t adultery listed in the 10 Commandments?
MM,
You are the third wife and you talk about morality!

What I am advocating is that if you are going to take Bible passages and use them to support your position on something, you’d better be prepared to have that same thing happen to you.
Besides “love thy neighbor” the second best passage to live by is “let he who is without sin cast the first stone”. Or perhaps you are familiar with the Lords Prayer which includes “forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who tresspass against us”….. (most people find THAT one impossible to swallow)
Convictions, rather the courage of convictions are a wonderful thing. Having them can also prevent you from falling into bad situations as well…..

I’ll bet school board meetings in PWC are going to get really intense after this gets out about the elementary math series.
http://www.pwcteachmathright.com/
I agree, Anonymous….particularly in view of the school board’s (Grant Lattin’s) refusal to “experiment with education” when it comes to pay for performance. Experiment??? Hunh??? That’s simple capitalism…we can no longer afford to pay the same salary increase to all teachers regardless of how they perform….we must accept the fact that quality teachers receive quality pay and mediocre teachers either receive mediocre pay or otherwise move on to a different profession.
Freedom
Sign me up to teach at the school in the affluent neighborhood. Those kids really do well on standardized tests! Most of their parents read and even value education. I don’t want to have to deal with kids that come to kindergarten without ever being read to or who don’t even know what a crayon is. The teachers in the disadvantaged schools can work their heads off, but they won’t get the test results MY students will. We can get the brand new teachers to work in the poorer neighborhoods and those idiot teachers who can’t even teach the rich kids will have to shuffle on down to the the poorer neighborhoods.
Anon at 7:59 pm,
To put it bluntly … what rock have you been under for the last year?
Anonymous makes some good points. There are so many factors involved in school success, which is why the classroom teachers should have a say in this. They are on the front lines each day, and they are the experts in their field.
Anon 10:23
I guess I have been under a rock. I knew about and was against TERC Math Investigations. I was unaware that the state of Virginia had put TERC in the “Not Recommended” category of textbooks at the 5th grade level. I also had not heard that it was the lowest rated of the “RecommendedList” for the lower grade level texts. This is because this series does not adequately cover the Virginia SOL objectives. Sorry, I am reporting old news. I’ve been on vacation.
Anon 10:23
Has the DOE report been hashed out at the school board meetings? I have satellite tv and don’t get to see the actual meetings (and am too lazy to go in person)
Wait…test scores are certainly not the only measure of a student’s progress and they aren’t the only measure of a teacher’s contribution to that progress. In fact, there are many more important considerations than test scores. If there were NO test scores at all, then I guess all teachers would be of equal skill, huh??
If a teacher’s accomplishments are to be recognized and rewarded as a means of encouraging and even improving upon past performance, then there must be a formal evaluation of performance. It would be nice if things were so easy as to simply evaluate a teacher’s performance with a student’s “test score,” but it’s not. It’s not that easy with teachers or in the business world. A test score may be one element, but administrators know, or at least SHOULD know and understand the characteristics and criteria of teachers with performance ratings ranging from excellent through outstanding, good, average, poor and unsatisfactory.
Anonymous, you said, “I don’t want to have to deal with kids that come to kindergarten without ever being read to or who don’t even know what a crayon is. The teachers in the disadvantaged schools can work their heads off, but they won’t get the test results MY students will. We can get the brand new teachers to work in the poorer neighborhoods and those idiot teachers who can’t even teach the rich kids will have to shuffle on down to the the poorer neighborhoods.”
You are obviously the kind of teacher who should be assigned in neighborhoods where children have been carefully nurtured during their developmental years. It’s easier and you don’t have to “work your head off.” However, there is absolutely no doubt whatsoever that a teacher who enjoys his/her profession can work with underprivileged children and demonstrate performance is clearly outstanding…and if we recognize and reward the skill and effort of that teacher, she/he will be back next year and produce even more outstanding results. If that teacher is not rewarded for his/her work, but is given the same salary increase as the obvious slug who just might be working in the more affluent neighborhood, we’re not rewarding effort and encouraging improvement…that same attitude is communicated to the students.
I realize pay-for-performance is not popular with the teachers’ unions, but I’m not satisfied with mediocrity.
freedom,
are you an educator?
Teachers who work with the more difficult and challanging kids are the most likely to be able to show dramatic gains and thus reap the rewards of a merit system. Most teachers who win teacher of the year type awards were the ones who worked their butts off to think outside the box with classroom challenges. This is exactly the type of teacher who would earn more. The teacher who plays it safe working with average kids would earn the regular salary.
New teachers will want the challenging jobs to be able to prove themselves and to earn more in their starter years.
Yes, Diversity Gal, I am an educator but not in the classroom, and I’m not affiliated with the school system. I am an educator in the sense that I manage people and motivate performance improvement as a means toward higher salary while achieving more success for business. With salary increase based upon merit, it doesn’t take long to educate the employee. There is no room at the top for those satisfied with for mediocrity; continual improvement is the goal…and continual improvement requires motivation.
You are absolutely correct, anon…the greatest challenge and the greatest improvement, regardless of the starting point, should yield the greatest reward for the teacher. Many school districts have already adopted a “bonus” system to encourage excellence. It’s up to the administrators to ensure that performance is properly evaluated — not solely upon SOL test scores — and then, appropriately rewarded.
Initially, Pay-for-Performance is a difficult concept to sell — it’s simple, as humans, we don’t like the stress associated with having our work measured by those in charge. However, top performers should receive rich rewards; and lesser skilled, talented, or energetic employees (teachers) should be rewarded commensurately. If they are not, no one, not even the outstanding performers receive just reward.

While Dems away, GOPers play — on oil drilling 2 hours, 1 minute ago
WASHINGTON - About 20 House Republicans have cut short their August vacations, gathering on the floor to protest Democratic energy policy and demand that Speaker Nancy Pelosi call lawmakers back into session to vote on an energy package. The bill would include GOP demands for more domestic drilling.
It was a repeat of last Friday’s protest, when Republicans refused to leave the floor after the House officially adjourned for a summer break. As on Friday, the lights were dimmed, the microphones were off and there was no TV coverage as Republican lawmakers delivered impassioned speeches to tourists in the visitors’ gallery. Many visitors were also allowed onto the House floor — a very rare ticket — to get a better view.

I don’t see Chief Deane’s salary in there … i saw somebody being paid over $100,000 a year to be on a Human Rights Commsission?
The way the Democrats don’t even want to vote on domestic oil drilling, and would prefer sending our gasoline dollars overseas, it makes me wonder….If, as the Democrats say, the Republicans are beholden to domestic “Big Oil” companies, whom are the Democrats beholden to? Do you really think it’s possible?
…and Rick Bently, in 2008, the PWC Supt of Schools’ salary is $239,000. Now with THAT kind of salary, wouldn’t you think he could find a way to get “the biggest bang for the buck” from our teachers, and put the voucher system behind us? Not gonna happen with the teachers’ union owning the system…:(

This is urgent!!! Please take a moment and contact your representatives
First I want to condem anyone (Chicko, MM) for saying repulsive comments about anyone else regardless of all the undelying issues. It shows a low caliber of character. Having said that, I deeply agree with people (especially men who have been harmed by unjust and unequal law), that abuses of Child Support, Alimony, Divorce processes and Social Services workers who claim that the best interests of a child are assumed with the mother, are causing enormous injustices to Fathers, who have found themselves up against the “Married Woman’s Act”, and the results of 30 years of feminist polirtical activity that have completly stripped them of equitable rights under common law, by seperating them into gender biased male and female rights issues regarding children.
These are the most common of injustices that discrimminate based on gender and social expectations for Fathers to be portrayed as abusive and mothers to not ever be anything other than perfect.
1. Any claim of “verbal or physical abuse”, founded or not, fantasy or fiction, can result in an “ex Parte” child custody order, removing a man of access rights to his children, no right to a fair and equitable hearing, and no right to an equal standard applied under the law for “common” abuses” by these women on their adversary, often recommended by their lawyers as a “victumless crime”.
2. Lying and committing perjury to character assassinate the father in order to win a custodu or alimony settlement.
3. False accusation of “stalking, death threats, child molestation, physical abuse, verbal abuse, failure to provide financial support to her level of desire and entitlement, just to obtain the kids and rights to support.
4. Theft of credit cards
5. Theft of bank accounts.
6. Running up of debt under common law concepts.
7. Refusal to work so alimony and child support will be the highest amount possible.
8. Separating the father from the children based on false accusations and vengeance seeking.
9. Separating the father from the children because the mother wants sole custody without having to share parenting.
10. Demanding child support, while denying father’s visitation and rights to raise the children equallly.
My advice to all men (some 48% of men now take this advice, and some 60% of men must now go through this life devasting process with divorce biased laws hurting them for the rest of their lives).
DO NOT EVER MARRY.
IF YOU MUST MARRY, MAKE SURE YOU ARE PROTECTED FIRST WITH A PRE-NUPTIAL that does the following:
1. REQUIRES both of you to work, with each of you entitled under common law, to ONLY what you earn (to eliminate leveraging the other’s initiative, talent, and skills beyond their own means as a transfer of wealth.
2. Requires payment of support EQUALLY under the law, with the non-work status (contributions) of a spouse, assigned a “wage” equivalent for “marital services” as the salary computed (say $40K) for child support (to close the loophole of women who quit working, to get bigger alimony and child support settlements).
3. Allows each of you to operate as independent financial entities, neither entitled to the other;s income, debt or future earnings potential, keep ALL of you assets seperate from any concept of “joint marital property”, that ONLY benefits the person who earns the lessor income, and penalizes the person earning the greater income.
4. Requires that you must share the Children equally in time, and expense, as a rule of Child Custody. No parent gets exclusive rights to raise the children and no parent gets labeled as less capable than the other just because of their gender.
5. Requires and mandates, lawyers stay out of divorce proceedings, that resolution only with mediators is ever to be allowed to determine child sharing issues. Require that these be “unbiased” social service professionals who have a proven track record of equally giving as many children to men as they do to women.
Then their are the other “injustices” of gender bias.
1. Socially men are not men if they don’t earn high incomes, they are only valued as wallets and not as “emotionally supportive and available partners”.
2. Money=Love (prove you love me with how much you buy me).
3. Socially men are jerks if they don’t pay all the bills, and “provide” for others, who marry beyond their own means as a sense of entitlement to other people’s wealth.
4. Socially men are jerks if they don’t pay all of the dating expenses in a disproportionate amount.
Far too many men, under duress of impending divorce proceedings and vengenace enabled by “gebder biased” divorce and child custody law, are in desperate need of “violence support clinics”, “anger reduction hotlines” and “equal protection” of the law, in order to help them prevent anger as a result of these “biases” driving them to the point of “primordial threat response mechanisms” and the only available coping mechanisms, and prevent them from reacting with extreme emotions they no longer need when threatened, cornered and abused, but cannot just turn off the DNA and hormonal switch. If you want to save these men, and their families from “insane” behaviors, provide more money, clinics and help assistance programs to help them cope better with what divorce and “legal bias” throws at them.
Michael, you struck a nerve with me because someone I know is suffering through exactly what you describe. She wanted out of the marriage, he was left devastated. She had a highly marketable career prior to starting to have kids two years ago. So how did the judge rule?
She gets full custody, she gets alimony and child support, she gets to keep the rather large house, she does not have to work (the judge would not hear of it, and was very vocal about how she needed to stay home with the kids).
What does he get? The privilege of funding her new lifestyle, mounting debt and near-bankruptcy, living with his parents now and “viisiting” his beloved kids. What are the odds that he’ll even be able to afford a house of his own anytime soon? This is a decent, loving guy, there were no allegations of abuse of any kind, and he has lost everything.
A woman has to be a crack whore to lose custody of her kids, and even then I think the judge would work things to her favor somehow.

He’s in there. I had to scroll thru all the names to see if it was there. Their search function doesn’t seem to be working properly.
Check under “Ironhand” Deane during your search.
Michael-
You are not alone. I am going through it now, with a spouse who decided to “explore her sexuality” by declaring herself a lesbian, cleaning out our joint bank account while I was in Iraq ($30,000 plus) and trashing me to our kids, lying and telling them anything (including that I beat her) to get them to “her side”. I had to file in another jurisdiction because the local judge believed that the children had to go to Mom and I had to pay child support. I now enjoy shared custody and expenses. She signed She has gone through the money and is now living on her salary alone, having a 2/3 reduced income. She cannot live with or marry her equally hateful partner, or spend the night with her in the presence of the kids.
Believe it or not, these situations are fairly common these days. These women are pushing us out of the family unit, robbing us blind, holding our children up as shields and getting away with it. The tide will turn soon. She admitted during discovery that I had never touched her and that she had slandered me to direct attention away from her own abusive behavior.
These women have gotten the impression that it’s ok to act despicably through the media (Oprah, The View) therapists, and femiNazis. They rationalize that it’s better to be empowered and independent, as long as men foot the bill. Then they whine when men don’t marry them or support the children that they have.
Ladies, I know that not everyone behaves badly. But, while you are supporting each other, you need to discourage hateful attitudes. Our kids deserve parents who put their needs first.

In making rounds yesterday I happened by the Coverstone 7/11. There were probably 20 guys hanging out……across the street…..under the trees.
This is on the RaceWay side now. So, can we still call the police???
And someone tell me what constitutes a mob? How many does there
have to be to be a mob? Isn’t that illegal…..mobs?
Then, passing K-Mart, I see 3 guys rummaging through the Goodwill box
outside, stuffing bags full of whatever…..and yes, I called the police….
So much for what I thought was some change at the Coverstone 7/11.
One less illegal Mexican felon to worry about.

Well, He DID have to make up for lost wages….
I posted this on the other board, the one where they think Greg is the anti-Christ … I’ll post it here too.
Imagine that there is a lot of food in your area, but the elitists who run local politics dole it out amongst themselves and give you just enough to live on, though even at that you are generally using credit card debt to have enough food to feed your family, and wage disparity with those elites who run your life (and own the credit card companies) is increasing. You are living hand-to-mouth and indebting your future for the privilege. The elites have let 100 very poor people into the woods around your house, because those poor people work cheaper than you and your friends would, and in fact are taking your jobs and lowering your wages. The elites have most of the food guarded by barbed wire, guard dogs, and armed guards, and refuse to share it with the poor people or with you. You have 90% of what you need to feed your family, and are borrowing at 19.9% interest to come up with the other 10%.
Now imagine that 15 of those poorer people walk into your house and take your food. (15% of Mexico’s working-age population is here illegally). When you see this, they start doing chores, sweeping and cleaning. But now there’s not enough food to feed your children. Do you :
A. Say to them “Well I know you only did it because you were hungry. Please don’t do it again because I need this food for my children”.
B. Make them members of your family and give your children less.
C. Pick up the nearest shotgun or 2 by 4 and provide everyone watching some disincentive to take your food.
D. Complain and organize against the elites. Meanwhile, feed the poor people who do their chores.
E. Complain and organize against the elites. Meanwhile, provide disincentive to the poor people to take your food.
F. Hire the poor people to build a deck for your home and to do some odd jobs, even while borrowing money against your future to get by.
The correct answer is … C or E depending on your mindset.
If you said B, you are a pro-Amnesty type.
If you said A, you have charitable impulses but probably to a fault.
If you said D, I can’t fathom that.
If you said F, you are like many Americans, short-sighted spoiled and rather stupid. You will be the death of this great nation.
Rick Bentley-
Someone complimented me on the Anti site by accusing me of being you.
I hate elitists, too. My son and I just returned from Boy Scout camp Ottari (Claytor Lake Aquatics Base). The camp just opened this season and had limited kitchen help. The food was excellent. The adults were asked to help out and I found myself, a former Marine Corporal, showing three retired Navy Captains how to run a scullery/dishwashing operation. They dived right in and had it running efficiently in no time. That’s how devoted they were to the Scouting Program. No elitists in the kitchen when there’s work to be done!
I see the same attitudes with the people on this site who give of themselves and their time to make our communities better places to live. They jump right in, do the job and expect no back slaps. That attitude is what makes America the best country on earth.
They washed the dishes themselves? I thought Americans were incapable of such jobs!

There are few things more satisfying than tearing out a wall that was used to divide a basement into multiple “hotel rooms”.
Incidentally, whomever put the wall up installed it right under an electrical junction box (a code violation) and didn’t even bother to space the studs evenly. They put 3 studs 8″ apart then put another stud 24″ away and then put two studs 12″ apart…etc. Obviously a lot planning went into this construction project…
Even with all of the debris from the wall laying on the basement floor, it looks way better than it did with the wall up.
I wonder how many illegal aliens are living in taxpayer-subsidized Section 8 Housing around here … I wonder if there would be value in a leaflet campaign about getting their neighbors to report it.
America is now the land of the Big Lie. Situation: recent immigrant buys house and turns it into a tenement with a renter or family in every room. I protest to the HOA. HOA braces the landlord. Landlord claims everyone in the house is related to him. It’s just a “family affair”! Two of the renters are his niece and her fiance. I watch the house. The niece lives in one room, the fiance in another. They scarcely speak to each other. Late at night, “niece” brings other men to her room and “fiance” brings other women to his room. Strange engagement practices in their culture! HOA claims it doesn’t know what can be done. I continue to watch and report, finding out that the family whose entire living space consists of the master bedroom just met the landlord a day or so before moving in. I submit continuing protests to the HOA. HOA claims helplessness but does call in landlord from time to time to “discuss” the issue. After almost one year, landlord finally gives up and rents entire house to a legal immigrant family with many kids. New renters show up at 8:00PM and announce to all astounded tenement dwellers that they have to leave that night. An entire night of gnashing of teeth and loading of pickup trucks. Last word: a departing tenant comes over to me and says I was right all along: Mr. Landlord , in no way related to him, is an evil person. My thoughts: Thank you, President GWB, for telling us how “family values” do not stop at the border. Neither does the Big Lie. Coda: New renters move out a year later: (1) part of house is infested with bedbugs from previous tenants; (2) rent is $600 higher than community average and going up. Conclusion: Too many local governments and HOAs have turned into helpless entities, allowing themselves to be handcuffed by the Big Lie. Solution: Private citizens raising Hell every day and day after day. Support your local Bloggers!!

House Speaker, billionaire behind ‘going green’ racket
T. Boone Pickens, Rep. Nancy Pelosi
TV commercials touting a new clean energy strategy and an environmental ballot measure in California have one thing in common: If they succeed, they’ll make investors from “big oil” to the U.S. Capitol a lot of money.
The ads champion Texas oil billionaire T. Boone Pickens’ “Pickens Plan” to move the U.S. from foreign oil dependence to domestically produced wind power and natural gas fuel for automobiles. The plan is touted as a cleaner, more eco-friendly alternative to our current reliance on coal power and gasoline.
The ballot initiative is California’s Proposition 10, known as the California Renewable Energy and Clean Alternative Fuel Act, which would spend $5 billion in California bond money $10 billion by the time the interest is paid, according to the L.A. Times to promote natural gas as an cleaner alternative for automobile and truck fuel.
Not surprisingly, the nation’s largest provider of natural gas for transportation, Clean Energy Fuels Corporation, or CLNE, has a great deal to gain from the adoption of Pickens’ fuel strategy and the passage of Proposition 10. In fact, according to the California Secretary of State website, CLNE has contributed $3,247,250 to supporting Proposition 10’s passage.
CLNE, however, was formerly known as Pickens Fuel after its primary investor, T. Boone Pickens.
While Pickens touts a plan in the name of environmentalism that will also line his company’s pockets, a #dontgo investigation has revealed that another environmental champion and backer of Proposition 10 has also invested in CLNE: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California.
According to the investigation, Pelosi purchased $50,000-$100,000 in CLNE stock on May 25, 2007, apparently on its initial public offering.
Now the House speaker stands to make a large profit on her reported 22,000 shares of CLNE if she and other public figures can persuade the people of California to vote for Proposition 10 in the name of renewable energy and clean, alternative fuels.
In an L.A. Times editorial, Anthony Rubenstein was highly critical of Proposition 10, calling the measure billed as environmental altruism a “raid on California’s general fund” to support “Pickens’ self-serving national gas agenda.”
“The initiative deceptively reads like it’s supporting all alternative-fuel vehicles and renewable energy sources,” Rubenstein wrote. “But a closer read finds a laundry list of cash grabs. Much of the measure’s billions could benefit Pickens’ company to the exclusion of almost all other clean-vehicle fuels and technology.”
Rubenstein also noted that Proposition 10 charges environmentally conscious Californians with the bill for an initiative that may not benefit California at all.
“Even worse, private trucking and delivery companies could buy 5,000 natural gas trucks, collect California taxpayer-funded rebates of $200 million or more and immediately send those fleets out of state,” he wrote. “It’s like asking California voters to finance a new bridge with taxpayer dollars, without mentioning that the bridge could be in Ohio.”
As WND reported, Pickens touting of wind power is also tainted by his opportunity to profit. The Economist reports Pickens’ oil company, Mesa Oil, has invested $2 billion to build the world’s largest wind farm in Pampa, Texas.
If the “Pickens Plan” calling for more wind power and natural gas fuel is implemented, it will further the billionaire’s other ventures as well, including a major land and water investment in the Texas panhandle that would essentially enable Pickens’ companies to control a water pipeline the way petroleum companies control oil supplies.
The venture, according to the Terrell Tribune, includes forming a fresh water district in Texas’ western panhandle and spending over $100 million to acquire rights-of-way through as many as 12 counties to ship the water to water-needy Texas cities. Part of selling the plan to investors and thirsty municipalites, some of whom have balked at the idea of private water control, is coupling the water pipeline with power lines from Mesa Oil’s massive wind farm.
“It is hard to tell if the water scheme is the device being used to seize the land or if the wind turbine scheme is the means by which he will fund the water scheme,” wrote William R. Collier Jr. in the #dontgo investigation that uncovered the link between Pickens and Pelosi.
Collier further speculated Pelosi’s investment partnership with Pickens will profit them both.
“No matter what the case may be, Nancy Pelosi will personally profit from whatever [Pickens] does as an investor.”
Collier points out Pelosi is one of the richest members of Congress and that her wealth comes primarily from investments, real estate and “now, of course, stocks in CLNE.”
Likewise, Collier pointed to potential benefits for Pickens to have Pelosi’s support, not only for the legislation CLNE wants passed, but also for her help with touting his “Pickens Plan.”
“While the stock was initially offered at $14 and is now valued below that amount, the low of $10 in early July of this year is bouncing back,” wrote Collier, “especially in light of ads by Pickens and growing consensus that the Pickens plan will gain support, especially if Pelosi is firmly behind it.”
