Maybe the Horsey Girls can lead the charge for Operation Crabcake. This could be the modern version of Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders. Just let the girls hear that Delaware is full of deadbeat dads that are not paying their child support, and there will be heck to pay.

Statisical studies by the Wall Street Journal found that
that the top .01%, or 14,000 families, hold 22.2% of
the nation’s wealth - the bottom 90%, or 133 million
families, just 4%. And last year, American CEO’s
earned 262 times the average wage of workers -
up tenfold from 1980.

THis doesn't tell the whole story. Look at the total taxes the wealthy paid versus the lower class. Truth be told, income taxes are unfairly leveled against the rich. CEOs are easy targets, but they bear the responsibility to make change and produce results. They don't punch a clock and leave work at the shop every night.

"Loose lips sink ships"!

Darn Kaine, he leaked "Operation Crabcake"!!

Mass near Chinoteague (use ponies for a quick
mobile strike) and move north the day after Labor
Day with the Bay Brige jammed with traffic westbound.
Seize Pocomoke City in the first hour, Snow Hill
and then grab Ocean City (free taffy for everyone!)
and on to Delaware where we will stop and sing
a rousing "Maryland, Our Maryland" and then plant
the Virginia flag. Purpose: to be sure we control
the drilling rights off -- New Virginia. Big bucks!

And don't think that whimp Martin "Slots" O'Malley will
 be any problem. Geesh.

 Now Kaine -- clam up.

If there has been "class warfare", it has been conducted
by the super rich on America's middle class.

There is certainly nothing wrong with wealth, but
there must be a more balanced stance in the
nation's tax policies. I agree with Obama and the
original McCain view that the Bush tax cuts
tilted heavily in favor of the super rich. They
should be reduced and replaced by larger cuts
for middle class America. I strongly disagree
with the current McCain/Bush idea of major tax breaks for
the super rich and almost nothing for the rest of us.

Just,

Very similar to the statement I made about asking Donald Trump how many properties he held. What does it matter? He is rich, we get it! Some have to work hard for the dream, some are born into it or marry it. The reason it was asked was to help shore up the poor vote by stating he has so many homes he doesn't even know how many he has. A portrayal of such can backfire on you. I wouldn't expect him to know how many homes he owns unless it is indeed 2, one in DC and one in his district or state he represents. Many people have investment property so they can not keep up with it all since it may be sold when the opportunity presents itself. I like the question asked about what stocks are owned, because that is a very fluid situation at best as mutual funds are moved all over to get the best bang for the buck. Some stocks may be dropped and others added. The main point is we do not care what is in our funds as long as it is making us money for retirement. I feel the same is true with Mr McCain, he doesn't care how many homes there are, if they are making solid ROI's.

Shame on Obama for trying to keep the class division going. This is part of the problem we face, the nation is really not as far apart as the democrats would like to portray. Sure there are some rich folks, just like there are very poor folks. This has been the way for a long time. I am very comfortable in my belief that the disparities between the two have decreased over time. Those living at poverty levels have 2-3 color tv's in their home as well as most modern conveniences.

Just because someone was able to make more money or get in on the bottom floor of something, doesn't mean that it can not happen to you as well. If the people that complain about the rich were to get off of their lazy a$$es and work as hard as some of those rich people did and do, they to could be part of that "class". As long as they continue to vote democrat and sit by the mailbox for their monthly check, they will not be anything more than what they are.

Big Dog - without looking at your statements, name the stocks you own and/or are held in your mutual funds and/or in any retirement accounts you have, and how many shares of each are in those holdings.

That question is no less bogus than asking McCain how many houses he owns. The intent was to portray him as some out-of-touch potentate who lives in countless houses as did Barack (sorry) Sadam Hussein.

Only wealthy people can run for President, whether we like it or not. Obama had income of $4 million last year - hardly a man of the people. John and Cindy McCain live in a property in DC, one in Arizona (a home in DC and one in their state or district is typical of senators and representatives), and I beleive they have some sort of vacation property in California. All of the other properties are investment properties belonging mainly to Cindy. John McCain can no more answer that question off the top of his head than you can answer the one I asked.

If a meaningless "gotcha" question like that is the best Obama's people can come up with, the White House will remain safely in Republican hands.

TYVM anon143. Sometimes I make a good one :)

I still want the 40 y/o driving the country. He may have had 3-4 "fast driving awards", but he knows how to handle the car and keep it between the ditches. The 16 y/o has had 3-4 "fast driving awards", but he hasn't been driving as long as the 40 y/o yet.

We can not afford the programs that Barack is promising. It seems to me he is wanting to help out the folks on the public dole even more. where is the incentive for them to look for work? Why should I pay for insurance for everyone when I can barely afford it for myself. When I didn't have insurance, I paid for everything out of pocket. It is part of life. Go to school and get a better job. Why do I, as a taxpaying citizen, have to pay for people to sit on their ass watching the mailbox on the first of the month for their check?

We must elect a President that is strong so he can stand up for America when someone tries to step on our toes. If Clinton had been stronger when the first WTC bombing had occurred, we might not have had the attack on the USS Cole or the Marine barracks. The president has to give off the impression that he will go to war if needed. It doesn't mean he has to go at the drop of a hat, but we have to have someone that can talk the talk and walk the walk IF NEEDED. Barack doesn't have that appearance and I am afraid he will cause us great harm here at home.

The leftists are trying to have it both ways with McCain's houses. Let's just suppose that McCain answered the question correctly. The next thing you would hear is the same set of leftists still crying about how many houses McCain owns and trying to say he is out of touch. Such bullsh*t.

About the "caring:" If a candidate really says that he cares and "feels your pain," do you believe him? I think I might prefer the one who doesn't make false pretenses.

Many wealthy individuals have been great Presidents
 - Washington, TR, FDR for example, and that
certainly doesn't disqualify one for office (not
a few U.S. Senators are millionaires), but the
question is - do they know and care about the
rest of us? If you are rich and powerful, it
is easy to fall into believing that your pals
and you are in place because of some "divine right".
The present short-timer in the White House is
a classic example of a kid born on third base
who thought he hit a triple. Is John McCain
the Maverick of 2000 on the Straight Talk Express
willing to "call them as he sees them" even
when he got battered by the GOP smear machine
or has he sold his political soul to the devil/Rove
 in a Faustian bargain?

Big Dog,

He is not out of touch with reality. As I said, in my post, he probably doesn't have that information committed to memory. He has too many other issues to deal with besides knowing how many homes he owned. I would be a bit disappointed if he did know, since that means he is more interested in himself vs the regular people out here trying to make a living. I am interested in hearing how he is going to fix what is broken and make things better for me, than I am about knowing how many houses he owns. He is rich, we get it. SHEESH!!

I would love to have Donald Trump asked the same question. My guess is he has people that deal with his real estate deals on the side rather than involve him with every detail. I am willing to bet he says, OK you have the reins on this one, don't let it go for any less than xx dollars. If they will not negotiate to that amount, call me and I will talk to them. I can not imagine Donald making every real estate deal today. We all know he doesn't oversee all of his projects, hence the last few seasons of the Apprentice.

Where is the information about Barack and his multi-million dollar house in Chicago and how it was obtained?? I am from IL originally and I know quite a bit about the "State of Chicago" as the rest of the State of IL calls it.

I also came across an interesting bit of information in regards to Barack and his charitable gifts. Seems the Obama's are not as charitable as the McCaine's are. McCaine gave 27.3% of his income to charity last year, where Obama gave just 2.7%. Who really knows the needs of those less fortunate?

Let me ask this question, would you want a 16 year old driving your family across country or would you want a 40 year old doing it? Elect Barack and the 16 year old is driving, elect McCaine and the 40 year old is. I feel safer with someone that has experience at the wheel. Let Obama go back to the Senate, get some experience and then come back and try again. He is not experienced enough to call the shots or drive this country a great distance. Because of this lack of experience, it is easy to say it might be easier to persuaded him to do things that a President with greater life experiences might not allow to be done. I am sure we all know that decisions we make early in life directly affect us later in life.

BTW a quick note, I saw PWC at the Coverstone 7-11 running off the day laborers. There were 2 cars and 2 officers. The day laborers seemed to congregate on the other side of the street, so I have to wonder if they went right back over after they left.

What is the definition of a house is? (Sound familiar from Clinton?)

Do you count time shares, condos, residences you spend the most time at or vacation houses? I can understand how the question could be loaded and obviously information that is not important to the Senator to commit to memory. Really, how important is it to really know how many homes one owns? Which ones are investment property? As DPortM said, she can own homes he may not be aware of. Who is to say it is really any of the press' business how many he owns?? How does that affect the way he will run the country? Ohh, you have 7 houses, so you are NOT qualified to run the country, however, if you had only owned 6 then everything would be ok. SHEESH!!!!
