I am hoping that someone will host a Q/A session for the incumbents and candidates. Last time (2006) the MP Women’s Club did it

If that's the case, will Spanish or English be used?

I am hoping that someone will host a Q/A session for the incumbents and candidates. Last time (2006) the MP Women's Club did it, but it could be anyone who wants to take the time to organize it.

I do want to mention that the MP Republican Committee will have it's quarterly meeting at the MP Police Station on Manassas Drive in the community room starting at 7pm on Monday, Sept 15.

I will be there, if you'd like to get involved, or just want to find out what's going on, please come.

I don't know, but maybe Brian Leeper does. Are you out there Brian?

I was absolutely convinced to vote "none of the above" or for the first time ever, skip the elections altogether. I will now be voting McCain. Never thought I'd say that. Palin is the best thing that has happened to his campaign.

Anonymous is simply reflecting the fear that the dems have of a young, powerful, intelligent woman whose family has imperfections just like the rest of us. As far as I am concerned, her presence strengthens McCain's prospects. She understands family life and the struggles that many women have balancing families and careers. I would much rather vote for the likes of her than the elitist, inexperienced sham that is Obama. If picking on her because she has a high-powered career and is raising children is the best attack Anonymous and others can come up with, then I am very encouraged at Palin's prospects.

No Anonymous, that comment would reflect how the Dems view Obama.

Oh, I assure you that I am fully flawed parent in a career that requires post-graduate work. Perhaps my strong reaction is days of hearing about how great Sarah Palin is, like she is the second coming of Christ. I get two calls a day as the designated special needs mom to ask what I think. Perhaps I was foolish to think any of our friendly BVBL/HSM types would care about my thoughts. I think she should be giving her time to her new baby with some extraordinary needs and her pregnant teenage daughter rather than running for vice president.

Anonymous, you sound like the kind of mom many of us prefer to ignore on the playground--you know, judgmental, know-it-all, thinks she does everything "the right way" compared to everyone else. What a bunch of self-righteous, old-school thinking. I'm pretty sure that if your paid employment was in any way meaningful, you wouldn't waste your time condemning women who have demanding careers. What do you do for a living, pass out smiley stickers at Wal-mart?

Yeah, we get that you put your kid first, and anyone who you think doesn't has screwed-up priorities in your vapid mind. And you have totally discounted the role of the child's father. Is he not capable of taking care of his special needs child? Haven't you noticed that the children of Presidents and VP's tend to go to private schools and enjoy many resources and advantages that the rest of us don't? Is Daddy not good enough? Does your child's father do ANYTHING right?

"Perhaps this VP job will afford Palin opportunities for her son to have access into some of the finest “special needs” schools in the country. I’m sure she thought long and hard before accepting this position on the ticket."

Your very answer suggests that farming out her child to someone else's care is acceptable because he has special needs.

I just recently saw that someone had painted red the same "F**K MS-13" on the bike path adjacent to the Giant near 234B and Wellington Rd. What is that all about? Rival gang I assume.
Also noticed new tagging on the Golds Gym wall in MPark.
