Joe Biden Comes To Prince William
By Greg L | 3 September 2008 | Prince William County | 25 Comments
I learned this evening that Joe Biden is coming to Prince William tomorrow and may lecture us on how we’re insensitive to illegal aliens and should be talking about how to give them amnesty. The tickets apparently were released tonight to people considered to be “safe” for this kind of event, and Biden will speak tomorrow at 1PM at the Verizon Theater at George Mason University. You’d think Biden might have wanted to talk to Prince William County residents rather than a hand-picked crowd of supporters, but I suppose this has something to do with the “red to blue strategy” that I just wouldn’t get, anyways.
I think Mr. Biden could use a warm, Prince William County welcome. Here are a few messages we could welcome him with:
- Obama Resume (blank piece of paper)
Win the War!
Pardon me while I cling to my Bible and my guns
What part if ILLEGAL don’t you understand?
I inflated my tires and commuting is still expensive
No amnesty for illegal aliens!
Welcome! Our 7-Eleven employees don’t have indian accents!

Never mind my question. I see that MJM is reporting this and tickets are available until 9:30 tonight

The Obama bin Biden campaign has released an excerpt of the speech He will deliver tomorrow.
“General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization: Come here to this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”
“Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth, upon this continent, a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.”
“These Republican leaders have not been content with attacks on me, or my wife, or on my sons. No, not content with that, they now include my little dog, Fala. Well, of course, I don’t resent attacks, and my family doesn’t resent attacks, but Fala does resent them. You know, Fala is Scotch, and … his Scotch soul was furious. He has not been the same dog since.”
Hopefully the 3 or 4 people that attend this event will let others know what happened.
Further… I guess Hussein O. didn’t make that big of an impression the last time he was here. And now he’s sending Biden!? LMAO! Too good!
Exactly where in the GOP platform do we find the commitment to the border fence??? From what i can see, NO WHERE. Not surprised considering LA RAZA was on the GOP agenda last night — good grief!!! Consider the following:
“Espinoza of La Raza, was keynote speaker for McCain last night
Espinoza bragged of his close friendship with McCain but an even larger affront to America and American citizens is Juan Hernandez formerly on Mexican President Vicente Fox’s staff.
Juan is one of McCain’s most trusted political advisors. (I can safely promise that the links provided below, about Hernandez, will blow your mind!)
The American people have been rudely and deliberately slapped in the face by BOTH political parties and we are still expected to vote for one of these men. How bizarre is that?
What does that say about what we, ourselves have allowed to happen? We have actually participated in and abetted our own destruction by returning “Career Politicians” to office again and again. ”

On the issue of illegal immigration, i think the American public is about to be hoodwinked by BOTH parties!!
Can’t argue with cityrez. The only good in McCain I see is that he is going to secure the border. I hope we can work on him concerning the other half of the problem.
After Sara Palin’s rousing speech this evening, I hope everyone will join me in bunking the permanent political establishment represented by Joe Biden and support John McCain and Sara Palin this fall. Keep Virginia red! Join us!
I’m with you, Ducky - she did a GREAT job, didn’t she?
If character is the measure in this election, and hope the theme, and change the goal we share, then I ask you to join our cause. Join our cause and help America elect a great man as the next president of the United States.
Sara Palin

Yeah, after Palin, I can and will vote for McCain/Palin this year. I won’t even have to hold my nose!
Ditto, BattleCat. You all should read the GOP platform this year. AmericanGal4Ever posted the link. They are taking a hard line on illegal immigration and say build the fence, enforce the rule of law, use e-verify, and most importantly - NO AMNESTY.

Be NOT SO FAST to trash cityrez - See page 10 of the platform document. Here is an exerpt (with emphasis added):
Our determination to uphold the rule of law begins with more effective enforcement, giving our agents the tools and resources they need to protect our sovereignty, COMPLETING THE BORDER FENCE QUICKLY AND SECURING THE BORDERS, and employing complementary strategies to secure our ports of entry.
McCain made no changes to the platform in this area including a strong statement against any kind of amensty.
Tickets were released on a first come first serve basis. Just once it would be nice if you could actually get some facts straight instead of trying to create some made up conspiracy theory.
The Democrats will focus on the economy and how they
plan to help “middle class America”. They clearly see
this as their best path to victory in Nov. Neither
party is going to address the complex, explosive
issue of immigraion reform during the next sixty days
- way too much down side.
“The Democrats will focus on the economy and how they
plan to help “middle class America”.
Yeah, they’ll discuss how they can raise taxes and continue to tax the crap out of us. Hang on to your wallets!
The stated Democratic goal is to cut some of the Bush
tax cuts for the super rich and give them to the middle
class. Neither party, though, has a pragmatic
workable economic plan - where the numbers
actually add up. (Bush has cut taxes for
the wealthy, increased spending and greatly added
to our national debt. He didn’t make the hard choices
and has left a mess for the man who enters the WH
early next year - whoever it is.)

Younger,
My family is not rich, but we did benefit from the tax cuts that were pushed by Bush and passed by Congress. So, I think it is a bit unfair to say just the rich benefited from the tax cuts.
Obama has said he will increase the “death” tax, support a windfall profit tax, which of course will be passed onto us when we buy gas, and will increase the Capital gains tax.
illegal immigration is a lost cause on both Candidates.
Obama is certainly going to “give” money to what he calls the middle class. The truth is, the scheme is called “refundable tax credits,” or, IOW, using the IRS to give welfare to people who don’t really pay taxes. Tax hikes start at $41,000 for single filers. Taxes also get raised on dividends and businesses (including small ones). His big spending plans will not be supported by the tax hikes, so the definition of “the rich” will get adjusted downward rather severely.
We need the Republicans to win! Only they can clean
up the horrible mess created by eight years of a
Republican President! Of course.
And by the way, I have a bridge in Brooklyn you can buy.
I hope Joe got to see the sign before it was taken down…
Three points of the GOP platform which put a smile on my face.

The rule of law means guaranteeing to law
enforcement the tools and coordination to deport
criminal aliens without delay — and correcting court
decisions that have made deportation so difficult.
It means
requiring cooperation among
federal, state and local law
enforcement and real consequences,
including the denial
of federal funds, for selfdescribed
sanctuary cities,
which stand in open defiance of the federal and state
statutes that expressly prohibit such sanctuary policies,
and which endanger the lives of U.S. citizens.
We oppose amnesty. The rule of law suffers if
government policies encourage or reward illegal
activity. The American people’s rejection of en masse
legalizations is especially appropriate given the federal
government’s past failures to enforce the law
I just received a call from the VA Dems asking how closely I was following the Presidential election, and whom I support now and if I would follow up that support by voting for whom I support. They also asked about Senate race. The youngster on the line did not sound too excited when I said I was voting for John McCain and Jim Gilmore.
