1,100 arrested in California
from USA today
SANTA ANA, California (AP) — U.S. immigration authorities said Monday they arrested more than 1,150 people in California in a three-week sweep, the state's largest of its type since since 2003.
The sweep targeted immigration violators including those who have ignored deportation orders or returned to the U.S. illegally after being deported.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman Virginia Kice said it was the largest such action by fugitive enforcement teams in California since the squads were formed in 2003.

Kice said of the 1,157 immigrants arrested statewide, 595 had outstanding deportation orders and 346 had prior criminal convictions. Those arrested were from 34 countries, she said.

The raids, which ended Saturday, produced 436 arrests in the San Francisco area, 420 in the Los Angeles area and 301 in the San Diego area.

I hope that those who are building the holding facility in Farmville have studied thoroughly what happened in Arkansas after the Cuban boatlift some years ago. Build well and smartly, my friends!

If John McCain is elected, these organizations have "bi-partisan appeal"... like I've said before, if Obama is President, he can't get it passed, Senate Republicans will block it and red-state Democrats will not be able to vote for it. If its McCain... Republicans will let him have it, and red-state Democrats are being bi-partisan.

I'm not voting for Obama... but I'm not voting for McCain.

Another reason to not vote for John “I will pass amnesty” McCain.

And if you let Obama win by continuing to call for McCain's defeat, you will almost garantee that these fringe leftist organizations are granted main-stream status. If this isn't abundantly clear to you by now, then I hope you are listening for the "pop". You know, the sound your head makes when you pull it out from where it is currently stuck.

I just love reading that stuff. It's so retro (like pre-WWI). I would have thought copy like that was long dead. The idea of anarchists trying to organize things is always very amusing. Did it ever occur to anyone that these folks might be kind of like reenactors for Middle European pamphleteers in the late 19th, early 20th Centuries?

Once upon a time, groups like CASA of Maryland, ACORN and LA RAZA where in the "little crackpot" catagory.

Look at them now ... getting federal funding ... CASA gets fed by tax dollars and Hugo Chavez... and ACORN and LA RAZA might win the pork lottery with this affordable housing trust fund bailout fiasco.

I agree that under most circumstances crackpot groups such as the Virginia Anarchist Federation this with trivial, meaningless membership levels should be ignored. This difference here is there association with individuals and groups such as Ricardo Juarez and Mexicans Without Borders. Juarez and MWB are accorded "mainstream" status by some local officials, activists, government employments and media. Knowing their affiliations and true leanings is critical for us. Greg does us a public service by digging up this stuff.

The truth about the "Cloward-Piven Strategy" was uncovered decades
ago, way before Obama wormed his slimey self into ACORN. Yet, nothing
has been done to stop their tactics. Rudy Giuliani is still cursing them
for the bankruptcy of his city in 1975.

Complacency is the ally of anarchy. The ability of these small groups to manufacture and orchestrate social chaos should never be underestimated. Their impact is magnified when taken in combination with a plethora of other radical organizations that are better funded and have the equally malevolent goal of the deliberate failure and destabilization of our institutions—be it voter fraud, mortgage disasters or illegal immigration. For more on this "Cloward-Piven Strategy" for America and Obama’s crusade in promoting it, see:

This just demonstrates the absurd lie that folks like this have any interest in protecting America or it's people. While they make consistent claims that they really aren't trying to destroy our nation and our culture, among themselves they talk about being dictators to the proletariat, fostering revolution and destroying capitalism. Go to their rallies, and you see them promoting candidates from the socialist worker's party and selling books on Marx.

They present themselves as the reasonable folks in the debate, as if closing all prisons and granting amnesty to illegal aliens makes any sense at all. Too bad when these idiots show up at board meetings to bash true patriots we can't have them answer questions about what they're really trying to do. They hate america. People need to know this.

Good job of uncovering the truth behind what these people are trying to do. I wish the press would do this.

Greg points these groups out because they all want legalization/citizenship for the millions who came here illegally. They work hand in hand with groups that support illegal aliens.

Well said Bosun, which makes Greg L.'s frequent attention to these tiny groups (membership in the dozens to few hundreds) all the more odd. If I didn't know better I would think he was their greatest booster because he gives them a relevance they don't have. He does them proud.
