I’ve always been curious about elwina’s hyphenated name, what’s up with that? To chicken to take the full plunge? guess if she splits up it’s easier to drop the name or something. Never understood that practice, had a friend once (who was pretty whipped) take his WIFES name, I couldnt believe it.

While the Dems have not done much but pass non binding resolutions, let’s not forget this. The first 6 years of the Kings term he failed to veto a single thing. While it was clear many things were not right, they, the administration and congress, failed to act.

For example:

In 2004 Franklin Raines, CEO of Fannie Mae stepped down during an investigation of Fannie Mae, when it was discovered they had cooked the books in order to receive MILLIONS in bonus money.

While some of his supporters in congress tried to pull the race card in his defense, neither party called for harsh penalties, and he and his associates got away with paying pennies on the dollar in restitution.

No need to ask why they get away with millions and the guy who robs a gas station of $250 is doing serious time.

A little over one year ago: Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high; Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon; The unemployment rate was 4.5%; The DOW JONES hit a record high of 14,000 +; American’s were buying new cars, taking cruises, vacations overseas, living large!

But American’s wanted ‘CHANGE’! So, in 2006 they voted in a Democratic Congress and yes–we got ‘CHANGE’ all right.
In the PAST YEAR:
Consumer confidence has plummeted; Gasoline is now about $4 a gallon; Unemployment is up to 6.5%; Americans have seen their home equity drop by $12 TRILLION DOLLARS and prices still dropping; 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.

Yesterday, the DOW hit a low and nearly $2.5 trillion dollars has evaporated from folks stocks, bonds, and mutual funds.
