When John Steinbach Says You’re Wrong…

John Steinbach penned an amusing letter to the editor that was published in the Potomac News today, trying to depict Help Save Manassas and some of its leadership as extremist as if Mr. Steinbach ever had standing as arbiter of what is reasonable and what is not. When the anarchists are calling you an extremist, you’re probably doing something right.
First, a little background on Mr. Steinbach, just so you can fully appreciate his credentials. He’s been a spokesman for Mexicanos Sin Fronteras (Mexicans Without Borders) , a leader in “Unity In The Community”, the Woodbridge Workers Committee, the “Gray Panthers”, the Hiroshima-Nagasaki Peace Committee and the Committee Of Indigenous Solidarity (DC area Zapatistas). He’s worked with International ANSWER and the October Coalition, and ANSWER-affilitated anarchist organization that protests against the IMF and World Bank and other instances of “neoliberalism”. Steinbach even gives seminars on “Zapatista organizing principles” to fellow radicals. He’s a pretty hip guy in the radical movement, by all accounts.
There are anarchists, and then there are anarchists. Some are social anarchists, who are into it because it’s the hip thing. But all of us are anarchists to some degree, or we wouldn’t be in the movement. (Washington City Paper, April 2000)
So what does a self-admitted anarchist have to say about his worldview? Here’s a taste:
He’s on record saying that former Israeli President Ariel Sharon is a war criminal, has railed against “the power of the zionist lobby”, celebrated the “leadership” of terrorist leader Yassir Arafat, claimed that U.S. aid to Israel supports the repression of palestinians, and said that that Iran complies with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty better than the United States does.
Steinbach was until this year a permanent substitute teacher at Metz Middle School in Manassas. His contract was not renewed this year for undisclosed reasons that might have something to do with the effect of his political outlook on the classroom or him parking a car with handicapped tags in the school lot that were issued to his handicapped wife who died five years ago. At least Metz students don’t have to deal with this, but readers of the Potomac News apparently still do, as long as he thinks his letters to the editor are worth his efforts.
Rather than embracing and celebrating our new diversity, the BOCS instead chose to approve a divisive and self-destructive resolution written by Help Save Manassas, which has been labeled an extremist organization by the Anti-Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center.
As someone whose first job as a teenager was working shoulder to shoulder with Mexican farm workers in the fields of southern Michigan, I am outraged that the board of supervisors continues to fan the flames of hatred and intolerance, dividing our community and pitting neighbor against neighbor.
It is unacceptable that our elected public officials brand residents who dare express criticism of Prince William County’s misguided immigration policies, including the Human Rights Commission, local clergy and human rights groups, as extremists, while a vocal minority of actual extremists who seem to control the BOCS have been rewarded with a spot on the Strategic Goals Taskforce.
This “divisive and self-destructive” policy, as Steinbach describes it has reduced the number of illegal aliens unlawfully residing in Prince William County, which has saved county taxpayers millions in public benefits costs and school costs, reduced crime and improved traffic safety. Unless you happen to be convinced that borders are artificial and that illegal aliens should be rewarded with amnesty for their unlawful conduct, this policy has been a model for successful local initiatives to restore the quality of life in a community after an invasion of illegal aliens.
Several articles appearing this same day demonstrate the necessity and wisdom of what an anarchist like Steinbach abhors. In nearby Maryland, an illegal alien was arrested in connection with the murder of a 63 year old woman and conducting five home invasion robberies in Montgomery County. This piece of human garbage preyed specifically on elderly women, and should have never been in this country in the first place had our government bothered to enforce our laws to get and keep illegal aliens out of our country. In addition to this heinous crime, the woman who put her newborn daughter in a garbage bag and threw her in the trash causing her to die is also reported to be an illegal alien.
In Prince William County, in 2007 before the implementation plan for the Rule of Law Resolution went into effect, more than half of all murders in the county were committed by illegal aliens. Maryland welcomes illegal aliens just as John Steinbach demands Prince William County should do. Needless to say, it’s not working out so well for them.
When John Steinbach says you’re wrong and gets really worked up about it, and he does this pretty freqently, I take it as a strong endorsement that you’re on the right track. That leaves only one question: what can we do next that will really piss him off?

Take your own words of advice, Independent. I’m pretty sure you’re from the anti site, where hateful words are often spoken about Greg, Corey and John. So like you said - “if you can’t say anything nice about someone, don’t say anything at all” are, as usual, hypocritical to the MAX!
Next we need to get the BOCS to pass a resolution that requires anyone selling alcohol to require a picture ID to buy it. The illegals will self deport even faster if they can’t have their alcohol. How do we go about this? This will really tick off MWB. If we have to show IDs to vote, which I’m for, we should have to show IDs to purchase alcohol.

Dave in PWC if you look under a certian age the clerks are required to ask for I.D. Although they can ask anyone regardless what age they look for I.D. and also refuse to sell if they don’t have one. I think you maybe on to something.
The I.D. that has to be shown is a valid government I.D. Not to many illegals would have that.

I’ve been carded at the local grocery stores and 7-11’s and I am 50. While in line in front of me hispanics who speak the same language that the clerks speak don’t get carded.
I’ve reported this to the state ABC board and they said they would investigate, but it’s been months and I’ve heard nothing.
Illegals don’t have proper ID, they need to be denied the ability to purchase alcohol, then maybe there will be less drunks on the road at a minimum.

EL PASO, Texas — The U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals has ordered the resentencing of two former border patrol agents.
The two agents were convicted of shooting a man near the U.S.-Mexico border.
The resentencing was ordered after tossing out the agents’ convictions for tampering with an official proceeding.
Ignacio Ramos’ resentencing will be Nov. 13 in El Paso, and Jose Compean’s will be Nov. 12.
The two were originally sentenced to more than 10 years in prison for shooting Osvaldo Aldrete Davila in 2005.

I was on the anti website today and found something extremely interesting. A guy was attempting to talk to the crazies over there and they totally creamed the guy! gave him the entire business basically, about everything they could do but call him a liar. it was under the heading of their little italian pity party they had the other day. I HIGHLY suspect that the reason they didnt hold the party at a hispanic joint is because someone got on them about it. I heard rumblings from many on that site that hispanic restaurants were the only ones chose.

We should all derive a great deal of encouragement (if not amusement) from Mr. Steinbach’s letter about me in the Potomac News. The vitriolic lies he published are proof that he and his little band of cyber stalkers have given up debating the issues and are concentrating on character assassination. We’ve won the high ground, folks. Now it’s a matter of consolidating our victory, re-distributing ammo, and sending a few raiding forays out to deal with guttersnipes like himself and his three or four associates. I’ll deal with them in an appropriate way. We’ve got bigger venues to take the issue to, and must not get distracted by those traitors who have chosen to assist nations that intend to use our neighborhoods as a dump for their excess populations.

Don’t feel sorry for her. This wacko has nothing better to do in her life than to sit on her butt and send e-mails to the BOCS (which they probably delete before even reading). Her little friends on anti don’t even bother responding to her anymore and she continues to get more and more delusional with each post. When you as her for her “evidence”, she has none. Hell, even Citizen Tom has stopped responding to her on his own blog because of her antics!
Although, maybe we should feel sorry for her - she seems quick to recommend therapy to everyone else, maybe she should try it out - I hear there are great meds available for people who are delusional!

I totally agree. What’s really interesting on the site is that I think the “NGL” persona is actually KG herself. I doubt she posts as herself any more but the content is equally disturbing. it appears that blog is destined for failure being as they appear so paranoid about anything and anyone that posts. From my most recent views it appears their postings are down, wonder if that’s because they jump all over everyone that is not in their little circle of friends? They flat out jacked this one guy up (an immigrant at that) and from what I read he was nothing if not extremely pleasant and nice. From what I read, not one negative word in any of his posts. If they were truly for the immigrant they would have been nice to him. Taking another tack if their message is to get people talking and communicating they should have welcomed any view. so much for communication!
but…apparently that is not the case. many of us have been saying this since the blog appeared. it’s just a psychotic girls club composed of women who have no purpose (and no job) and thus nothing better to do than sit around on their chunky a$$es and type in a blog all day.

they do seem to treat her like “the village idiot” which is indeed sad. she may even have some valid points, but her delivery stinks. KG just seems like someone who needs a friend and she attached herself to folks that just use and abuse people. From looking at Elena’s track record, I wouldnt trust her farther than I could throw her. Alanna is way too combative to get any type of message across. And Dolph is just plain nuts to take seriously. The way they act is so “high school” it’s pretty pitiful. When you view the interactions on their website it’s like they are reliving the high school days. They should rent “mean girls” and get a good look about how they really are (of course they dont look anything near like linsay lohan).
I find their little pity parties most distasteful, they throw parties for people they really dont give a damn about. i noticed that they usually change their handles frequently. But they are pretty easy to spot. NGL could be her, it appears though after looking that the NGL rants are a little more coherent (a little) but they are pretty combative (just like KG) I think NGL is actually a little more combative (and apparently hateful to immigrants), I had always thought KG loved immigrants (legals and illegals) so it’s interesting to hypothesize on which one is which. Either way NGL is flat out stupid. Probably just another “hanger on” to the Elena/Alanna train wreck.

I’ve served on the PTA with KG. She has zero social skills and really doesn’t care for children. She likes to see herself as an “activist”, but doesn’t volunteer - mainly she writes e-mails and blogs.
She’s shunned in the community. I personally think that she has a vendetta against PWCS and PWC because she was fired as an ESOL adult ed teacher. She claims that she was “railroaded” and was discriminated against because of her disabilities (supposedly she has self diagnosed ADHD/PTSD), but the truth is (from someone who works in the county in the adult ed office) that she was running her mouth to her students about PWC and how racist it is. She was fired because she doesn’t have a teaching degree.
She really has no life. Her little anti friends don’t even post on her blog. Nobody posts on her blog, because she attacks them if they do.
And I see that they are continuing to attack James, even though he has asked for information about their little “study circle”.

From her own blog. If you exercise, don’t you usually LOSE weight? For all of you government workers out there, hope that she gets denied because if not, your insurance is paying for it.
And Tyler, her poetry is horrible.
ChickenLittle, if she is exercising “a lot” how is she able to constantly blog all over the place, adding comments to letters to the editor, etc.? The insurance company should be aware of her obviously sedentary lifestyle which will only serve to undermine any hope of surgery fixing her. Not a good investment for them (doctor or insurance).
If you want someone else to pay for that kind of surgery, you keep the weight up past a certain percentage (BMI), and maintain that for at least six months so that it becomes a “medical condition” that is out of your control somehow. So she gets to eat nonstop ho-hos to keep the weight up so that insurance will pay. Legal? Yes. Fraudulent? Absolutely.
Steinbach is still a sub with the City of Manassas Schools. Just not a permanent sub. Once again, there was no contract to renew because permanent subs do not have contracts.
Yes KG is a very interesting creature indeed. I think all of them are interesting, you could create a social study on them. Someone should do doctoral research on how they interact with each other, who knows maybe they could win a nobel prize.
I feel sorry for some people posting on that other blog, some of them truly believe in what they are doing/saying and that’s commendable even if I dont agree with what they say you have to give them props for being true.
I’ve never felt that the alanna, elena nor KG really believed or practiced what they preach. mainly this is why I cant stand them. I’m all about standing up for your beliefs, but when your beliefs change with the seasons or you get involved with things because it props you up to your community then that’s an issue. it makes you worse than the politicians that you are ranting about.
we’ll have to see how long their blog lasts and how many times their message changes (whatever the message actually is). I give the blog about 6 months before the only posts made are from the big three themselves. they are so busy fighting amongst themselves now it’s not even funny. As they say “evil feeds on itself”, give it time and they’ll all be feeding on each other.
My son used to complain about Steinbach and the free-for-all he allowed in the classroom at Metz. The biggest troublemakers happened to be the Hispanic kids, but Steinbach would basically just ignore them and deny there was any problem. So the kids following the rules were punished because the class was too disruptive for any learning to go on. I got sick of compllaining to the school, because apparently I was supposed to understand how tough life is for subs.
